Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Marvin James officiating. Private burial will be in Claude Cemetery. Mrs. Garrison departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday afternoon. She was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Claude to Samuel and Anna Jo DeHart. Billy graduated from West Texas State Teachers College with a bachelor of science degree in 1946. She was a dedicated teacher for 23 years. She taught at Crockett Junior High, Amarillo Junior College, Gruver High School and Caprock High School. Billy was a member of Zeta Chapter of Kappa Omicron Phi, Retired Teachers Association, and Retired Texas State Teachers Association. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Arthur DeHart and Frank DeHart; and a son, Steve Garrison. Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Bradshaw and husband, Bill, of Amarillo; two sons, Johnny Garrison of Amarillo and Mike Garrison and wife, Alma, of Forney; four grandchildren, Stacy Dixon and husband, Darrell, of Boerne, Marc Garrison and wife, Tina, of Sweeney, Matthew Garrison of Oklahoma City and Mitchell Garrison of Tulsa, Okla.; and five great-grandchildren, Kylee, Tucker and Quaid Dixon and Grant and Cody Garrison. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert Ray Pittman Robert Ray Pittman, 81, of Amarillo died Friday, June 17, 2005, near Clarendon. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church in Clarendon with the Rev. James Ivy Edwards, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Colorado City, and Chad Horton, chaplain of Bivins Memorial Nursing Home in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mr. Pittman was born Feb. 27, 1924, in Chicota to Alvin and Alice McEwin Pittman. He moved with his family to Donley County in 1925. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946. He married LaRue Shadle on June 30, 1946, in Clarendon. Mr. Pittman retired from ASARCO in 1975 after working there for 29 years. After his retirement, he developed Tascosa Acres and Chaparral Acres in Amarillo. He then returned to farming and ranching in Donley County and continued until his death. He loved to work with livestock and raised champion quarter horses. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his father in 1971; his mother in 1991; a brother, Allen Pittman in 1999; and a sister, Ina Fay Phillips in 2001. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Billy Mac Pittman and wife, Ruth, of Amarillo; two sisters, Jewell Wood of Green Valley, Ariz., and Christine Bain of Amarillo; two nephews; and seven nieces. She married Dr. Walter R. Clyde Jr. and moved to Amarillo in 1974, where she served with her husband at First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include a sister, Clair Pilon and husband, Roscoe, of Dillon, Mont., and a sister-in-law, Jean Griffith, of Amarillo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edwin Lee "Red" Hutson Edwin Lee "Red" Hutson, 82, of Amarillo died Sunday, June 19, 2005. Mr. Hutson was born in Goodnight to Willie Lee Hutson and Toye Ida Mayo Hutson on March 28, 1923. He loved people, fishing, reading, his pets and spending time with family. He married Anna Ruth Hansard on June 5, 1948, in First Baptist Church in Borger. They just celebrated their 57th anniversary. He worked for Amarillo Hardware Co. since 1956 until he retired in 1988. He served his country in the Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife; a son, Colby Hutson of Amarillo; a daughter, Priscilla Simons of Amarillo; a brother, Wayne Hutson; a granddaughter, Shasta Smith of Albuquerque, N.M.; a grandson, J.J. Mrs. Trejo was born Sept. 26, 1923, to Valentino and Gertrudes Escobar Vasquez in Uhland. She was raised by her widowed father and grandfather on the Vasquez Ranch in Austin. Survivors include her husband, Genaro; two sons, Eligio Guerra and Jose Flores; seven daughters, Julia L. Mr. Ruiz was born in Lometa. He had worked as a ginner. Mr. Carlile was born May 24, 1927, in Clarendon. He grew up and attended schools there. He joined the Merchant Marine after high school. After his service, he joined his father in the flooring business. He later was a farmer and truck driver. He married Bonnie Tucker on June 2, 1948, in Amarillo. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a son, Kelly Dale Carlile in 2002, and two grandsons, Cory Dale Loper in 1986 and Matt Alan Dutton in 2004. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Terry Dutton and husband, Alan, of Tulia, Dallana Loper of Abernathy and Robin Wesley of Amarillo; a sister, Leota Jones of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Carlile of Arlington; four grandsons; three granddaughters; a great-grandson; and a great-granddaughter.
