Todd Watson Cooper Lois E. Todd Watson Cooper, 82, of Amarillo died Wednesday, May 25, 2005. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Dale Bigham, pastor of Arden Road Baptist Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum East. Mrs. Cooper was born in Tulia on Nov. 30, 1922, to William Bryant Todd and Myrtle C. Bryant. She married Haden Watson in 1938 at Hollis, Okla. He preceded her in death. She then married Clinton Cooper in 1983 at Dallas. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Krisiti Nell Watson Brown. Survivors include a son, M. Todd Watson and wife, Christine, of San Diego; four grandchildren, Deborah Slate, Elaine Summerville, Evan Watson and Elyse Watson; four great-grandchildren, Kelila Slate, Michael Slate, Krisita Leucedke and Andrew Leucedke; a great-great-grandson, Brendon Slate; a stepdaughter, Terri Crawford and husband, Jimmy, of Royse City; grandchildren Clint, Darin and Lori Crawford; and a great-grandson Sabastian Crawford. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. Bill Wade officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Hufhines was born Aug. 4, 1917, to Oscar and Gladys Gragg of Nara Visa, N.M. She was employed for 20 years at Stubblefield's Drapery Store in Amarillo, and she retired after managing the Amarillo Uniform Center for several years. She was an active member of Buchanan Street United Methodist Church and of the River Road Senior Citizen's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Frederick Hufhines in 1967; her parents; a sister, Dorothy Edlin; and a brother, Oscar Jr. Survivors include a sister, Celia Reed of DeSoto; a daughter, Gladys Jacobs and husband, Jesse, of Tolleson, Ariz.; two sons, Garry and wife, Yuvonne, of Dimmitt and Ray and wife, Lewan, of Springdale, Ark.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with Russell Harris, pastor of Garland Street Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home of Canyon. Mrs. Dry was born April 16, 1919, in Paris to Henry Clay McDowell and Audrey Ellen Carlisle. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include three sons, Curt Dry of Oklahoma City, Kenneth Dry of Amarillo and Jerry L. Dry of Austin; three daughters, Marie Clark of Littlefield and Marcella Brown and Letha Johnson, both of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert E. Garner Robert E. Garner, 67, of Amarillo died Wednesday, May 25, 2005. Graveside services were held Saturday in Sharp Cemetery in Rockdale. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church in Amarillo with Dr. Jim Bankhead and Max Brown officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Garner was born Dec. 2, 1937, in Milam County. A graduate of Sharp High School, Garner received his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University and his law degree from Baylor University School of Law. His 45-year law practice began in Lubbock, and in 1977, he moved to Amarillo. He was a partner of Whittenburg, Whittenburg, Garner & Stein at the time of his death. Garner was certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and certified in civil trial and personal injury law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In December 2003, he was honored by the Panhandle Trial Lawyers Association as its first recipient of the Temple Houston Award in recognition of his skills and successes as a trial lawyer. During his career, Bob Garner represented people of all walks of life and various businesses. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Walden Garner; his children, Synde Garner and Ronald Matschek, Robert Kyle Garner and Jennifer Garner and Tim Nicholson, all of Amarillo, and Jan Garner Tankersley of Lubbock; eight grandchildren, Carter, Kelsey, Camron and Casen Matschek, Avrey and Allye Tankersley and Dolan and Margaret Nicholson; and five sisters, Mildred Holcomb and Martha Garth and husband, Don, all of Lubbock, Bonnie Dark and husband, Clayton, of Lufkin, Helen Abel and husband, Henry, of Buckholtz and Beverly Key and husband, Norman, of Austin. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Fields was born Oct. 14, 1932, to Jim Lacy Fields and Bessie Anderson Fields in Bryan County, Okla. He married Shirley Jones Mitchell, and she preceded him in death. He was a longtime resident of Amarillo and moved to Jasper after retiring from the city of Amarillo after 37 years. He was a veteran and had served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He moved back to Amarillo 2 years ago. Survivors include two sons, Rickey Fields and Bobby Fields, both of Amarillo; a brother, Don D. Fields of Corpus Christi; and a niece, Teresa Bass of Amarillo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Janet Marie Litchford Janet Marie Litchford, 59, of Amarillo died Saturday, May 28, 2005. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Litchford was born Aug. 26, 1945, in Chicago. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Tiffany Litchford and Tammy Litchford, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Pam Arnett of Amarillo and Barb Anderson of McHenry, Ill.; and two brothers, Clifford Morris Jr. of St. Louis and Jim Morris of Oklahoma City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Winfred Walker, retired minister of Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray. Mr. Cleveland was born Oct. 25, 1912, in Kirkland, Hardeman County to George Leland Cleveland and Myrtle Watkins Cleveland. He had been a Moore County resident since 1945. He graduated from Clayton, N.M., High School in 1932. He married Imogene Chandler on April 26, 1936, in Hollis, Okla. He worked for Phillips Petroleum for many years until his retirement on Dec. 1, 1973. He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, John Alfred; his parents; five brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include a son, Preston Cleveland and wife, Carrietta, of Granbury; two daughters, Earlene Cleveland of Borger and Judy Rice and husband, Eddie, of Sunray; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She married Benjamin Alexander Hassler on Feb. 24, 1937, in Purcell, Okla. Survivors include three daughters, Bertha Porter, Carol Rovner and Judy Hassler, all of Skellytown; four sons, Jim Hassler of Amarillo, Tom Hassler and Alex Hassler, both of Skellytown, and John Hassler of Garland; two sisters, Grace Tannihill of Lindsay, Okla., and Dorothy Hicks of Reedley, Calif.; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Tiffin was born in Indian Gap on July 7, 1924, to Otto and Ida Spieaker. She married Joe Henry Tiffin on Jan. 24, 1946. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Joe Paul "J.P." Mrs. Mongold was born July 21, 1925, in the Oslo Community in Hansford County, Texas. She was a homemaker and attended Oslo Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons, James T. Mongold Jr. of Liberal, Kan., and Leland D. Mongold of Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Oletha Padilla of California; and two brothers, Harold Hill and Arthur Hill, both of Guymon.
