Memorial services will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen United Methodist Church West Campus with the Rev. Rusty Sieck officiating. Private family burial was held Saturday in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Ms. Glenn, daughter of Billy and Polly Peacher, was born in Clarksville, Tenn., on Sept. 16, 1959. Suzanne lived in Amarillo for the majority of her life. She graduated from Tascosa High School and attended Texas Tech and received her bachelor of science from West Texas A&M University. She brought abundant joy to all of the many whose lives she impacted, from her students in the library at Carver Elementary to all of her family and friends. She had an amazing passion for life, a fiery sense of humor, a kind and caring spirit and a love for reading. One of her dearest friends described her as "funny, witty, smart, compassionate, clever, cute and kind." Her motto was Life, Love and Laughter. One of Suzanne's most significant accomplishments was raising two beautiful and talented children, Benjamin and Beth Ann, whom she loved more than words can ever express. She was a founding member of St. Stephen's West Campus and the Lord blessed her with a wonderful church family and a close family of "birthday club" friends. She will be dearly missed but close to the hearts of all of those who loved her so. Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. I Thessalonians 5:16-18. She was preceded in death by her mother, Polly. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Glenn of Amarillo; a son, Robert Benjamin Glenn IV of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Janet "Peaches" Homen and husband, Donny, of Amarillo and Jennifer Peacher DeLuca and husband, Graham, of Dallas; and her father, Billy Peacher of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, in care of Olivia's Angels, or to Carver Elementary Library. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Virginia Sadler Virginia Sadler, 61, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005. Arrangements are by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St. Mrs. Sadler was a native of Pittsburgh. She had been a resident of Amarillo for four years. Survivors include her husband, Jesse L. Brown Jr.; and three sons, James Sadler, John Fette and Robert Findling, all of Pittsburgh. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jason Riley Jason Riley, 42, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Riley, born Nov. 16, 1962, in Amarillo, graduated from Palo Duro High School. He worked as a Ford technician for 15 years. He had recently worked as a surgical tech at Northwest Texas Hospital. He was a loving husband, father and son. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Brown. Survivors include his wife, Diane; two sons, Jason Riley and Jared Riley, both of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Karman Morales and Brandi Rivali, both of Amarillo; his parents, Bill and Ann Riley of Amarillo; a sister, Kathy Hawley of San Antonio; three brothers, Joe Riley of Poplar Bluff, Mo., John Riley of Denver and Jeff Riley of Dallas; and three grandchildren, Joel, Gabriel and Sage, all of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Beryl Marie Gum Rimmel Beryl Marie Gum Rimmel, 87, of Amarillo, formerly of Hardesty, Okla., died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hartville Cemetery in Hardesty with the Rev. Don Calvert, pastor of Hardesty United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla. Mrs. Rimmel was born Aug. 23, 1918, near Hardesty. Her parents were Bessie Ingels Gum and Ernest G. Gum. She graduated from Hardesty High School and Panhandle A&M College in Goodwell. She married Alex G. Rimmel on Feb. 12, 1946. They lived in Hammond, Ind., and retired in Phoenix. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1998. She moved to Amarillo in September 2001 and resided at Craig Retirement Center. She was a member of Christ Church of the Valley in Phoenix and attended Craig Methodist Chapel. She was a homemaker, seamstress and avid sports fan who enjoyed life. She was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Survivors include a brother, Buster E. Gum of Texhoma, Okla., three nieces, Suzanne Labry of Burnet, Carolyn Whiteside of Amarillo and Shirley Smith of Elk City, Okla.; and six nephews, Kirk Williams of Happy, Gary Gum of Amarillo, Tim Gum of Kennesaw, Ga., Bruce Gum of Guymon, Jerry Gum of Hardesty and Ted Gum of Gruver. Rodriguez, 67, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Rodriguez, loving husband, father and grandfather, died Friday. Mr. Rodriguez was born Dec. 30, 1937, in Terlingua to Thomas and Manuela Marufo Rodriguez. He served in the armed forces in Korea and was awarded an honorable discharge. Mr. Rodriguez owned and operated A and R Transport. Mr. Rodriguez married Annette Lanier on Nov. 22, 2003, in Amarillo. He and Annette married at First Baptist Church and had a special love for Dr. Batson and the church family. They were also blessed with the church family of Trinity Fellowship Church. Rod had a great joy in his relationship with the Lord. He had a humble and grateful spirit and treasured his family above all. His physical presence will be greatly missed but his beautiful spirit is soaring in the clouds above us. