Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Mrs. Green was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Elk City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Green; a daughter; a son; and two grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Margie Shreck and Linda Horner; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. "Don" Lewis, 88, of Amarillo died Wednesday, April 13, 2005. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Trinity Fellowship Church with Jimmy Evans, pastor, officiating. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery East by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Lewis attended Amarillo High School and went on to graduate from Texas Tech University in 1941. He married Betty McLarty of Lubbock on July 3, 1942. He served in the Navy as an executive officer of an LST. He made 22 crossings of the English Channel during the Normandy Invasion of World War II. Mr. Lewis worked in hospital administration in Lubbock and Seminole from 1945 to 1967. Upon moving to Amarillo, he owned and operated Sirloin Steak House until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Lewis was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Camille Curry Price in 1998. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Donna Curry and husband, Dr. John Curry, of Amarillo and Katy Kennedy of Denver; a son, Jim Lewis and wife, Megan, of Amarillo; a sister, Merle Frye and husband, Ed, of Phoenix; eight grandchildren, Heather Curry Payne, Joshua Curry, Evan Curry, Kelsey Kennedy, Jamey Lewis, John David Lewis, Lindsay Lewis and Kaitlyn Lewis; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Washburn of Fellowship Baptist Church of Clarendon officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Blake was born Sept. 17, 1981, in Pampa to William Earl and Lyllian Dee'An Blake. He attended school in Stratford, where he lived most of his life. Survivors include his parents; a sister, Stephanie Blake of Stratford; a brother, Richard Rogers of Addis; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Riehl and Lela Allen, all of Amarillo, and Bertha Blake of Dalhart; and his special friends, Kandie and Alex Galla of Stratford. Mrs. Mills was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Randlett, Okla. She married Leslie Mills in Walters, Okla., on Oct. 28, 1938. Survivors include two sons, Marlin Mills of Lubbock and Jody Mills of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, April 16, 2005 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betty Frantz HARTLEY - Betty Frantz, 77, died Thursday, April 14, 2005, in Dumas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hartley Christian Fellowship Church with John Will Bookout officiating. Burial will be in Hartley Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart. Mrs. Frantz was born March 12, 1928, in Pratt, Kan., to Burl and Verna (Young) Rohr. They moved to Dalhart in 1937. Betty attended schools in Dalhart and worked for Mission and LaRita theatres as well as Dalhart Coca Cola Company and Boog's Steak House. On Aug. 31, 1947, she married John R. Frantz. They made their home in Hartley where Betty worked at Farmers Supply Co-Op, was a member of the Methodist Church, Hartley Study Club, and Hartley basketball team's chaperone for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three sisters. Survivors include a son, John Frantz II and wife, Sherry, of Hartley; a grandson, Trey Frantz and wife, Stephanie, of Hartley; a granddaughter, Farrah Thompson and husband, Mike, of Hartley; two great-grandsons, Max Frantz and Zane Thompson; and a sister, Eileen Neal of Albuquerque, N.M. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Monday (CDT) in New Light Baptist Church in Lubbock. Mr. Russell was born Dec. 9, 1952, in Tucumcari to Glenn "Buzzy" and Dora L. (Payne) Russell. He graduated from Clayton High School in 1971. He lived in Las Vegas for 12 years, moving to Lubbock in 1987, where he continued his career in construction as a building contractor.
