Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Mr. Haas was born in Oberlin, Kan., to George and Beulah Chapin Haas. Delmer married Margaret Catano-Hamilton on Nov. 8, 1981, in Clovis, N.M. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and good provider. He loved gardening, animals and especially his dog, Lucky. He was a member of Paramount Baptist Church. With his passion for the Lord, he always asked others to pray and seek the Lord for guidance in their times of despair. He was a graduate of Amarillo College. He retired from Amarillo National after 37 years of service on Nov. 9, 1989. He was preceded in death by both parents; a grandson Shawn Hamilton; and a brother, Darrell. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bill Haubner of Plano, Paul Hamilton of Tucson, Ariz., and Donald Hamilton of Carrollton; a daughter, Margaret Villanueva of Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. The family suggests memorials be sent to 4402 S. Bell St., No. 201, Amarillo, TX 79109. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jack Warren Stanford Jack Warren Stanford, 88, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Stanford was born in Amarillo and lived here all of his life. He attended Johnson Street School. He married Alene Covey in Amarillo on Jan. 10, 1936. Mr. Stanford served in the Navy and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He owned and operated Jack's Repair Service for more than 50 years. He had a strong love for his family and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998; three brothers; two sisters; and a granddaughter, Candy Groom. Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Conner and husband, A.R., and Vicki Lammert, all of Amarillo; three brothers, Frank Stanford of Del Norte, Colo., Ben Stanford of Betal, Miss., and Pat Stanford of Yoakum; a sister, Peggy Oliver of Salem, Ore.; a grandson, Jack Conner and wife, Suzy, of Amarillo; four great-grandchildren, Gregory Groom, Stephanie Groom, Nielsen Conner and Brysen Conner, all of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Frankie Stanford of Amarillo; and his beloved dogs, Maggie and Charlie. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frances E. Crain Frances E. Crain, 52, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005. Wake services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Warford-Walker Mortuary Chapel, 509 N. Hughes St., with Warren Coble, elder, officiating. Ms. Crain was born June 23, 1953, in Amarillo. She attended North Heights Elementary school. Survivors include five brothers, Cozy, Lemmie, Glen, and Earnest, all of Amarillo, and Arthur of Abilene; and four sisters, Ruth Stern of Altus, Okla., Carol A. Crain of Fort Worth and Mattie F. Bradley and Della A. Patton, both of Dallas. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Juan Carlos Hidalgo HART - Juan Carlos Hidalgo, 19, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005. Services will take place in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Juan was born in Camargo on Nov. 28, 1985. He and his family have lived in Hart since November 2004. Survivors include his parents, Juan and Rosa Hidalgo of Hart; a brother, Daniel Hidalgo of Hart; a sister, Iris Hidalgo of Hart; and his grandparents, Vicente Duran Martinez and Rosalia Parra de Duran of Hart and Feliciano Hidalgo Jaramillo and Maria Louisa Hernandez de Hidalgo of Camargo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sue Gravley CHILDRESS - Sue Gravley, 80, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kerry Wood and the Rev. Johnny Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Gravley was born Jan. 17, 1925, in Hereford. She was a government clerk for A.S.C.S. Survivors include a son, Jim Gravley of Allen; her twin sister, Rue Bailiff of Childress; and a sister, Lucsetia Bagwell of Johnson City. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Carole A. Gibson STRATFORD - Carole A. Gibson, 63, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Christian Church in Stratford with the Rev. Ken Metzger, retired Methodist minister of Lubbock, and the Rev. Gene Weinette, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Stratford, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Carole Kading was born in Baltimore on Oct. 25, 1941. She was raised in Casey, Iowa, where she married Don Gibson in 1962. They moved to Stratford in 1968. She was a Girl Scout volunteer for more than 20 years. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and was very active in the United Methodist Women and church bell choir. She worked at different jobs full time and part time while she raised her kids. She retired in 1998, and they moved to Borger until Don retired in 2004 when they came back to Stratford. Many other kids besides her own knew her as Mom or Nanny. Survivors include her husband; three children, Soren G. Gibson of Canyon, Donita Robertson of Stratford and Jeremy W. Gibson and wife, Jana, of Amarillo; two brothers, Bill Kading and wife, Barbara, and Keith Kading, all of Casey; and six grandchildren, Kayla, Heather, Aubrey, Stephanie, Austin and Annjela. The family suggests memorials be to the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106. The family will be at 312 S. Wall in Stratford. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Baca FRIONA - John Baca, 74, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, near Clovis, N.M. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church with the Rev. Ed Sweeney of Amarillo and Gabe Rivas, deacon, of Canyon, officiating. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery in Bovina by Blackwell Funeral Home. A lifetime Parmer County resident, Mr. Baca was born May 11, 1931, in Bovina. He was a 1950 graduate of Bovina High School. He married Matilda Jane Brito on Oct. 5, 1956, in Bovina. She died May 13, 2001. He co-owned West Hub Gin for many years and currently owned Hub Storage and Hub Bag Companies. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Friona Senior Citizens and the Friona Economic Development Board. Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Braillif and husband, Raul, and Peggy Cabrera, all of Friona; a sister, Mary Rose Brito of Hereford; a brother, George Baca of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Candi Baca Geske and husband, Eric, Brandi Braillif, Stephanie Cabrera and John Andrew Cabrera; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe Braillif and Caleb Geske. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canyon Fred McKinin Fred McKinin, 41, of Canyon died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church of Canyon with the Rev. Kevin Deckard, pastor of Westover Fellowship Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. McKinin was born March 16, 1964, to the late Dorothy A. McKinin and Frederick M. McKinin of St. Louis, Mich. On Aug. 17, 1986, he married Deanna Burns in Canyon. They have two boys, Michael and Matthew. Fred was very passionate about his family and his cars. He loved spending time with his family and working on their many cars with his sons. Although working, restoring and racing cars were a passion of his, Fred always found time to make his family and friends laugh. His sense of humor was known to all who knew him well. After graduating college from West Texas A&M University, Fred sold cars for many years. Fred was a member of First United Methodist Church. He will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts and always in our memories, bringing smiles to our faces! We love you! Your family and friends. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael McKinin and Matthew McKinin, both of Canyon; a brother, Edmund McKinin of Mount Pleasant, Mich.; a sister, Heather Mills of Alma, Mich.; his father, Frederick McKinin of St. Louis, Mich.; three nephews, Grant Mills, Xander McKinin and Andrew Wright; a niece, Kylie Wright; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dwight and Ophelia Burns; and a sister-in-law, Donna Wright.
