Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Gruver Cemetery in Gruver. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Alexander was born Jan. 22, 1955, in Canon City, Colo. He graduated with honors from Wentworth Military Academy in Missouri and attended Amarillo College and West Texas State University. He was the owner of Alexander Enterprises and was a member of the BCA Pool League. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Alexander Jr., and a sister, Catherine Alexander Nix. Survivors include his wife, Debbie; his mother, Betty Reust and stepfather, Milton, of Guymon, Okla.; two daughters, Mandy Robinson of Amarillo and Beth Richmond and husband, Jeremy, of Corona, N.M.; three stepchildren, Casey Bretz, Jesse Bretz and Amy Bretz, all of Amarillo; three brothers, Chuck Alexander of Amarillo, Ed Reust of Guymon and Mark Reust of Clayton, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to Ronald McDonald House, 1501 Streit Drive, Amarillo, TX 79106. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leonard Eugene "Van" Vandenbrook Leonard Eugene "Van" Vandenbrook, 79, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Tommy Ewing, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Vandenbrook died Saturday after a brave struggle with cancer. Mr. Vandenbrook was born March 13, 1926, in Udolpho Township, Dodge County, Minn., to George Martin "Mark" Vandenbrook and Agnes Josephine Vandenbrook. He was married to Mary Viola "Vi" Ramzel from May 4, 1947, until her death on Aug. 19, 1991. He then married Delores Richardson on April 11, 1992. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Martin Rae Vandenbrook and wife, Mary Finn Vandenbrook, of Kingwood and Steve Roberson and wife, Carol, of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Vandenbrook, Margaret Vandenbrook Frassinet, Michelle Roberson and Tiffany Packer; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Brendan and Mary Fraissinet, and soon to arrive twins, Makenzie and Cayden Packer; special friends, Steve and Belinda Nolte; and many other very close friends and family members. The family suggests memorials to the Harrington Cancer Center. Adams, 86, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005. Services will be at 5 p.m. today in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Matt Hill and LaRon Branson officiating. Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Premont Cemetery in Premont with Kenion Coleman and Marcus Bobb officiating. Arrangements are by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia and Howard-Williams-Turcotte Funeral Home of Falfurrias. Mr. Adams was born to Matilda Keip Adam and Rudolph Adam on Sept. 30, 1918. in Columbus, Wis. He moved to New Mexico as a young boy where he met and married his wife, Christine Hills, on Sept. 2, 1937. He served in the Navy. Ed and Chris raised their family in Premont. Edís hobbies included flying and farming. He commuted from Premont to Corpus Christi daily for 30 years, where he was a welder at Reynolds Aluminum. He spent his last years in Tulia, where his son and daughter-in-law cared for him. A special thanks to Tina Garcia, Margie Auten, Donna Collins and Area Community Hospice during health challenges in Dadís last days. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1996; two brothers, Reuben and George; and a sister, Ruth. Survivors include a son, Don Adams and wife, Freva, of Tulia; a daughter, Donna Gibson and husband, Dave, of Bluffdale, Utah; a sister, Laura Schmidt of Rio, Wis.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and his friends. Mrs. Purcell was born Jan. 29, 1941, in Borger. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include five sons, Chris Purcell, Dale Purcell and John Purcell III, all of Borger, Billy Purcell of Stinnett and Leslie Purcell of Washington; two daughters, Clydean McKinzie of Novice and Brittany Purcell of Stinnett; three brothers, Hershel Brazeal of Borger, Curt Brazeal of Owasso, Okla., and Earnest Brazeal of Shawnee, Okla.; 32 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Doris Elder SHAMROCK - Doris Elder, 83, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Z.A. Myers, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. Elder lived in the Abra Community for more than 30 years, moving to Shamrock in 1994. She was born to Joe and Lizzie Jones Vick in Mount Vernon on Jan. 5, 1922. She married Noble Elder on Jan. 5, 1940, in Wellington. Mrs. Elder was a homemaker and baby sat children through two generations. She was a member of Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Darrel Elder in 1959; her parents; four brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mary Kathleen Daniel and husband, Don, of Ardmore, Okla.; a brother, Charles Ray Vick of Pampa; two sisters, Hazel Pike of Childress and Dolly Jennings of Andrews; two grandsons, Chris Henley and wife, Kim, of Coppell and Waylon Henley and wife, Crystal, of Ardmore; a great-grandson, Jonathan Tate Henley of Coppell; and several nieces and nephews. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert "Bob" Sears PERRYTON - Robert "Bob" Sears, 79, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mary Wilhite of Midland, Sandra Sears of Perryton and Martha Vijjeswarapu of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Gene Sears of Lafayette, La., and Vern Sears of Hot Springs, Ark.; and four grandchildren. Kisner SAN DIEGO - Jonathan H. Kisner, 49, formerly of Amarillo, Texas, died recently in San Diego. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Amarillo with the Rev. John Watson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., in Amarillo. Mr. Kisner was born in Amarillo on July 31, 1955, to Jerrel Travis Kisner and Mary Elizabeth Weatherly Kisner. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School and attended Amarillo College, San Angelo College, Oakton Community College and the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was a computer engineer and served in that profession for approximately 20 years. Mr. Kisner was an accomplished musician and an avid snow and water skier. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother; two sisters, Jerry Lynn Kirkpatrick and husband, Dr. James Kirkpatrick, and Mary Beth Kisner-Griffin and husband, Robert; and a nephew, William Kirkpatrick. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Mexico Margaret G. Vigil CLAYTON, N.M. - Margaret G. Vigil, 65, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2005. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with P. Louis Montoya, deacon, officiating. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church the Rev. James McGowan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors. Mrs. Vigil was born Feb. 22, 1940, in Farley to Silvano Blan and Emma Brown Blan. She married Steven Vigil on June 7, 1956, in Clayton. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sofie Lucero of Clayton and Susie Lerma of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; two sons, Lawrence Vigil and Edward Vigil, both of Clayton; two sisters, Mary Leal and Vickie Raines, both of Clayton; three brothers, Benny Blan of Albuquerque, Eloy Blan of Clayton and Jimmy Blan of Waka, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
