Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon with the Rev. Jerry Hopkins officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Brewer was born April 12, 1930, in Spavinaw, Okla. She worked as the administrative manager for the Amarillo Caf. For more than 57 years, she was a devoted homemaker and true gift of God. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She married Arthur "Artie" Brewer on June 11, 1948, in Amarillo. Survivors include her husband, and three brothers, Gene Hopkins, Ray Hopkins and Jerry Hopkins, all of Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in San Jacinto Cemetery in Houston. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Dodson was born in Magnolia Springs. She graduated from Kirbyville High School in 1939. She married Leonard Pool in 1941. He passed away in 1972. She married Truett A. Dodson in 1974. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo for 30 years and a charter member of First Baptist of Jacinto City. She was highly devoted to her church, where she was active all of her life. She loved the Lord and her family. Survivors include her husband; four children, Sharon Emery and Ann Brown, both of Austin, Paul Pool of Katy and Wade Dodson of Borger; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She retired from Southwestern Bell where she had been a directory assistance operator. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse B. Steele. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Rice was born in Durant, Okla. She married Clyde Rice on Sept. 23, 1942, in Sayre, Okla. He passed away in 2003. She owned and operated Rice's Marine Supply and Arrowhead Farm and Ranch in Amarillo. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Linda Brown in 1987; a brother, Roy Brooks; and a sister, Polly Van Sant. Mrs. Ferguson lived in Amarillo for most of her life. She worked as a bartender in a number of different places. Debra loved the mountains and camping out with her children. She had many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susie Ping in May 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Amy Jones of Amarillo and Elaine Jones of Waxahachie; a son, Brandon White of Waxahachie; her father, Jack Ping and friend, Dorothy Meehan of Amarillo; her companion, Travis Underwood of Amarillo; and eight grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stella Mae Davis Stella Mae Davis, 88, of Amarillo died Thursday, July 28, 2005. Mrs. Davis was born in Leavenworth, Kan. She moved to Amarillo in 1959 from Hereford. Mrs. Davis retired from AISD after 18 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son; two daughters; and a grandson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo. Mrs. Brown was born Nov. 24, 1924, to Emmett T. and Willie D. Simpson Shreve. She was married to Carl O. Brown on Jan. 5, 1942, until his passing on Nov. 5, 1997. She loved her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Gruver Methodist Church and later attended Sunray Baptist Church. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Barretero was born April 29, 1931, in Durango, Mexico. He married Florinda Leon on July 11, 1989, in Plainview. Mrs. Brinkman was born on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, 1959, in Hobbs, N.M., to Hollis Dale Taylor and Shirley Taylor. She made a lasting impression on all she met and will be missed so much by family and friends. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Mrs. O'Bannon was born Feb. 1, 1911, in Glenwood, Ark. She was a resident of Dumas since 1968, where she was a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Dumas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gilbert O'Bannon in 1959, and three stepchildren, Hortense Ellard, Opal Kelly and Aubrey O'Bannon. Survivors include a granddaughter, Thressa Carrell of Dumas; a grandson, Jackie Ellard of Phoenix; a nephew, Norman White of Dallas; her caregivers, Sam and Harriet Aldrich of Dumas; 15 great-grandchildren; and several great- great-grandchildren.
