Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rusty Dickerson, senior minister, officiating. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Ritter, the youngest of six children born to Glennis and Elmer Williams of Duncan, Okla., was born April 13, 1931. She loved a good game of bridge, her kids, grandchildren, great-grandchild and her dog, Precious. She married Keith Ritter on July 3, 1955. Mrs. Ritter was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, a member of the New Image Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women. Survivors include her husband; five children, Mark Ritter of Austin, Steve Ritter and wife, Patty, Karen and Don Craghead and Cary Ritter and wife, Robbie, all of Amarillo, and Susan Brickey and husband, Mike, of St. Joseph, Mo.; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Mildred Ross of Porterville, Calif. The family suggests memorials be to St. Paul United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, Epilepsy Association or to a favorite charity. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hays D. Wakefield Hays D. Wakefield, 75, of Amarillo died Saturday, May 14, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in South Georgia Baptist Church with Sherman Eastland officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Wakefield was born in Plaska and was a lifelong resident of Amarillo. He attended Amarillo High School. He married Jackie Eastland on March 6, 1964, in Amarillo. He went to work for Santa Fe Railway when he was 15 years old and retired as a railway supervisor-agent in 1987. After retirement, he became involved in woodworking. He owned and operated a store in Western Plaza as well as Lizzie's Heart Things in Fritch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Cash Wakefield and Jewel Hays Wakefield; a brother, Wayne Wakefield; and a nephew, Quain Palmer. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rock Wakefield and Derek Wakefield, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Raydell Palmer and Darlene Chesshir, both of Amarillo; a brother, Deral Wakefield of Denton; five grandchildren, Chad, Quincy, Khaki, Tennessee and Lizzie; and a great-grandson, Cash. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with Sister Mary Morrissey of Odyssey Health Care officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Davis was born May 28, 1940, in Big Spring. He had lived in Amarillo for 10 years and worked in the maintenance department at Hobby Lobby. Survivors include his friend, Jonell W. Brissaud of Amarillo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Winnie Burrell Jackson Winnie Burrell Jackson, 79, of Amarillo died Sunday, May 15, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Briarwood Full Gospel Church in Pampa with the Rev. Gene Allen, retired Full Gospel minister, and the Rev. Lynn Hancock, Briarwood Full Gospel minister, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Jackson was born May 26, 1925, in White Deer. She married Wayne Hughlett in 1952. He died in 1974. She married Ralph Jackson in 1979 in Pampa. She lived in Pampa from 1967 until moving to Amarillo in 2003. She was a member of Briarwood Full Gospel Church and was active with the Khiva Shrine for many years. She was a friend of every person she met. She was preceded in death by 21 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband, Ralph; a daughter, Lawaine Soukup and husband, Mike, of Pampa; a stepdaughter, Brenda Butler and husband, J.W., of Borger; two sons, James Coleman and wife, Bonnie, of Wichita Falls and Gary Coleman and wife, Faye, of Amarillo; two sisters, Viola Smith of Duncan, Okla., and Patricia Montgomery of Payson, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; and 22 nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Kelton Cemetery in Kelton. Mr. Blevins was born Sept. 20, 1974, in Canadian. He was a truck driver and worked for the City of Canadian. Survivors include his parents, Carroll and Clara Blevins of Canadian; a brother, Ron Blevins of Canadian; and a sister, Carol Lane of Amarillo. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Flowers was born Sept. 28, 1933, in Perryton. He was a farmer and rancher. Survivors include four sons, David Flowers of Amarillo, Quintin Flowers of Maysville, Okla., Louis Flowers Jr. of Weatherford, Okla., and Darrin Flowers of Perryton; four daughters, Ginger Buehler of Austin, Sherri Bustillos and Kayleen Adkison, both of Perryton, and Pam Flowers of Fort Worth; two brothers, Lyndon Flowers of Montrose, Colo., and Donald Flowers of Mills, N.M.; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Scott Alan Bobbitt, 38, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Angel Fire. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Clarendon Church of Christ in Clarendon, Texas, with Bright Newhouse, Church of Christ minister from Clarendon, officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Tech. Sgt. Bobbitt died Wednesday, May 11, at Angel Fire in an Air Force H-60 Pave Hawk helicopter crash. Scott was born Oct. 18, 1966, in Memphis, Texas, and grew up there. He married Kathy Lynn Gildner on Oct. 6, 1994, in Okinawa, Japan. He was a member of Memphis Church of Christ. He was assigned to the 58th Special Operations Wing at Kirtland AFB in New Mexico and throughout his 20-year Air Force career had served in many capacities and in many friendly and hostile theaters. Those he served with commended him in various news articles for his knowledge, dedication and abilities. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hardy and Nadine Bobbitt and Gordon Mann. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tyler Bobbitt and Travis Bobbitt, both of Albuquerque; his parents, Emmett and Shirley Bobbitt of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Lisa Raney and husband, Chris, of Lubbock; his grandmother, Irene Mann of Lubbock; his in-laws, Arthur and Dianne Kent of Michigan; and nieces and nephews, Drake Kent of Michigan and Kaytlin Raney, Maggie Raney and Reagan Raney all of Lubbock.
