Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Duane Bilderback officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Mask was born June 28, 1933, in Mapleton, Kan. She married George Steven Mask in Raton, N.M., in 1952. He preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1999. She was a member of Church of Restoration. Survivors include two granddaughters, Rachel Hills and Melissa Hills; a sister, Margaret Inghelin of Arkansas; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeff Miller Jeff Miller, 51, of Amarillo died Sunday, June 19, 2005. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Miller was born in Amarillo and raised in Bartlesville, Okla. He returned to Amarillo in 1979. He owned and operated Import Specialists Auto Paint & Body Shop in Amarillo for many years. He loved the outdoors, and he loved to hunt. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Miller, and a sister, Dale Ann Massarant. Survivors include a daughter, Tiffany Melton of Amarillo; an adopted daughter, Chantell "Pepper" Hicks of Amarillo; a sister, Sherri Smallwood of Colorado; his mother, Lillise Miller of Canon City, Colo.; his ex-wife, Cathy Miller of Amarillo; and a granddaughter, Alexis, who was his pride and joy and the apple of his eye. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Chester Beavers officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Carper was a hard worker. He retired from ASARCO. He enjoyed fishing and cruising around town. Mrs. Acosta was born March 9, 1969, in Mexico. She married Sergio Acosta in 2001 at Canadian. Survivors include her mother, Ramona Mercado of Perryton; her husband; three daughters, Teresa Perez, Daniela Acosta and Noami Acosta, all of Perryton; two sons, Manuel Perez and Sergio Perez, both of Perryton; four brothers, Edwardo Mercado of Sunray, and David Mercado, Victor Mercado and Ramiro Mercado all of Perryton; three sisters, Adela Gonzalez of Perryton, Olivia Rosales of Mexico and Isabelle Zamora of Sunray; and two grandchildren. Mr. Lowman was born March 16, 1933, in Fargo, Okla. He married Crystal Chance on Oct. 28, 1952, in Woodward, Okla. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. James Episcopal Church with the Rev. Father Kenneth MacKenzie officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home. Mr. Schakel was born Aug. 19, 1961, in Palm Beach, Fla., to Karl K. and Doris W. Gilbert Schakel. Eric grew up in Wyoming and Colorado and moved to Dalhart in 1978. He graduated from Dalhart High School in 1979 and then attended West Texas State University, where he received his degree in agri-business. Eric was involved in many aspects of agri-business on an international level. He married Margaret Ann White on Oct. 11, 1984, in Paraguay. They moved to Dalhart in 1998. Eric was owner-operator for Southwest Multifoods, Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sarah Jane Schakel and Sophia Schakel, both of Dalhart; two sisters, Leslie VandeWalle of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Nancy Paul of Ventura, Calif.; and two brothers, Peter and K.G. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. John Wagoner, chaplain of Craig Methodist Retirement Center in Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Piatt was born July 13, 1923, in Burkburnett. She had been a Dumas resident since 1955. She married Forrest C. Piatt on April 14, 1955, in Amarillo. She was employed as executive secretary for Shamrock Oil & Gas from 1943 to 1955. She worked for the telephone company from 1956 to 1961, thereafter, she worked for Shamrock Federal Credit Union until her retirement in 1979. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Dumas. Survivors include her husband; a sister, Pat Hammett of Boerne; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrell Burton, chaplain of Odyssey Health Care of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Webster died Monday in Pampa from complications of Parkinson's Disease. She was born May 17, 1917, in Crescent, Okla. She was a Skellytown resident from 1929 until moving to Pampa in 1937. She worked at the Pampa Army Air Field during World War II making uniforms for airmen. She married Marvin C. Webster on May 17, 1936, in White Deer. She and her husband farmed in Gray and Carson counties for many years until retiring in 1975. Mr. Webster preceded her in death on May 1, 2000, after 64 years of marriage. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Faith Sunday school class, Pampa Chapter No. 65 Order of the Eastern Star and Auxiliary of Gideons International, Pampa Camp. She was a volunteer for Pampa Meals on Wheels. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lawnda Webster on Sept. 23, 2003. Survivors include a son, David Webster of Pampa; a brother, Dr. Merle Johnson of Porterville, Calif.; three grandchildren, Mark Webster and wife, Lianne, of Fort Worth and Cameron Webster and Whitney Webster, both of Pampa; and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Gross Funeral Home. Mr. Owens was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Clyde, Texas, to Callie Gertrude Owens and Dick Owens. He was married to Wyona Owens for 44 years and worked for Baker and Taylor Drilling Co. as truck superintendent for 40 years. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Darrie Francis of Perryton, Texas; a son, Pete Owens of St. Claire, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; two brothers, James Owens of Stinnett, Texas, and Jack Owens of Elk City, Okla.; and two sisters, Sadie Simpson of Borrego Springs, Calif., and Patsy Fields of Charleston, S.C.
