Watson Billie T. Watson, 78, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. David Evans officiating. Burial will be private in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Watson was born March 11, 1927, in Mobeetie and had lived in Amarillo for 60 years. She was a very involved member of Trinity Baptist Church. She had been President of TxDOT Credit Union. Survivors include a daughter, Sheryl Keen of Amarillo; a son, Daryl Watson of Amarillo; a grandson, Thomas Keen of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Sara Keen and Aubrey Watson, both of Amarillo; and a great-grandson, Devin Watley of Amarillo; two brothers, C.E. Trimble of Bovina and Cary Johnson of Burnet; and a sister, Barbara Bunnell of Odessa. The family suggests memorials be to City Church in care of Don Lane, 205 S. Polk St., Amarillo, TX 79101. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Louise Hamm Louise Hamm, 89, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Glen Walton and Dale Dennis of Bell Avenue Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Hamm received her BA from West Texas State University and a MA from the University of Texas. She started her 40-year teaching career in Kingsville. She then taught in Quanah before moving to Amarillo to teach at Sam Houston Jr. High and Tascosa High School. She loved to play Scrabble and was a charter member of Bell Avenue Church of Christ. Survivors include a sister, Kathryn Higgins and husband, Noel, of Texline; two nephews, Don Higgins and wife, Sylvia, of Lubbock and David Higgins and wife, Danell, of Texline; four great-nephews; and two great-nieces. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patty Sue Long Patty Sue Long, 72, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery with Robbie Hawkins of the United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Long, 54-year resident of Amarillo, died Tuesday. Patty was employed by Merrill Lynch, Perce, Fenner and Smith. She retired in 1995 following 45 years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel P. Long Jr. of Amarillo; her parents, John Guy and Pearl Ford of Canyon; her sister, Johnnie Marie Hawkins of Hart; and two brothers, Alvis Doyle of Jal, N.M., and John Guy Ford Jr. of Amarillo. Survivors include four sisters, Tommie L. Williams of Amarillo, Jo Ann Hill of Austin, Bobbie J. Kitchens of Hereford and R. June Crouse of Houston; two brothers, Murray D. Ford of Crane and Richard D. Survivors include her parents, Alonzo and Sandy Rodriguez of Amarillo; her grandparents, Enriqueta Rodriguez and Lazaro Rodriguez, both of Cactus, and Hermelinda Molina and Juan Molina, both of El Encino de la Paz; and two aunts, Gloria Ruiz Molina and Lucy Molina, both of Amarillo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ethel Anne King Ethel Anne King, 70, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Norred, pastor of Tradewinds Assembly of God, and Mike Eastep, Mrs. King's grandson, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mrs. King was born Dec. 10, 1934, in Manford, Okla. to Earl and Viola Barnett. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 1970. Mrs. King had worked as a nurse from 1981 to 2002. Ethel was a member of Tradewinds Assembly of God Church in Amarillo. Survivors include a son, Jimmy Baker and wife, Vickie; two daughters, Margie Freer and husband, Charles, and Eunice Crumpton and husband, George; two sisters, Peggy Zack and husband, Bill, and Carol Reece; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a niece; a nephew; and two great-nieces. The body will be available for viewing from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Dumas and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., in Amarillo. The family will be at 220 Chelsea in Dumas. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Yvonne Marie Ingrum MIAMI - Yvonne Marie Ingrum, 57, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Christian Church in Pampa with the Rev. Brent Thornton, pastor of First Christian Church of Miami, and the Rev. Kenneth W. Tidmore, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Springer, N.M., officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Ingrum was born Oct. 11, 1947, in Strong City, Kan., to James Jay and Helen LeMay Danford. Her family moved to the Price Ranch north of Pampa in 1955, where she attended school at Spring Creek. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1967. She married Gerry N. Ingrum on May 14, 1966, in Clovis, N.M. She was a past member of the 1960s Leather & Lace Riding Club of Pampa, and past member of High Plains Home Demonstration Club. She was a member of both First Christian Church in Pampa and Miami. She was a former kindergarten Sunday school teacher in Pampa. She was a member of Miami Red Hat Society. Mrs. Ingrum was involved with her husband in ranching and farming east of Pampa from 1971 to the present time. She had been a resident of Miami since 1997. She loved caring for her flowers, making floral arrangements and capturing their beauty with her cross-stitch. Sewing for her grandkids, cooking for the cowboys or her family, feeding her backyard birds, camping in the mountains, being a Green Bay Packer fan, smelling the fresh plowed soil, watching over heifers with their newborn calves and the Christmas season were all special to her. She had been battling cancer off and on for 13 years, but she always managed to hang on to a positive outlook and had a smile for everybody. Her family expresses their deep gratitude to the Miami community and BSA Hospice for their loving care and concern. