Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt with the Rev. Ken Keller and the Rev. Lupe Mayorga officiating. Mr. Espinosa was born in Plainview on Feb. 8, 1982. He graduated from Dimmitt High School in 2000 and attended the Academy of Professional Careers in Amarillo in 2002. He loved low rider cars, especially Cadillacs, and bikes and won numerous awards and trophies for his low rider bikes. His favorite passion was listening to music and hanging out with his friends and family. He was loved by many friends and his family. He was always making sure that his mother and sister, Angela, were taken care of. He loved his grandparents deeply. Eric looked up to his grandparents and his uncles, not only as grandparents and uncles, but as his other parents. His grandmother, Angelita, called him "her Gordito." He was preceded in death by both his great-grandfathers, Jose Sanchez and Pablo Espinosa, and his great-grandmother, Rumalda Espinosa. Survivors include his parents, Alfonso Rodriguez and Esther Espinosa, both of Dimmitt; two sisters, Angela Gomez of Dimmitt and Sally Caldera of Canton; three brothers, Eliseo Aguilar of Hagerman, N.M., Gabriel Rodriguez of Brighton, Colo., and Alfonso Rodriguez Jr. of Thornton, Colo.; his grandparents, Sam and Angelita Espinosa of Dimmitt; his great-grandmother, Viviana Sanchez of Corpus Christi; his uncles, Sam Espinosa Jr. and wife, Dora, of Dimmitt, Larry Espinosa and wife, Mary, of Hewitt and Paul Espinosa and wife, Rachel, of Amarillo; a nephew, Xavier Caldera of Canton; and his cousins, Samuel Espinosa of Dimmitt, Michael and Laura Espinosa of Hewitt and Bailey and Sabina Espinosa of Amarillo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Suzanne Peacher Glenn Suzanne Peacher Glenn, 45, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005. Memorial services will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen United Methodist Church West Campus with the Rev. Rusty Sieck officiating. Private family burial was held Saturday in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Ms. Glenn, daughter of Billy and Polly Peacher, was born in Clarksville, Tenn., on Sept. 16, 1959. Suzanne lived in Amarillo for the majority of her life. She graduated from Tascosa High School and attended Texas Tech and received her bachelor of science from West Texas A&M University. She brought abundant joy to all of the many whose lives she impacted, from her students in the library at Carver Elementary to all of her family and friends. She had an amazing passion for life, a fiery sense of humor, a kind and caring spirit and a love for reading. One of her dearest friends described her as "funny, witty, smart, compassionate, clever, cute and kind." Her motto was Life, Love and Laughter. One of Suzanne's most significant accomplishments was raising two beautiful and talented children, Benjamin and Beth Ann, whom she loved more than words can ever express. She was a founding member of St. Stephen's West Campus and the Lord blessed her with a wonderful church family and a close family of "birthday club" friends. She will be dearly missed but close to the hearts of all of those who loved her so. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Robert Field officiating. Mr. Stevens was born June 23, 1939, in Oakville, Wash., to Marion and Helen Farris Stevens. Mr. Stevens retired from the Army in 1971 after serving two tours in Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart and numerous other awards. He worked for Haliburton Industries. He married Shirley Wing Martin in 1984 in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Pam Putman of Lone Oak and Oakette Tatum of Nowata, Okla.; a son, Michael John Stevens of Bartlesville, Okla.; two sisters, Roberta Stevens of Marysville, Wash., and Sharon Delay of Grand Junction, Colo.; and four grandchildren, Nikki King of Amarillo and Judy, Gloria and Jeffrey Tatum, all of Nowata. Rodriguez, 67, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Rodriguez, loving husband, father and grandfather, died Friday. Mr. Rodriguez was born Dec. 30, 1937, in Terlingua to Thomas and Manuela Marufo Rodriguez. He served in the armed forces in Korea and was awarded an honorable discharge. Mr. Rodriguez owned and operated A and R Transport. Mr. Rodriguez married Annette Lanier on Nov. 22, 2003, in Amarillo. He and Annette married at First Baptist Church and had a special love for Dr. Batson and the church family. They were also blessed with the church family of Trinity Fellowship Church. Rod had a great joy in his relationship with the Lord. He had a humble and grateful spirit and treasured his family above all. His physical presence will be greatly missed but his beautiful spirit is soaring in the clouds above us. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Rodriguez and his previous wife, Dominga Rodriguez. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Weldon was born Dec. 10, 1952, in Pampa, where he had been a lifelong resident. He worked in the oilfield and operated a produce stand most of his life. He was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Fay Weldon in 1988, and a brother, Charlie Bob Weldon. