Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Sunday in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the church with Monsignor Joseph Tash of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Dr. Mager was born June 28, 1931. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1951 and served in the Korean War. Dr. Mager married Shirley Marie Weinman on April 23, 1955, in Denver. He attended Grandhor Medical School in St. Louis. He came back to Amarillo and worked at St. Anthony's Hospital as a lab technician. He graduated from California Podiatry College and practiced for 33 years in Amarillo. Dr. Mager was a member of Knights of Columbus and the Sarra Club. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Missy Moore and husband, Tim, Diane Lee and husband, Danny, Dee Dee Tiffany and husband, Paul, and Bobbie Bodey and husband, John Michael, all of Amarillo, and Michelle Lamberson and husband, Richard, of Highland Ranch, Colo.; a son, Steve Mager of Amarillo; a brother, George Mager of Amarillo; two sisters-in-law, Mary Mager and Roberta Mager, both of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren, Shawn, Brandon, Veronica, Candace, Cara, Kristen, Alex, Jordan, Madison, Brent, Nicole, Caleb, Taylor, Ben and Meagan; and two great-grandchildren, Garrison and Foster. Box 950 Amarillo, TX 79176-0001. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canyon Iva Ellen Wallen Priddy Iva Ellen Wallen Priddy, 96, of Canyon died Thursday, May 19, 2005, in Prattville, Ala. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Dreamland Cemetery with Dr. Gerry Lewis and Chuck Yates officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mrs. Priddy was born Jan. 12, 1909, on the King Ranch near Itan to Robert and Ada Wallen. Being the daughter of an early ranch veterinarian, she, along with her four younger siblings, crossed the Texas Panhandle four times in a covered wagon and grew up on ranches in Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas and Oklahoma. She met Benjamin Franklin Priddy, her husband of 60 years, in Headrick, Okla., and they married on Aug. 19, 1926. They raised their family in that rural community, where she frequently used her God-given talents to serve as the local midwife, nurse and barber. They moved to Canyon in 1948 and were engaged in dairy farming and ranching. She accepted the Lord at an early age and was a wonderful Christian role model for family and friends. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Canyon. She was devoted to her family and was deeply loved by them. She had been living with her daughter in Prattville for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986; her parents; three brothers, J.C., Ted and Claude Wallen; a sister, Odessa Kline; and a grandson, Robin Priddy. Survivors include two sons, Jack Priddy and Bob Priddy and wife, Geneva, all of Valley de Oro; two daughters, Shirley Johnson and husband, George, of Amarillo and Patsy Yates and husband, Chuck, of Prattville; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to the Cohen Ezelle Missionary Expense Fund, in care of Crestway Baptist Church, 6400 Crestway Blvd., Birmingham, AL 35312 or a favorite charity. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Pedro "Pete" Garcia Jr. DIMMITT - Pedro "Pete" Garcia Jr., 51, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005. Prayer vigil will be at 6 p.m. today in Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home Ivey Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Guadalupe Mayorga of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens. Mr. Garcia was an auto repairman and had lived in Dimmitt since before 1995. Survivors include four sons, Christopher Garcia, Gavino Garcia, Pedro Garcia III and Jessie Luna; and a sister, Juana Ramirez of McKinney. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kenneth Hamon WHEELER - Kenneth Hamon, 76, died Thursday, May 19, 2005, in Pampa. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ricky Carstensen, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Zybach Cemetery in Briscoe by Wright Funeral Home. Mr. Hamon was born March 6, 1929, to Earl and Mable Hamon in Reydon, Okla. Mr. Hamon married Bonita Parker on Aug. 23, 1947, at Allison. He and his wife have lived in Wheeler since 1970. Mr. Hamon had worked as custodian and bus driver for the Wheeler School District for 25 years before retiring. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Allison. He was a member of Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 996 AF & AM. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; a grandchild; and a great- grandchild. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth Ray Hamon II of Pampa; a daughter, Alana Daughtry of Wheeler; four sisters, Earlene Davis of Pampa, Wanda Parker of Phoenix, Bessie Ritcher of Lyons, Ore., and Juanita Ritcher of Bend, Ore.; three brothers, Oscar Hamon of Cheyenne, Okla., Claudie Hamon of Galt, Calif., and Glen Hamon of Hobbs, N.M.; three grandsons, Kenneth James Daughtry, Eric Daughtry and Matthew Hamon; and seven great-grandchildren. "Bill" Moss MATADOR - N.L. "Bill" Moss, 81, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, in Lubbock. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rickey Lawrence officiating. Family graveside rites will be held earlier in East Mound Cemetery. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home. Mr. Moss was born May 31, 1923, in Foss, Okla. His family moved to Whiteface in 1930. He graduated from Whiteface High School in 1939 and received his bachelor's degree from Texas Tech in 1943. He served in the Army from 1943 through 1946 and received a master's degree from Tech in 1947. He began his teaching career as a vocational agriculture teacher in 1947 at Matador and retired after 38 years in 1985. He was married to the former June Pope in 1948. He was a member of the Methodist church, Matador Masonic Lodge and Matador Lions Club. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joe Dick Moss and wife, Terry, of Janesville, Wis., and Glen Moss and wife, Myra, of Matador; a brother, John Moss and wife, Debbie, of Yorktown, Va.; an aunt; a niece; a nephew; and several cousins. The family suggests memorials be to the Motley County Library, Motley County Senior Citizens, Matador Methodist Church or a favorite charity. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Narvetta Robertson ALLISON - Narvetta Robertson, 71, formerly of Dalhart, died Thursday, May 19, 2005. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Horizon Funeral Home Chapel in Dalhart with M.C. McDaniel of Allison United Pentecostal Church and Bob McAlister, pastor of Channing Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart. Mrs. Robertson was born in a log cabin in Okfuskee, Okla., to K.E. and Ethel May Bell Long Morse. She married Bobby Joe Robertson. Survivors include two brothers, Jake R. Morse of Midland and Roland K. Morse of Amarillo.
