Amarillo Globe-News http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ============================================================== Amarillo Globe-News Obituaries Friday, July 8, 2005 Amarillo Caroline Kozar Caroline Kozar, 52, of Amarillo died Monday, July 4, 2005. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jim Bankhead officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Miss Kozar was a mother who was passionate about her children and gladly made any necessary sacrifice. Through her radiant personality and beaming smile, children and adults alike were naturally drawn to her and often found a place at the dinner table, where it was her custom to set an extra plate. Caroline was a friend and trusted confidante to many who were touched by her unconditional love. As a woman who made mothering look easy, it was only natural that she use her gift of compassion and pursue a career in nursing. Miss Kozar was a recovery room nurse for 15 years at Baptist St. Anthony's, where she was named Nurse of the Year on two separate occasions. It was the simple things in life that made Miss Kozar smile, such as the gladiolas in full bloom in her garden or a bouquet of dandelions given to her by a neighborhood child. What little free time she had was spent working in the yard and planting her enormous flower garden. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Howard Robertson, and a brother, Michael Andrew Robertson. Survivors include her children, Jayson, Travis, Adrianne, Jordan, and Hannah Kozar and Jerry Brown; her mother, Anna Robertson; her siblings, Kathie Donohoo, Curtis Robertson, Mary Pruett, Melinda Essary, Joyce Bieganowski and Robert Robertson; and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to the Hannah Kozar Benefit Fund, Amarillo National Bank, P.O. Box 1, Amarillo, TX 79105.