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, De Ann Bivins of Miami and Denise Howard of McLean; five grandchildren; a special nephew, Kevin Danford of Amarillo; a brother, Robert Danford of Stratford; and a host of good friends and relatives. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the United Methodist Church with L.H. Webb officiating. Arrangements are by Bailey-Ware Funeral Home. Mr. Longino was born June 1, 1919, in Bergen, Ky., to Hugh and Ella Longino. He married Imogene Peabody on Dec. 27, 1946, in McLean. He was in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in ceramic engineering. He retired in 1982 from Eagle-Picher Industries Inc., where he worked in their chemical division. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Ella Longino; a brother, Ray Longino; a son, Clay Longino; and a grandchild, Joshua Longino. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Joe Ted Longino and wife, Janice, of Rockwall, Bob R. Longino of Atlanta, Ga., and Jay Longino and wife, Deborah, of Amarillo; two brothers, Hugh Longino and wife, Shirley, of Crowell and Harold Longino and wife, Opal, of Arvada, Colo.; a sister, Lenore McGuire of Carlsbad, N.M.; and seven grandchildren. Mrs. McDaniel had been a resident of the Pampa and Lefors areas most of her life. She worked at Pak A Burger in Pampa for nine years. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Wright Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alberta Helton, pastor of Wheeler Community Church, officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Welty Cemetery in Welty, Okla. Mr. Rains was born May 22, 1929, in Castle, Okla., to Thomas Jefferson and Margaret Rains. He married Betty Marie Kelly on May 17, 1949, in Okemah, Okla. They moved to Mobeetie in 1965 from Okemah. Mr. Rains worked in the oilfield business until he retired in 1985. He trained racehorses and raised quarter horses from 1971 until 2003. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1999. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Rains of Farmington, N.M.; a daughter, Faith Price of Weatherford; a brother, Jack Rains of Oklahoma City; a sister, Ethel Baker of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Shara Bell of Mobeetie, Shana Whatley of Fort Knox, Ky., and Wade Rains of Bristow, Okla.; and six great- grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bob Sanders FRITCH - Bob Sanders, 77, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains with Bob Thomas, chaplain of Odyssey Health Care in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Mr. Sanders was born March 24, 1928, in Henrietta, Okla. He married Melba Jo Bullard on July 30, 1945, in Borger. Survivors include three sons, Gary Sanders of Fritch, and Bary Sanders and Terry Sanders, both of Booker; a daughter, Sherry Gilbreath of Fritch; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Floyd Franklin Watson PAMPA - Floyd Franklin Watson, 83, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Claude Cone, retired executive director of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico, the Rev. Doug DuBose, retired Baptist minister, and the Rev. John Glover, associate pastor of Field Street Baptist Church in Cleburne, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Watson was born March 26, 1922, in Sherman and was a 1939 graduate of Denton High School. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1946. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Maxine Loader on June 22, 1946, in Denton, and she preceded him in death on July 25, 2003. Mr. Watson took his first job in banking as bookkeeper for First State Bank in Denton in 1942. He joined the Texas Department of Banking as assistant examiner in 1944, serving until 1946, when he joined Citizens Bank and Trust Co. in Pampa as cashier. He remained at Citizens Bank for 12 years, serving as vice president and executive vice president. In 1959, he moved to First National Bank in Pampa as vice president, became president in 1964, and was elected president and chairman of the board in 1971. He retired in 1995 after 36 years at First National Bank. Mr. Watson served on the board of directors of the Texas Bankers Association for two years and served on the regional advisory committee of the National Banking Department's Office of the Comptroller of Currency. Floyd was past president of Pampa Rotary Club, Pampa Jaycees, Pampa Chamber of Commerce and Board of City Development, Pampa Independent School District Board of Trustees, Pampa United Way Board and Pampa Industrial Foundation. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a past chairman of the deacon board, was a former Sunday school teacher of senior boys, and was a member of Everyman's Bible Class. He was one of the original organizers and directors of Pampa Youth and Community Center, where he served as treasurer for several years. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Pearl Hunsucker Collins and Robert E. Collins; a brother, Wm. E. "Bill" Watson; and a sister, Naomia Morton. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Ferguson and husband, Clint, of Eastland and Beth Duggan and husband, John, of Glen Rose; a son, Randall F. "Randy" Watson of Pampa; six grandchildren, Trey Ferguson and wife, Adrienne, of Arlington, David Ferguson and wife, Holly, and Abby Cobb and husband, Beau, all of San Antonio, Eric Duggan of Granbury and Emily Watson and Luke Watson, both of Pampa; a great-grandson, Seth Ferguson of Arlington; and a great- granddaughter, Maddie Cobb of San Antonio. Lay of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview. Mrs. Vessels was born Nov. 10, 1907, in Wilkinson, Miss. She married Alvy L. Vessels on May 2, 1943, in Boisser City, La.
