Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Billy Kersh officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family will be at 4021 Pinehurst St. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Virginia Thomas Virginia Thomas, 79, of Amarillo died Thursday, April 28, 2005. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Thomas was born March 24, 1926, in Ashtola to Omer Carper and Ruth Norvel Carper. She was a people person who never met a stranger. Her favorite people were her great-grandchildren and her favorite pastime was fishing. Survivors include a daughter, Pat Scott and husband, Don, of Hereford; two sons, Robert Massey of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Garland Massey of Seattle; a brother, Junior Carper of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Evangelina Chacon DIMMITT - Evangelina Chacon, 70, died Friday, April 29, 2005. Vigil will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Guadalupe Mayorga officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Chacon was born Nov. 16, 1934, in Mexico. She married Leopoldo Medrano in 1955 in Mexico. Survivors include her husband; eight daughters, Elva Medrano of Mexico, Hilda Sanchez and Olaya Medrano, both of Dimmitt, and Dolores Garcia, Lilia Alvarez, Ana Albarran, Elsa Anaya and Socorro Rodriqiez, all of Amarillo; three sons, Florentino Medrano, Leopoldo Medrano Jr. and Benjamin Medrano, all of Dimmitt; two sisters, Andrea Machado of Amarillo and Adela Lujan of Mexico; 28 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Doyle Hindman McLEAN - Doyle Hindman, 76, died Thursday, April 28, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Trinity Church with Larry Perkins, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Bailey-Ware Funeral Home. Mr. Hindman was in the Army for five years during the Korean War. He was a good Christian man who loved his family. Survivors include his wife, Wanda; two daughters, Shirley Mahorney of Nashville, Tenn., and Brenda Jasper of McLean; a brother, Joe Hindman of Henderson, Ky.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice in Pampa. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Allene "Nennie" Lewis BORGER - Allene "Nennie" Lewis, 84, died Thursday, April 28, 2005. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Friday in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in St. John's Catholic Church with Monsignor Norbert Kuehler officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Lewis was born May 21, 1920, in Panhandle. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Joe Lewis of Midland; four daughters, Tish Pullen of Amarillo, Kathy Flue of Georgetown, Ann French of Keller and Linda Freese of Pullman, Wash.; two sisters, Opal Eagle of Panhandle and Wanda Armstrong of Wichita, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society District 15, Attn: Memorials, 3915 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kent "Buddy" Rasberry CHILDRESS - Kent "Buddy" Rasberry, 70, died Thursday, April 28, 2005. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Todd W. Rasberry officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Rasberry was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Turkey. He was member of First United Methodist and Fellowship Sunday school class. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Denise Kaye and Jeannie Adams, both of Amarillo; a son, Todd Rasberry of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ingrid Wright DUMAS - Ingrid Wright, 67, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005. Services will be at 5 p.m. today in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with Joe Schwertner, deacon at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, Calif. Mrs. Wright was born April 13, 1938, in Trier, Germany. She was a homemaker.
