Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today in Country Church with Ray Milhoun officiating. Go on East Interstate 40 to the Amarillo College East Campus exit 80, then go north 1.2 miles on Spur 228. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Coleman was born April 4, 1946, in Clarksville, Ga. She had lived in Amarillo since 1979. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Toni Dickenson of Amarillo and Teresa Coleman of Pekin, Ill.; a son, Michael Coleman of Fairfax, Va.; her mother, Hazel Robinson of South Carolina; a sister, Frances Thompson of South Carolina; two brothers, John Robinson of South Carolina and Jimmy Robinson of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Prayer vigil will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church with the Rev. Anthony Neusch, celebrant, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Cross was married to Sheila Kaye for 36 years. He was a scoutmaster for Troop 87 for a number of years. He was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and most recently was employed with the Texas Department of Transportation as a lab technician. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Stephanie Cross-Ward of Kansas; a son, Sammy Cross of Lubbock; his mother, Virginia Cross of Amarillo; a brother, Ivo Cross, of Herndon, Va.; a great-aunt, Rose Mary Cross Hanson of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. Phu Phan officiating. Mrs. Hernandez was born June 30, 1926, in Logan, N.M., to Donaciano Montano and Amelia Cordoza Montano. She married Robert Hernandez on Dec. 3, 1949, in Clovis, N.M. She was a homemaker and community volunteer. She started Canyon Community Family Services and was named Citizen of the Year in Canyon. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Marie Warren of Canyon; a son, Michael Hernandez of Amarillo; a sister, Cecilia Portchy of Omaha, Neb.; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Ms. May was born Feb. 9, 1906, in Briscoe County. She was a lifelong resident of Tulia. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Ina May May of Tulia and 244 descendants of her brothers and sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Glenda Johnson, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Richard Edwards, pastor of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Midland, assisting. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mrs. Davidson was born March 18, 1914, in Wise County. She moved to Hall County at the age of 5 and attended school there. She moved to Quitaque in 1946. She married Jim O. Davidson on Jan. 18, 1933, in Hall County. She worked for Green Thumb in Quitaque for 23 years and retired at the age of 85. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in October 1957. Survivors include a daughter, Lavada McCracken of Tulia; two sons, Jim Davidson and wife, Clara Ruth, of Quitaque and Fred Davidson of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Jo Beth Edwards, Ronnie McCracken, Jimmy Don Davidson, Jon Davidson, Bonnie Davidson and Steve Davidson; and 11 great-grandchildren, Chris Edwards, Kevin Edwards, Kimberly Edwards, Travis McCracken, Garrett McCracken, Jenna Davidson, Willie Davidson, Deidra Kneupper, Macy Davidson, Molly Davidson and Mary Kate Davidson. Mr. Nesbitt was born March 26, 1917, in Roosevelt, Okla. He was a retired supervisor in stock and blending for Phillips Petroleum Co. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, on July 12, 1996; a son, Byron, on April 4, 1999; six sisters; and four brothers. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Shirley Nesbitt of Amarillo and a grandchild, Kisaundra Harris of Canyon. Evans, 64, formerly of Amarillo, Texas, died Thursday, March 10, 2005. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Romero Funeral Home. Mr. Evans worked in the oil field most of his life, truck driving and hauling water and supplies to oil rigs. The last eight years of his career, he was a truck driver for Lake Steel and traveled over the states of Texas and New Mexico. Even though James worked many hours and was on the road a lot, he was a loving and devoted husband and father. He loved his family very much. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Alice Evans; a daughter, Barbara Evans in 1977; and a brother, Clarence. Survivors include his wife, Gloretta; his children, Betty Sue Griffey, Tammy Darlene Evans, Christopher Michael Evans and Melissa Dawn Trull, all of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a special daughter-in-law, Melissa Palmer of Perryton, Texas.
