Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Lynn Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Pannell was born Oct. 13, 1915, in Bellevue. The former Jane Robinson married Floyd Zack Pannell in Plainview on April 13, 1934. The couple met while Floyd was a student at Wayland Baptist College and Jane was a student at Plainview High School. Jane worked in the secretarial field and also served as pianist in area churches and schools. She spent several retirement years in Bella Vista, Ark., before moving to Amarillo in 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Loana Ann Webb and Dell Milam, both of Amarillo, and Helen Messler and husband, Pete, of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Zack E. Pannell and wife, Nancy, of Denton; eight grandchildren; and 12 great- grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canyon Darrell Dean Wylie Darrell Dean Wylie, 72, of Canyon died Thursday, June 2, 2005, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Canyon with the Rev. Gene Jones, associate pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Garfield Cemetery in Garfield, Kan. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Wylie was born Aug. 18, 1932, in Garfield to Nealan and Mable Foss Wylie. He graduated from McPhearson High School in McPhearson, Kan., and served in the Marines from 1950 to 1954 during the Korean conflict. He married Mary Bowling in Amarillo in 1976, and they lived in Denver until 1997, when they moved to Canyon. He was in the transportation industry for 45 years and for the last 15 years worked for Midcoe Transportation. He was a member of First Baptist Church, American Legion and ELKS and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Justin Crafton and Daniel Joe Taylor in 1998. Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Bowling and wife, Mary, of Canyon, John Bowling of Amarillo and Dudley Bowling and wife, Ronda, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; two daughters, Delinda Manning and husband, Kenneth, of Abilene and Cindy Whitfield of Amarillo; a sister, Patricia Colvin and husband, Bradley, of St. Charles, Mo.; a brother, Bob Wylie of New York; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clyde David Henry Clyde David Henry, 94, of Canyon died Thursday, June 2, 2005. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Gayle Bowen officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery in Muleshoe. Mr. Henry was born in Sequatchie Valley, Tenn., on Sept. 22, 1910. He married Nellie Mae Bostick in Purcell, Okla., on Nov. 14, 1929. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Edith Goss of Austin; three sons, Johnny "J.R." Henry and Gene Henry, both of Canyon, and Kenneth Henry of Muleshoe; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elsewhere Mrs. Elbert "Winnie" Hedrick UVALDE - Mrs. Elbert "Winnie" Hedrick, 101, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, in Del Rio. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey with Marlin Felts officiating. Arrangements are by Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis. Mrs. Hedrick was born March 26, 1904, in Crowder, Okla., to the late John Thompson Findley and Sophia Marie Staas Findley. She grew up in Gasoline and Turkey and graduated from Turkey High School in 1919. She married Elbert P. Hedrick on Dec. 26, 1925, in Turkey. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1982. Mrs. Hedrick moved to Wilcox, Ariz., in 1956, and to Fredericksburg in 1971. She later moved to Uvalde in 1978. She was a homemaker and enjoyed participating in the Bridge Club in Turkey. Mrs. Hedrick was involved in the PTA and other school activities. She was a member of Church of Christ in Turkey. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Bley of Del Rio and Joyce Mendenhall of Alamogordo, N.M.; a son, Frank Hedrick of Estelline; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
