Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Southlawn Baptist Church with Greg Kinch officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and a longtime member of Southlawn Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Bennie Anderson of Amarillo and Jimmy Anderson of Phoenix; a daughter, Betty Burch of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Opal Morrison of Amarillo and Lorena Harris of Balko, Okla.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ruby "Pattie" Creech Ruby "Pattie" Creech, 67, of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 15, 2005. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today in Oakdale Grace Fellowship Church with the Rev. Chuck Garrison officiating. Cremation is by Memory Gardens Crematory. Mrs. Creech was born March 25, 1937, in Childress County, moving to Amarillo 50 years ago. She worked as a waitress. Survivors include a daughter, Penny Ferrell of Amarillo; a son, Cecil French of Amarillo; and two grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert Ray Pittman Robert Ray Pittman, 81, of Amarillo died Friday, June 17, 2005, near Clarendon. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church in Clarendon with the Rev. Bryan Knowles, pastor of Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon, and Chad Horton, chaplain of Bivins Memorial Nursing Home in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mr. Pittman was born Feb. 27, 1924, in Chicota to Alvin and Alice McEwin Pittman. He moved with his family to Donley County in 1925. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946. He married LaRue Shadle on June 30, 1946, in Clarendon. Mr. Pittman retired from ASARCO in 1975 after working there for 29 years. After his retirement, he developed Tascosa Acres and Chaparral Acres in Amarillo. He then returned to farming and ranching in Donley County and continued until his death. He loved to work with livestock and raised champion quarter horses. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his father in 1971; his mother in 1991; a brother, Allen Pittman in 1999; and a sister, Ina Fay Phillips in 2001. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Billy Mac Pittman and wife, Ruth, of Amarillo; two sisters, Jewell Wood of Green Valley, Ariz., and Christine Bain of Amarillo; two nephews; and seven nieces. Stevens Kenneth "Ken" R. Stevens, 81, of Amarillo died Friday, June 17, 2005. Prayer services will be at 6 p.m. today in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Georgia St. Mr. Stevens was born in Cincinnati. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, where he received three Presidential Unit Citations. He retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a supervisor of meat grading before owning and operating Meatland with his family for 20 years. He was married to his wife, Betty, for 58 years. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and its Men's Club and served on the church board. He was former commander of the American Legion and a member of VFW. Mr. Stevens was a director for Catholic Family Service and was a board member for Children's Rehab. He was involved in St. Anthony's Hospital Auxiliary and was a member of the Serra Club. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Pat Summers and husband, Mike, and Michelle Smith and husband, Derek, all of Amarillo; two sons, Dan Stevens and wife, Linda, of Cincinnati and Ken "Whitey" Stevens and wife, Ruby, of Fort Worth; a sister, Dorothy Fobiano of Cincinnati; two brothers, Milton Stevens of Cincinnati and Bill Stevens of Santa Anna, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Celebration of Mr. Davidson's going to be with the Lord will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church of Gruver with the Rev. Scott Curry, pastor, and the Rev. Clinton Watson, Fred's college roommate of Mineral Wells, officiating. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla. Mr. Davidson was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Wilmeth to William Frederick Davidson Sr. and Ellie Pearl Williams Davidson. He graduated from Post High School and Hardin-Simmons University. Fred served our great country in the Army while being stationed in Germany from 1953 to 1955. Fred and Georgia Johnson were married July 12, 1958, in Texhoma, Okla. Their first years of marriage were spent in Plainview, where two daughters were born. After residing in Childress and Amarillo, they made their home in the Gruver area since 1970. Fred worked as an accountant for many years before retiring in 1996 from JMJ Land Company in Gruver. Fred enjoyed many things - following the activities of his grandchildren, working in his garden and meeting for afternoon "conferences" at the Dairy Queen. Of major importance for Fred was service to the Lord through his church. He served in many capacities at First Baptist Church in Gruver as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, church treasurer and member of the building and grounds committee. The last seven years found Fred and Georgia actively serving the Top of Texas Area as Mission Service Corps Consultants, the volunteer arm of Southern Baptists. Family, friends and employers will always remember Fred as a man of great character - loyal, honest and just. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law, Lowell "Squidge" Johnson. Survivors include his wife; three daughters Misha Moore and husband, Gordon, of Goodwell, Okla., Melinda Cline and husband, Mike, of Liberal, Kan., and Jolene Ortega and husband, Junior, of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Adam Cline of Leola, S.D., David Moore of Goodwell, Courtney Moore of Stephenville, Caleb Cline and fiance, Mariah Catlett, of Liberal and Aleksa Solis of Amarillo; a sister, Ann Davidson of Canyon; a brother, Mason Davidson and wife, Madge, of Abilene; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Johnson of Texhoma. Smith, 82, of Canyon died Sunday, June 19, 2005. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Smith was born in Kress on May 23, 1923, to Carl W. and Ruth Smith. He was the eighth child in a family of 10. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1942 and served until 1945. He worked as an airplane mechanic at McDonnell Air Craft in St. Louis. He moved to Abilene, and then in 1966, he moved to Hereford. He worked for J.C. Penney in Hereford from 1966 to 1978, when he opened the Early Bird Car Repair Shop. He retired in 1995 and moved to Canyon in 1996. He was married to Pat Smith for 47 years. He was a member of University Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Jack Smith of Hale Center, Carl J. Smith of Canyon and Bennie Smith of Lubbock; and a sister, Dot Leavett of Vega. The family suggests memorials be to the High Plains Children's Home, P.O. Mr. Fenton was born Jan. 21, 1960, in Guymon to Rita Readnour Fenton and Ralph F. Fenton. He was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include two children, Tamara Lynn Fenton and Jeremy Paul Fenton, both of Guymon; his parents of Guymon; a brother, Craig Allen Fenton of Guymon; a sister, Dr. Sheila Fenton Stanek of Stillwater; and a granddaughter.
