Azzinnari Valerie G. Azzinnari, 46, of Arlington, formerly of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Mark Killam, pastor of Grace Covenant Church of Arlington, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Azzinnari was born on June 8, 1959, in Amarillo. She graduated from Tascosa High School with the class of 1977. She was a great woman, a wonderful mother and her heart was filled with love for our Lord and Savior. Mama, we will all miss you and your bright smile. Survivors include her husband, Salvatore; her daughter, Jessica Azzinnari, of Arlington; her mother and stepfather, Barbara and JL Kellum of Amarillo; her father and stepmother, E.A. and Beverly Davey of Amarillo; a grandmother, Wilma Hart of Pampa; her mother and father-in-law, Domenica and Salvatore Azzinnari of Nutley, N.J.; and many brothers, sisters, and cousins. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. James Collins, pastor, and the Rev. Vurn Martin, pastor of Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St. Mr. Conict was born Sept. 16, 1938, in Harlingten. He attended public school in Borger, at Franklin Beauty School and Texas Southern University. He was a chef in the Los Angeles area and later worked for Wooden Nickel Restaurant in Amarillo. Mr. Conict was a faithful member of the Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Shambresha of the home; his mother, Roberta Shaw of Amarillo; a son, Lee Johnson and wife, Shelah, of Arlington; three daughters, Cheryl Pace and husband, John, of Amarillo and Pamela Wooten and husband, Charles, and Cynthia Westmoreland and husband, Wes, all of Arlington; seven sisters, Mary Doniels and husband, Levie, Margaret Monroe, Marie Sherwood and husband, Timothy, Mary Penns, Joyce Phillips all of Amarillo, Helen Roberts of DeSoto and Loraine Carden and husband, Jasper, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five brothers, Roger Tillmon and wife, Wilma, L.T. Tillmon and wife Vera, all of Los Angeles, Robert Tillmon and wife, Linda, of Lubbock, Bobby Tillmon and wife, Doris, of Pampa, Richard Tillmon and wife, LaReta, of Levelland; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Beulah "Faye" Miller Beulah "Faye" Miller, 87, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Bob Thomas officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Miller was born in Big Hill on March 23, 1918, to Asa and Beulah Shelton. She worked as a secretary in the Galveston Independent School District and at Edwards Medical Supply. Mrs. Miller moved to Amarillo eight years ago. She was an inspiration and a role model to her family. She was a tremendous influence to all those around her. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Jackson and husband, Bob, of Amarillo; a son, Butch Miller and wife, Susie, of Raleigh, N.C.; two nieces, Carolyn Webb and husband, Richard, and Sandra Wallace and husband, Donnie; six grandchildren, Jed, Patrick, Amanda, Max, Carly and Tucker; and one great- grandchild, Adrian. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Darliene Stout VanLaningham Darliene Stout VanLaningham, 81, of Amarillo died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. VanLaningham was born March 24, 1924, in Amarillo to Thomas O. and Sarah E. Johnson. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1941. She attended Amarillo College and West Texas State University and lived in Oklahoma, Galveston, Litchfield, Ill., and Toledo Bend Lake, but always came home to Amarillo. She was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church and volunteered through Amarillo Junior League, Northwest Texas Hospital, Child Welfare Board, Cerebral Palsy Center, Girl Scouts, St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary in Litchfield, Adult Reading Program in Hemphill and Hemphill Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam VanLaningham on Feb. 25, 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Connie Garrett and husband, Bob, of Amarillo; a son, Tom Stout and wife, Pat, of Amarillo; and five grandchildren, Andrea, Shelby, Brett, Shannon and Brad; and two great-grandchildren. Desai; two sons, Bhadresh Desai and Paresh Desai; five daughters, Daxa Patel, Ushaben Patel, Sangeltaben Patel, Mitdben Patel and Ashaben Patel; one sister, Ramilaben Patel; and 11 grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area F.C. "Coke" Harlow KINGSLAND - F.C. "Coke" Harlow, 80, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, in Austin. