Crain, 75, of Amarillo died Thursday, April 7, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Harvest Life Center with Jerry Veazey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Blackburn- Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Crain was born March 9, 1930, in Quitaque. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany from 1952 until 1954. He married his loving wife of 45 years, Juanita Decker, on Nov. 1, 1959, in Wichita Falls. He began his law enforcement career in Borger as a police officer. He was later named chief of police in Hale Center. In 1958, he went to work for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, serving in several districts around the state before settling in Amarillo as district supervisor of the agency. He belonged to Palo Duro Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was also a member of Scottish Rite of Lubbock. He worked with Boy Scouts of America in Hale Center and was also a coach for Kids, Inc. for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Les and Mavis Crain; and a brother, Willmer Crain. Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Crain of Georgia; a daughter, Paula Reams of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Collin Crain, Rafe Reams and Allegra Reams; a brother, Bill Crain and wife, Lillian, of Bokchito, Okla.; a sister, Retha Spoon of Borger; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends. Georgia St. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church with Monsignor Harold Waldow officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Lojewski married Lois Dorine Sowers on Dec. 29, 1945. He was one of the founding members of St. Hyacinth's parish council. He worked for custom printing. He was preceded in death by his wife on Oct. 9, 1997. Survivors include two sons, David Lojewski and wife, Cheryl, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Steve Lojewski and wife, Dana, of Lubbock; five grandchildren, Jenifer, Randy, Melissa, Michelle and Mark; and two great-granddaughters, Samantha and Katherine Lojewski. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Bob Schroeder, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Gamblin was born Dec. 2, 1926, to Monroe and Vannie Athey in Crowell. She enjoyed gardening, baseball, her grandchildren and collecting frogs. She was married to Cotton Gamblin for 58 years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Loyd; and a brother, Herman Athey. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Clarise Owens and husband, Charlie, and Denyce Crain and husband, Joe, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Charlie Owens, Leslie Reneau, Cory Reneau, Shelton Crain and Lacy Crain, all of Amarillo; and a sister, Martha Wiseman of Amarillo. Mrs. Sanders was born in Sayre, Okla., and moved to Amarillo as a small child. She was a registered nurse, having worked in several hospitals and nursing homes. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Swarm of Amarillo; a sister, Rita Satness of Independence, Mo.; a brother, Bill Cox of Independence; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Monday in Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Okla., with the Rev. Keith Millis officiating. Arrangements were by Amis-Kennard Funeral Service in Broken Arrow. Mr. Ward was born in Broken Arrow on June 26, 1915, to Frank Ward and Lottie Bittle Ward. He was married to Oma Seitz in 1946 in Broken Arrow. He worked as an engineer in the oil industry until his retirement in 1984. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of Akdar Shrine and Elks Club. He was preceded in death by his wife on March 30, 2004; his parents; a brother, Roger Ward; and two sisters, Juanita Cotton and Amyle Hiseley. Survivors include a brother, Frank Ward of Wagoner; two grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. Dr. Galvin was born Dec. 4, 1913, in Amarillo and was a 1930 graduate of Amarillo High School. She received a BA degree from West Texas State University, a master of fine arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley, and a Ph.D in art education from Penn State University. She was an art educator for the Amarillo Independent School District and was an art professor at West Texas State, retiring in 1978. She married Thomas C. Galvin on June 19, 1943, in Amarillo. She lived in Amarillo all her life before moving to Pampa in 1987. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Alpha Chi Honor Society, Pampa Retired Teachers Association and was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi. The family expresses special appreciation and thanks to Meredith House, Coronado Healthcare Center, Pampa Regional Medical Center, and Dr. Bhatia for their loving and high quality care during her lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981; two sisters; a niece; and a great-nephew. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Rhodes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mrs. Henderson was born Aug. 10, 1905, in Hill County, near Bloom, to John A. and Maude (Dishman) Simmons. They moved to Hedley in 1917. She married Frank M. Henderson on Feb. 17, 1924, in Clarendon. She moved to Castro County with her husband and three children in 1935. After her husband's death in 1957, she bought and operated Dimmitt Dry Cleaners for many years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Dimmitt. She had lived in Coldwater Manor in Stratford since April 1998. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; seven brothers, Vernon, Carl, Ralph, Clack, Othell, George and Ben; and a sister, Nettie Mae. Survivors include two daughters, Edna Earle Smith of Arlington and Lorraine Oetken of Burlington, Iowa; a son, John C. Henderson of Stratford; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Kyle of Albuquerque, N.M.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He graduated from Hart High School and was a member of National Guard Reserves and Elks Lodge. He had farmed and ranched in Hart and Olton. He was a vegetable processor. He married Barbara Roberts in 1989 in Salem, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Ozema Hill; a sister, Bonnie Futrell; and two brothers, Bob and Kenny Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Toy Jones of Amarillo.
