Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in South Georgia Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Miller of the church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Burge was born in Coffeyville, Kan. He was a 46-year member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union #196 in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife, Arba; two sons, Richard Burge and wife, Marla, of Amarillo and Chris Burge and wife, Kirsten, of Gilbert, Ariz.; a brother, Roger Burge; five grandchildren; and his special friends, Midnight and Freckles. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- James E. "Jimmy" Bonner James E. "Jimmy" Bonner, 47, of Amarillo died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Dr. Dana Moore of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services will be at noon Wednesday in Panhandle Cemetery in Panhandle with Bill Fuller, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Panhandle, officiating. Mr. Bonner was born in Amarillo. He grew up in Panhandle and graduated from Panhandle High School in 1976. He was employed by the Potter County Road and Bridge Department, where he had worked since 1995. Survivors include two sons, Jason Lloyd Bonner of Amarillo and Brett Bonner of Carlsbad, N.M.; his father and stepmother, Jim and Jane Bonner of Amarillo; his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Pete Belknap of Edwards, Miss.; a sister, Cathy Bonner of Amarillo; four brothers; his twin, Joe Bonner and wife, Annette, of Panhandle, and David Bonner, Scott Bonner and wife, Michelle, and Glenn Bonner, all of Amarillo; many nieces and nephews; and his friend, Nancy L. Fichtler of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to Panhandle FFA. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bobby Jack Jones Sr. Bobby Jack Jones Sr., 79, of Amarillo died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Ave Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Jones was born July 28, 1926, to Mack and Mary Adkins Jones in Palmer. He was a World War II Army veteran and served in the Army Reserves for 17 years. He began his career in law enforcement in 1951 with the Amarillo Police Department, where he became a detective and worked for 15 years. He was in charge of security for Wackenhut Security at Bell helicopter for several years. He started working for the Randall County Sheriff's Department on Feb. 1, 1984, and retired after 11 years of service in 1995 at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Dorothy C. Jones on March 17, 1984. Survived include a son, Bobby Jack Jones Jr. and wife, Jody, of Amarillo; a daughter, Lois Patterson and husband, Denny, of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Horace Jones of Irving; two sisters, Willie Rawls and Ima Jo Hoggatt, both of Pampa; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with Ron Hein, deacon of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Horizon Funeral Home. Mrs. Shepherd was born July 30, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She and her husband of 61 years, Everett, owned and operated the Sweet Shop in Dalhart. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jim Shepherd of San Antonio, Steve Shepherd of Plano and Glenn Shepherd of Dalhart; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Coon Memorial Nursing Home. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charles Gary Casebier PAMPA - Charles Gary Casebier, 86, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005. Services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Casebier married Betty L. Brett on Sept. 5, 1958, in Leavenworth, Kan. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum for 46 years, retiring in 1982 as office manager. Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary A. Casebier of Saginaw; a daughter, Nancy Bergman of Midland; a stepdaughter, Valerie Gray of Wylie; and six grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gordon Dale Hatcher CLARENDON - Gordon Dale Hatcher, 65, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories with Leonard Holt, pastor of Agape Christian Church in Clarendon, officiating. Private burial was Monday in Citizens Cemetery. Mr. Hatcher was born Feb. 19, 1940, in Idabel, Okla. He was an Amarillo resident before moving to Clarendon three years ago. He married Norma Jean Northern on Oct. 3, 1964, in Amarillo. He had been the maintenance supervisor at Chasewood Apartments before his retirement. He was a member of a men's bowling league and bowled in the Grand Street League. He was a member of Agape Christian Church in Clarendon. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Herbert and Nona Estella Whitten Hatcher; and three brothers, W.D. Hatcher, Charles H. Hatcher and Wayne Hatcher. Survivors include his wife; and eight sisters, Gladys Stogsdill of Garland, Mary Bogle and Betty Novak, both of Edmond, Okla., Nona Renfro of Marlow, Okla., Jean Pogue of Wichita Falls, Ann Mims of Weatherford, and Lorraine Almsted and Lameda Black, both of Wellington. Rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Carlos Chavez officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Bauer was born April 30, 1915, in Bird Island, Minn. She was a home care worker for the state of California. DUNCAN CLOVIS, N.M. - Ethel E. Duncan, 80, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005. No services will be held. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Duncan was born April 12, 1925, in Melrose. She was a clerk at Alco and a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include three brothers, Perle M. Duncan of Pleasant Hill, and Howard Duncan and Charles Duncan, both of Texico; and two sisters, Lillian Dean and Wilma Ploudre, both of Clovis. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- DONNA ILEENE LIVINGSTON CLOVIS, N.M. - Donna Ileene Livingston, 72, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005. Private family services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Livingston was born June 6, 1933, in Chinook, Mont. She was a homemaker and volunteer. Survivors include three sons, Jim Darby of Montana, Bruce Darby of Salt Lake City and David Darby of Iowa; four daughters, Loucinda DeLacy and Karla LeBerman, both of Spokane, Wash., Theresa Keckler of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Tracy Barnett of Iowa; her father, John Nick of Kahlotus, Wash.; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canyon Fred McKinin Fred McKinin, 41, of Canyon died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church of Canyon with the Rev. Kevin Deckard, pastor of Westover Fellowship Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. McKinin was born March 16, 1964, to the late Dorothy A. McKinin and Frederick M. McKinin of St. Louis, Mich. On Aug. 17, 1986, he married Deanna Burns in Canyon. They have two boys, Michael and Matthew. Fred was very passionate about his family and his cars. He loved spending time with his family and working on their many cars with his sons. Although working, restoring and racing cars were a passion of his, Fred always found time to make his family and friends laugh. His sense of humor was known to all who knew him well. After graduating college from West Texas A&M University, Fred sold cars for many years. Fred was a member of First United Methodist Church. He will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts and always in our memories, bringing smiles to our faces! We love you! Your family and friends. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael McKinin and Matthew McKinin, both of Canyon; a brother, Edmund McKinin of Mount Pleasant, Mich.; a sister, Heather Mills of Alma, Mich.; his father, Frederick McKinin of St. Louis, Mich.; three nephews, Grant Mills, Xander McKinin and Andrew Wright; a niece, Kylie Wright; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dwight and Ophelia Burns; and a sister-in-law, Donna Wright. Box 1, Canyon, TX 79015; or a favorite charity. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elsewhere Oscar Drew Christie SAN ANTONIO, CALIF. - Oscar Drew Christie, 71, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005. No services were held, but a memorial service for the family is planned at a later date a Drew's favorite golf course in Oregon. Mr. Christie was born March 20, 1934, in Clarendon, Texas, to L.O. and Sallie Christie. He graduated from Clarendon High School in 1951 and from New Mexico State University in 1955. He was an educator in New Mexico and Arizona prior to moving to Upland in 1973 when he entered the insurance business. Survivors include his wife, Ardith Camille; two daughters, Lynn of Oregon and Karen of Upland; two sons, Bradley of Phoenix and David of Sonora; two grandchildren of Phoenix; a sister, Mary Ford of Amarillo, Texas; and a brother, Nelson of Clarendon.
