Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Calvin Newton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors. Survivors include two sons, Gene Mason of Dumas and Tom Mason of Olympia, Wash.; four daughters, Rosalie Overbay, Joan Savage and Judith Parker, all of Borger, and Jo Mason of Oklahoma City; a brother, John Bayless of Dumas; two sisters, Daisy Nicholson of Wichita, Kan., and Eva Hornbaker of Marlborough, Mass.; and 10 grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Westlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Terry Stegall of Grace Fellowship Church officiating. Arrangements are by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. McGill was a warehouse supervisor and a resident of Borger for 45 years. Survivors include a son, Justin McGill of Borger; a daughter, Alison Bouldin of Borger; a brother, Michael McGill of Decatur, Ind.; and four grandchildren. Perley FRITCH - Fred H. Perley, 86, of Fritch died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Perley was an Army veteran of World War II and retired as a pumper for AMOCO. Survivors include his wife, Diane Perley of Amarillo; a son, Howard Perley; two nephews, Herb Perley and Ed Perley, both of Garrison; and two nieces, Norma Louise Baker and Jolee Timm, both of Oregon. Mrs. Taylor was born Aug. 8, 1935. She belonged to the First Assembly of God Church in Stinnett and retired as a stocker and clerk for Albertson's. Survivors include her husband; a son, George Donald Taylor Jr. of Amarillo; four sisters, Thelma "Doolie" Snow of Sevierville, Tenn., Billie June Wilson of Austin, Mary Avis Smith of Mineral Wells and Dovie Ann Barrett of Canyon; and a brother, Walter Eugene Scott Jr. of Amarillo. Burial will be in Stinnett Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Swan was born on March 3, 1930, in Calera, Okla. She married Jim Calvin Swan on March 26, 1948, in Borger. Survivors include a son, Jim Swan and wife, Kim, of Plainview; three daughters, Debra Roberts of Stinnett, Linda Jackson of Fritch and Kim Campbell of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a brother, James Scott of Little Rock, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Kirkpatrick, interim minister of First Christian Church, and Gene Shelburne, minister of Anna Street Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Bridwell was born March 14, 1922, in St. Thomas, Ontario. She was educated and employed in Windsor, Ontario, until her marriage 59 years ago to John Bridwell. She was devoted throughout her life to her faith, her church and the many activities in which she participated. It was for her a source of guidance and friendship that she cherished, and her role as a minister's wife for almost 60 years was one that both brought her great joy and brought people an incredible example of faith to follow. She was wholly devoted to the family that she loved. She and her husband were, and always will be, the couple that fit together perfectly, and their life together produced much joy and happiness for the people around them. She was the most wonderful mother, Gram, and friend. She will be missed but will be in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Mrs. Bridwell was preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Mattie Webb; and her brother, the Rev. Maxwell J. Webb. Survivors include her husband and best friend, the Rev. Dr. John B. Bridwell; a daughter, Elizabeth Hermann and husband, Larry; a son, Timothy Bridwell and wife, Mary Helen Forbes; and three granddaughters, Lane Hermann, Lauren Hermann and Carey Bridwell. Mrs. Alford was born on March 22, 1916, in Vinson, Okla., to Joe and Ida Jackson. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Alford; a daughter, Peggy Koetting; a son, Charlie Alford; and a son-in-law, Joe Meyer. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Schooler Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Dotson, Mrs. Bales' brother, and Bill Crenshaw, Mrs. Bales' son-in-law, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Bales was born on June 22, 1918, in the Star Community, Okla., to DeWitt and Jessie Morgan as the third of 11 children. She graduated valedictorian of Mountain View High School in 1936 and graduated with honors from Hillcrest Nursing School. She married Evert Bales on May 27, 1941, and lived and worked on farms in Oklahoma and Texas most of her married life of 54 years. She was saved at an early age at Missionary Baptist Church in Star, Okla., and served the Lord in church wherever she lived. She loved missions and working with children and seeing people come to know the Lord as personal Savior. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church at the time of her death. Mrs. Bales had a passion for people in nursing homes and spent many hours writing cards and letters and taking a "single" rose to someone. She loved her family. She loved flowers and worked hard to have a beatiful yard, flowers and plants until the day she got sick. Her hobby was reading and cutting articles from newspapers and passing them on to family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters and two brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Crenshaw and husband, Bill, of Canyon; two sons, David Bales and wife, Johnnie, and Bob Bales and wife, Frankie, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Coleta Stinson of Fay, Okla., and Ellen Kilday of California; two brothers, Tyke Morgan of Cordell, Okla., and Sam Morgan of Whitesboro; many nieces and nephews; six married grandchildren; and 14 great- grandchildren. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Rivera was born Dec. 8, 1964, in Plainview to Carlos and Consuelo Medina Rivera of Plainview. He married Josie Soliz on July 3, 1983, in Plainview. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jennifer Rivera of Grapevine, Stephanie Rivera and Ariel Rivera, both of Plainview; a son, Christopher Rivera of Grapevine; three brothers, Carlos Rivera of Plainview, Ramon Rivera of Arlington and Daniel Rivera of Lubbock; three sisters, Yolanda Rivera and Mary Landeros, both of Plainview, and JaAnn Cheeks of Abilene; and two grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Debbie Morgan WICHITA FALLS - Debbie Morgan, 50, of Wichita Falls, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005. The family will be available for visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Faith Baptist Church of Wichita Falls with the Rev. Dr. Scott Willingham, pastor, and the Rev. Jim McCurley of Abilene officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park by Owens & Brumley Funeral Home. Mrs. Morgan was born Dec. 2, 1954, in Wichita Falls. On July 15, 1978, she married Robert Morgan in Wichita Falls. A graduate of Altus High School, she graduated from Midwestern State Univeristy with an associate degree in 1978. In 1993, she earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. In 1995, she earned a master of science degree in nursing from West Texas A&M University in Canyon and in 2001 earned her doctorate of education administration from Baylor University in Waco. She worked as an assistant professor at the Wilson School of Nursing and as the interim director of nursing at Midwestern State University. She was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and the Wichita Falls/Wichita County Board of Health. A faithful Christian, she was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. Her ministry in Christ touched many during her years as a leader of women's Bible studies, Sunday School classes and mission trips. Mrs. Morgan also taught Vacation Bible School for all of her adult life. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Joe Smith, in 1997. Survivors include her husband of 27 years; her children, Michael Morgan and Ashlee Morgan, both of Wichita Falls; her parents, Cecil and Wanda Smith of Wichita Falls; four sisters, Cecilia Torres and husband, Gilbert, of Margaret, Pam Forsythe and husband, Gary, of Franklin, Tenn., Carla McCaffity of Wichita Falls and Karen Alexander and husband, Stanley, of Electra; and many nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be some of her nephews, Larry Smith, Chris Smith, Blake Burroughs, John Taras, Matthew Taras and Clayton Shaw.