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mary Elizabeth Ewing PANHANDLE - Mary Elizabeth Ewing, 96, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, in Amarillo. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Vernon and the Rev. Bill Fuller, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Miss Ewing was born on July 24, 1909, in Pendleton County, Ky. She moved to Carson County in January 1915 with her parents, Elmer and Mamie Ewing. She had resided at Garretson's since 1995. Miss Mary retired from teaching after 46 years, 40 of which were with Panhandle public schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Panhandle from 1934 until the time of her death. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Altrurian Club and a lifetime member of the P.T.A. and the Girl Scouts. She was a member of the following educational organizations: Texas State Teachers Association, National Education Association, National Retired Teachers Association, Texas Retired Teachers Association and the Panhandle Retired Teachers Association. In 1988, the Women's Forum recognized her with the Distinguished Women Service Award for Volunteerism. She was also given the 7 Who Care Award in April 1989. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mamie Ewing; five sisters, Dorothy Ewing Johnson, Norma Jane Ewing, Lillian Ewing Miller, Winnifred Ewing Penny and Juanita Ewing Stankey; three half sisters, Ellen Ewing Odell of Amarillo, Ethel Ewing Stienfort and Effie Ewing Marquart; a brother, Ted Harris Ewing; and two half brothers, Charles E. He was a retired logger and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Mrs. Wilson's body was donated to Texas Tech Medical School and will not be available for viewing. Mrs. Wilson was born May 14, 1924, in Wheeler. She was a school teacher for Pampa Independent School District, retiring after 17 years of service. Survivors include two sons, George Wayne Hawkins of Hillsboro, Ore., and Warren Hamill Wilson Jr., of Austin; a sister, Lucy Kilbreath of Lubbock; a brother, George Gordon of Monmouth, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Roy John Hoeffliger DALHART - Roy John Hoeffliger, 94, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005. Eddie Tubbs, pastor of First Baptist Church of Dumas, officiating. Burial was in Dumas Cemetery in Dumas. Mr. Harlow was born July 4, 1925, in Kingman, Kan. He was a resident of Dumas from 1955 through 1963. He graduated from Kingman High School and attended the University of Kansas. He served in the Army-V Corps European Theater in World War II. He and his wife, Billie Coles were married April 10, 1993, in Ute Park, N.M. From 1946 through 1955, he was loan officer and cashier for Perryton National Bank. From 1955 to 1963, he was charter stockholder, vice president, loan officer and on the board of directors for First National Bank of Dumas. From 1963 to 1966, he served as vice president, loan officer and board member for Central Share Bank of Wichita, Kan. From 1966 to 1975, he served as president and chairman of the board of Coffeyville State Bank of Coffeyville, Kan. Then he returned to Dumas from 1975 to 1993 before moving to Kingsland in Burnet County. His first wife, Doris L. Harlow, preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 1990. Survivors include his wife, Billie Harlow; two daughters, Terry Kim Harlow of Amarillo and Patty Mike Meyer of Dumas; a sister, Mary Curry Cohoon of Topeka, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Cynthia R. Lanahan and husband, retired Maj. Lenn Lanahan, of Round Rock; two grandchildren, Brittnee Meyer and Colby Meyer; and two stepgrandsons, Kayne Lanahan and Kyle Lanahan. He married Buelah Thomas on March 15, 1930. Mr. Hale was born March 19, 1936, in Guymon to Byron William Hale and Mabel Harvey Hale. He married Willie Maxine Fitzgerald on June 6, 1959, in Texhoma. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Byron William Hale of Oberlin, Kan., and Dustin Glen Hale of Texhoma; a daughter, Shannon Myrick of Nash; four siblings, Rex Hale and Herb Hale, both of Guymon, Jimmy Nichols of Penrose, Colo., and Tempie Rood of Oklahoma City; and two foster grandchildren. Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in Trinity Baptist Church with Milton Gage, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery by Greer Funeral Home. Ms. Veach was born June 12, 1945, to Les and Betty Jo Barrett Veach in Mangum. Betty moved back to Mangum two years ago from Amarillo, Texas, after retiring from teaching school and later working for High Plains Baptist Medical Center. As a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mangum, Betty played the piano for her church and volunteered her talents in assisting with the secretarial work at church when she was needed. Attending concerts, playing the piano and enjoying music were some of Betty's favorite things to do. Betty served as a volunteer in helping other people complete their taxes, was a member of Bi Sigma Phi in Altus and Amarillo and belonged to ESA in Mangum, but her first love was teaching children. Survivors include her parents of Mangum; a brother, L.
