Private family services were held in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Walter. Survivors include a daughter, Bea Samu and husband, Ernie, of Ventura, Calif.; grandchildren, Beverly Lebus and husband, Chris, of Monrovia, Calif., Sue McCown of Springfield, Mo., Elizabeth Schoeni and husband, Jeff, of Monrovia and Max McNutt and wife, Donna, of Santa Paula, Calif.; and seven great- grandchildren. Tania was born May 23, 1955, in San Jose, Calif., and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include companion, Ronnie Lynn Rigdon of Amarillo; a daughter, Bradie Elizabeth Walker of Phoenix; a son, Bill Hooper of Amarillo; and two grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ouida Claire Kramer Ouida Claire Kramer, 88, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005. A private memorial service will be held in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. Burial will be at a later date in Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas. Mrs. Kramer was born Nov. 9, 1916, in Dallas to William and Susan Kenton. She was a graduate of North Dallas High School. She married Louis Frederick Kramer on Oct. 8, 1939, in New Orleans. She moved to Amarillo in 1975 and has been a resident for the last 30 years. She attended Central Church of Christ for many years. She worked for Barnes Jewelry and did volunteer work at Quail Creek Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother, Elwin Kenton. Survivors include a son, Paul Kramer and wife, Betty, of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Steven Kramer of Lubbock and Laura Hinojosa of Lubbock; and two great-grandchildren, Miranda Hinojosa and Alyssa Hinojosa, both of Lubbock. Holtzclaw, 68, of Amarillo died Sunday Sept. 25, 2005. Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Howard Batson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Military rites will be by the Veterans Foreign Wars Post No. 430. Mr. Holtzclaw was born Sept. 16, 1937, in Goodnight to John Daniel and Afton Holtzclaw. Graduating from Dumas High School in 1956, he earned a bachelor of science degree and then a master's degree in counseling from West Texas State University in Canyon. Donald married Jessie Grace Wilkins on Aug. 22, 1959, in Canyon, and they moved to Amarillo that year. Donald was employed by the Amarillo Independent School District for 33 years, 20 of those as a counselor at Bonham. He officiated football for 33 years and basketball for a number of years, he also taught behind-the-wheel drivers education for over 40 years. He was an avid golfer. Donald was a member and served as deacon at First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Greg, in 1967. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debbie Holtzclaw of Amarillo; a son, J. D. Holtzclaw of Ozark, Mo., a brother, Doug Holtzclaw of Goldwaite; and six grandchildren, Chipper. Austin, Ashlynne, Addisson, Autumn and Aimee. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating. Mrs. Mitchell was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Petersburg. She married Roy E. Mitchell Jr. and moved to Amarillo in 1945, where they reared four daughters and a son. Mrs. Mitchell was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, where she was involved in multiple areas of service and community work. She served as secretary for the Ostomy Association. She will be remembered for her strong faith in God and her positive outlook on life. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary E. Mitchell. Survivors include her husband of 64 years; four daughters, Darlene Calder of Ponder, Sharron Bueno and Sandra Slattery, both of Amarillo, and Kim Sanchez of Austin; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Niki Winslow of Monmouth, Ore. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hervie McCoy Rogers Hervie McCoy Rogers, 84, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005. Mr. Rogers was born March 17, 1921, to Alf Rogers and Annie Mae Hicks in Dyersburg, Tenn. He lived in Amarillo the past 60 years and was married to Wilma Allene Dugan. Mr. Rogers was a self-employed cement contractor in Amarillo and California and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Carpenters Local No. 665 and the Will Rogers Range Riders. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sue Worley, a brother, James Rogers, a daughter, Diann Burns, and three grandchildren, Wendy, Charles and Jason. DORIS TENNY Doris Tenny, 79, of Amarillo died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Tenny was born Sept. 23, 1926, at Spade to Frances and David Parker. She was married to Jack Leon Sanders from Sept. 26, 1942, until his death on Oct. 3, 1972. She married John F. Tenny on Jan. 4, 1974. Over the years she worked for General Telephone Co. and Southwestern Bell. She also was a trucking owner and operator as well as an operator of a recreational park. She enjoyed family activities, square dancing, traveling and volunteering at long-term care facilities. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kay Sanders Hudson of Amarillo; two sons, Don Sanders of Bloomfield, N.M., and Darwin Sanders of Granbury; two stepchildren, John F. Carolyn Bonnette Kite was born Jan. 25, 1940, at Beaumont to Aubrey and Elizabeth Lea Bonnette. She graduated from Sour Lake High School in 1957. She taught at the state school for girls in Gainesville in 1960 and married Kirk Kite on Sept. 3, 1961, at Gainesville. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1962 with a bachelor's degree in music and later graduated from West Texas State University with a master's degree. She taught music in the Friona ISD in 1962-1963 and then in Amarillo ISD until her retirement in 1995. She was an active member of Canyon Fine Arts Club and the Sue Hite Study Club, and she played the piano for Canyon Rotary Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon where she played the piano, taught Sunday school, and was involved in prayer ministry. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Kirk Kite; a brother, David Bonnette of Katy; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and her beloved pet dog, Casey. Mrs. Bourquin was born Oct. 3, 1914, in Gage, Okla., to Edward and Nellie Hasket Baxter. She married Edward Bourquin on Jan. 20, 1934. Box 909, Laverne, OK 73848. