Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Carathers officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Adams was born April 24, 1985, in La Junta, Colo., to Cliff and Rebecca Adams. He graduated from Stratford High School in 2003 and attended Universal Technical Institute in Houston. He was employed by Gene Messer Ford. He loved life and was a friend to everybody. He was a Catholic. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ashley; a nephew, Tyler; and his grandmother, Anna Adams. Survivors include his parents of Amarillo; a sister, Lori Page and husband, Clint, of Waxahachie; his twin sister, Alicia Adams of Amarillo; three brothers, J.R. Adams and wife, Kim, of Burleson, Andy Adams of Amarillo and Rob Adams of Fort Worth; his grandparents, Hank and Francie Scheffe of Amarillo and Dean Adams of Umbarger; a nephew, Austin Adams; a niece, Ashlyn Adams; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Main St., Stratford, TX 79084. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Mervin Wayne Evans PLAINVIEW - Mervin Wayne Evans, 62, died Sunday, May 29, 2005. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church sanctuary with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mr. Evans was born Oct. 4, 1942, in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1960. He married Judy Ray James on Oct. 27, 1962, in Plainview. The Evans moved to Tulia, where they farmed until 1970. They then moved to Two Buttes, Colo., and farmed until 1976. They moved back to Plainview and farmed and became co-owners of Five Star Auctioneers. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cheryl Lee and husband, Greg, of Lubbock; and a son, Kirk Evans and wife, Carol, of Lubbock. Mervin's greatest joy of all came as he played "Pop" for his four grandchildren, Trevor Lee, Parker Lee, Courtney Evans and Zachary Evans, all of Lubbock. Green, 94, died Sunday, May 29, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church Chapel with Dr. Lewis Holland and Dr. Max Browning officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Green was born Dec. 17, 1910, in Dallas to Tom and Sallie Killough Green. He married Juanita Jo Beasley on Dec. 24, 1938, in Lamesa. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Barbara Alene Franklin of Austin; two sons, Kent Green of Plainview and Jim Bob Green of West Bridge, Va.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Harper was born March 7, 1964, in Amarillo and had lived in Clarendon for the past six years. He was a painter. Survivors include his mother, Ruby Harper of Clarendon; his wife, Deborah Moore; four daughters, Amber Curry of Amarillo, Aron Deatherage of Clarendon, Jennifer McVey of Overland Park, Kan., and Junae Judson of Spokane, Wash.; a brother, Clark Faless of Amarillo; two sisters, Kyra Weaver of Lubbock and Sheila Byrd of Graham; and four grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Teresa Otis PERRYTON - Teresa Otis, 61, died Sunday, May 29, 2005. Mrs. Otis was born Nov. 22, 1943, in Talihina, Okla. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include three daughters, Alicia Kelly of Weatherford, Okla., Anita Saville of Liberal, Kan., and Tammy Gray of Amarillo; three sons, Chris Gray of Liberal, Cody Otis of Perryton and Dustin McBrayer of Idabel, Okla.; five sisters, Christine Penitoni and Sue Helms, both of Idabel, Leah Wagstaff of Eagletown, Okla., Wanda Francis of Wheeler and Kaye Snyder of Broken Bow, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pleming CHILDRESS - W.J. Pleming, 85, died Sunday, May 29, 2005, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Childress Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Robertson officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Pleming married Doris Gregory on Oct. 21, 1949, in Childress. He was an Army veteran of World War II, where he received the Purple Heart. Survivors include three sons, Jeff Pleming of Childress and John Pleming and Jim Pleming, both of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Mexico Mildred E. DeShane-Littell TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Mildred E. DeShane-Littell, 86, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, in Amarillo, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in McAlister Cemetery in McAlister. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. DeShane-Littell was born June 28, 1918, in Franklin, Ky. She moved to New Mexico to the McAlister area with her family as a child. She attended and graduated from McAlister School system in 1938. She lived all of her adult life in Tucumcari, working as a waitress. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Chronic of Amarillo; a son, W.B. DeShane of Dumas, Texas; two nieces, Karen Stokes of Edgewood and Venita Webb of Beaumont, Texas; and three nephews, Mickey Mitchell of Sacramento, Calif., and Elvis Webb and Donnie Webb, both of McAlister. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Max Bradley Snodgrass ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Max Bradley Snodgrass, 88, died Saturday, May 28, 2005. Graveside memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements are by French Mortuary. Mr. Snodgrass was born April 19, 1917, in Clarinda, Iowa. He was a graduate of TCU and a pilot for Braniff Airlines for 37 years. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Tidmore of Albuquerque and Linda Hill of Big Sandy, Texas; a son, Mark Snodgrass of Edmond, Okla.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Francis Brown of Waxahachie, Texas. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oklahoma Gwendolyn "Gwen" Goff GUYMON, OKLA. - Gwendolyn "Gwen" Goff, 83, died Saturday, May 28, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Burkett, pastor of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Mrs. Goff was born Aug. 1, 1921, in Decoma. She was a member of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church.