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Rodriguez and his previous wife, Dominga Rodriguez. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Ms. Scott was born in Elk City, Okla., on Oct. 3, 1926, to Ernest and Nellie Plemons. She worked in healthcare for many years in Oklahoma and Texas. She was a loving Mother and Grannie. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by a sister; two brothers; three grandchildren; and her parents. Survivors include a son, Clifford Axton of Amarillo; three daughters, Elizabeth Lewallan of Amarillo, Glenda Savage of Claremore, Okla., and Judy Kidd of Piedmont, Okla.; two sisters, Wynema Kennemer and Shiley Killman, both of Texas; four brothers, Thomas Fred Plemons of Missouri, Joe Ben Wray and Wesley Wray, both of Texas, and Bud Wray of Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kenneth H. Mr. Vines was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Kenneth H. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Mrs. Richardson was born March 27, 1920, in Woodson to Edgar and Martha Garner. She married Hardy Richardson on Oct. 19, 1945, in Jayton. Hardy preceded her in death in 1973. Survivors include a son, Carlton Richardson and wife, Gail, of Hereford; two daughters, Carlean Turner and husband, Ron, of Gilmer and Lue Griffith of Dimmitt; a sister, Ann Tucker of Winslow, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Mark and Gail Smith and Monty Daffern officiating. Burial will be in Boise City Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary. Mrs. Thrall was born April 14, 1937, in De Queen, Ark., to Dewey Mitchell Daffern and Hazel Marie Willis Daffern. She married Carl Thrall on April 4, 1957, in Clayton, N.M., at the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of Felt; two son, Terry Thrall of Boise City and Tom Thrall of Casper, Wyo.; two daughters, Debra Pierce and Lisa Henley, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; and eight grandchildren. Garrett Jr. LA PORTE - Henry R. Garrett Jr., 78, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Bayshore Baptist Church. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery and Memorial Park in Pasadena by Grand View Funeral Home. Mr. Garrett served in the Army during World War II. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Daniels and Nancy Vick; a son, Mike Garrett; a sister, Louise; a brother, Alfred Garrett; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laura Orlene Frye Miller PIPERSVILLE, PA. - Laura Orlene Frye Miller, 80, formerly of Amarillo, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005. Memorial services will be held in Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Amarillo. Her ashes will be laid to rest beside her husband in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Auer Memorial Home and Cremation Services of Harrisburg. Mrs. Miller died peacefully in her sleep on Friday at her daughter's home in Pipersville. Born in Hereford, Texas, on Oct. 19, 1924, she was one of seven children of Adolph and Emma Frye and was the wife of John Raymond Miller, a World War II veteran, until his death in 1979. Laura graduated from high school in Canyon, Texas, attended nurse's training at Northwest Texas Hospital and worked as a practical nurse at hospitals, doctors' offices and other facilities for more than 45 years. She was last employed by Bivins Memorial Nursing Home in the physical therapy department. Laura was an avid reader and bird and animal lover. In her youth, she was a runner and played tennis, and in later years, she loved to bowl. Survivors include her children, Larry K. Miller and wife, Carol, of Amarillo and her son, Joseph, and Delana Woodward and husband, Jerry, of Pipersville; a grandson, A. Evan Woodward of Chicago; a granddaughter, Jenna Laura Woodward of California; a brother, David M. Frye of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Genevieve Miller of Dawn, Texas; and a niece, Paula Frye Bearden of Corpus Christi, Texas, who she raised for several years. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