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert Ernest Clark Jr. MEMPHIS - Dr. Robert Ernest Clark Jr., 75, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. O.K. Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis. Dr. Clark was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Dallas to Robert Clark Sr. and Katherine Freeman Clark. He grew up in Memphis and graduated from Memphis High School in 1945. He graduated from Baylor University in Waco in 1949 and went on to graduate from Baylor Medical School in Houston in 1953. Dr. Clark married Marty Uebersetzig on April 26, 1952, in Houston. He served his internship at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. In 1954, they moved to Memphis, where he opened his private practice, Clark Clinic. Dr. Clark retired in 2001 after many years of dedicated service to the residents of Hall County. He was a Mason and was involved in the Memphis Rotary Club. He was on the school board for many years, serving as president. Dr. Clark was a pilot and a HAM Radio operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Bill Clark in 1989. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Martha Britton of Plano; four sons, Dr. Robert Clark III and James Clark, both of Memphis, David Clark of Jacksonville and Richard Clark of Cypress; a brother, John Clark of Michigan; eight grandchildren; a cousin, Ann Brother of Lorenzo; and a host of nieces and nephews. Ms. Morrison was born on Sept. 25, 1956, in Greenville, Miss., and was a Moore County resident most of her life. She was a medical assistant. She was a member of Grace Thru Faith Fellowship Church. She graduated from Sunray High School and was an active participant in Ladies Golf Association. She loved her Bible study classes and was very involved in Moore County Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. After a long and courageous battle, she was called home to the Lord. Through it all, she had many blessings and touched the lives of all those fortunate enough to know her because to know her was to love her. Angie’s faith remained strong and her courage was an inspiration to all those in her life. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and special Gran and the best friend anyone could wish for and will be missed greatly. The love of her life was her grandchildren, children, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Monk Cooper in 1980 and her grandmother, Ethel Boone in 1998. Goodrich, 82, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Gary Gumfory officiating. Burial will be in Gruver Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Inc. of Spearman. Mrs. Goodrich was born Oct. 3, 1922, and has lived in the area since 1951. She married Howard H. Goodrich on Nov. 15, 1939, in Clinton, Mo. She worked as a cook in the Gruver school cafeteria for 12 years and taught Sunday School for 25 years at First Christian Church of Gruver. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999 and her parents, Homer and Nell Anders. Survivors include three daughters, Deanna Kenney and Virginia Martin, both of Spearman, and Nell Frame of Longmont, Colo.; a son, Eddie Goodrich of Perryton; a brother, Kenneth Anders of Yuma, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A wake will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church with the Rev. John Valdez officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home of Hereford. Mr. Marnell was born May 23, 1918, in Ranchvale, N.M., the son of Walter and Elizabeth Marnell. He was a veteran, having served in the Army Air Corps during WW II, where he fought in many battles including the Rhineland Campaign, the Tunisia Campaign, the Sicily Campaign, the Naples-Foggia Campaign, the Rome-Arno Campaign, the Southern France Campaign and the North Apennines Campaign. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the E.A.M.E. Campaign Medal with seven Bronze Stars. Upon his discharge from the service, Speck married Edna Wilhem on Nov.5, 1946, in Hereford, where he farmed for many years. In 1968, Speck was voted the “Comeback Farmer of the Year” in Deaf Smith County. On May 24, 2003, Speck was named “Pioneer of the Year” during the annual Mid-Plains Pioneer Celebration in Hereford. He was a lifetime member of the Hereford American Legion and a member of the Hereford VFW lodge. After retiring from farming, Speck was the caretaker for St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery for over 10 years and was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hereford. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Edna; two sons, David Marnell and wife, Dianne, of Rossville, Tenn., Tom “T.J.” Marnell and wife, Lisa, of Amarillo; three daughters, Joan Minks and husband, Larry, of Claremore, Okla., Dorie “Dorothy” Marnell of Dallas,Chris Hartley and husband, Alton, of Hereford; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A celebration of Bruce’s life will be Saturday, Oct. 8 at 2:30 p.m. at Granbury Church of God. Surrounded by family, Bruce “Jeep” Harlan Fowler walked into the arms of Jesus on September 22, 2005 at 10:28 p.m. as his family released him from theirs. Bruce painted his way into the homes and hearts of many people in the community. He was a compassionate and loving man who touched many lives. He dearly loved his children, gardening, afternoon coffee on the porch with his wife, UT football and feeding the birds. He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Seless Fowler, brother James Fowler and granddaughter Halie Diggs. He leaves behind his wife, Maria Fowler, though married only a few short years, packed immeasurable love and adventure into that time; his children Bruce Fowler, Jr. of Azle, Monte Diggs of Round Rock and Connie Slagle and Janelle Vanderford, both of Amarillo; four stepchildren; 21 grandchildren; four brothers, Tommy Fowler and Dale Fowler, both of Granbury, and Mack Fowler and David “Butch” Fowler, both of Amarillo. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