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in Morrison Funeral Directors Chapel in Dumas with the Rev. Eddie Tubbs, pastor at First Baptist Church of Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery in Dumas. Mr. Harlow was born July 4, 1925, in Kingman, Kan. He was a resident of Dumas from 1955 through 1963. He graduated from Kingman High School and attended the University of Kansas. He served in the Army-V Corps European Theater in World War II. He and his wife, Billie Coles were married April 10, 1993, in Ute Park, N.M. From 1946 through 1955, he was loan officer and cashier for Perryton National Bank. Between 1955 and 1963, he was charter stockholder, vice president, loan officer and on the board of directors for First National Bank of Dumas. Between 1963 and 1966, he served as vice president, loan officer and board member for Central Share Bank of Wichita, Kan. From 1966 to 1975, he served as president and chairman of the board of Coffeyville State Bank of Coffeyville, Kan. Then he returned to Dumas from 1975 to 1993 before moving to Kingsland in Burnet County. His first wife, Doris L. Harlow, preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 1990. Survivors include his wife, Billie Harlow; two daughters, Terry Kim Harlow of Amarillo, and Patty Mike Meyer of Dumas; one sister, Mary Curry Cohoon of Topeka, Kan.; and one stepdaughter, Cynthia R. Lanahan and husband, retired Maj. Lenn Lanahan, of Round Rock; two grandchildren, Brittnee Meyer and Colby Meyer; and two stepgrandsons, Kayne Lanahan and Kyler Lanahan. The family suggests memorials be to Ute Park Memorial Fund in care of Sherry Jo Gray, Ute Park, NM, 87749; or to the Cimarron EMS in Cimarron, NM, 87714. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mary Elizabeth Ewing PANHANDLE - Mary Elizabeth Ewing, 96, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Vernon and the Rev. Bill Fuller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Ewing was born July 24, 1909, in Pendleton County, Ky. She moved to Carson County in January 1915 with her parents, Elmer and Mamie Ewing. She had lived at Garretson’s since 1995. Mary retired from teaching after 46 years, 40 of which were with Panhandle public schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panhandle from 1934 until the time of her death. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Altrurian Club and a lifetime member of the PTA and the Girl Scouts. She was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association, National Education Association, National Retired Teachers Association, Texas Retired Teachers Association and the Panhandle Retired Teachers Association. In 1988, the Women’s Forum recognized her with the Distinguished Women Service Award for Volunteerism. She was also given the 7 Who Care Award in April 1989. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Dorothy Ewing Johnson, Norma Jane Ewing, Lillian Ewing Miller, Winnifred Ewing Penny, Juanita Ewing Stankey, and one brother, Ted Harris Ewing Survivors include three half sisters, Ellen Ewing Odell of Amarillo, Ethel Ewing Stienfort and Effie Ewing Marguart; and two half-brothers, Charles E. Ewing and Elmer E. Ewing, Jr.; many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oklahoma Mar-Gwen Lackey Crawley EDMOND, Okla. - Mar-Gwen Lackey Crawley, 61, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005. Graveside services were held at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the Floydada Cemetery in Floydada, Texas. Arrangements are by Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors of Oklahoma City. Ms. Crawley was born Jan. 21, 1944, in Floydada. She was the daughter of Jack C. and Mary Helen Johnson White Lackey. She attended schools in Floydada from 1950 to 1958, and then the family moved to Hereford. Mar-Gwen was a 1962 graduate of Hereford High School. In August of 1968, she married Tom Crawley. She graduated from the University of Colorado in 1974 with a degree in business. Her career with AT&T began in Denver in 1975. She transferred to New Jersey in 1980 and moved to Edmond in 1999 to complete her career with Lucent Technologies. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arlen White. Survivors include a brother, Larry White and wife, Gail, of Canyon, Texas; a cousin, Don Dopson of Spur, Texas; two nieces, Lori Fatheree of San Antonio and Joni White of Canyon; and a nephew, Blayne White of Southlake, Texas. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
