Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Central Church of Christ auditorium with Dr. Dan Bouchelle, minister, officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Woodman Cemetery in Mount Pleasant with Larry Bilbo, minister of Southside Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. James was born July 18, 1943, in Comfort to James and Lydia Goforth. He graduated from the University of Texas and from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis. He served his internship at Johns Hopkins and his residency at Southwestern in Dallas. He served in the U. S. Army as a Major for two years. He had been a practicing pathologist in Amarillo since 1974. He was past president of the Baptist St. Anthony's Medical Staff. Jim loved to hunt and fish. He was extremely loving and caring for all his family and friends. He married Brenda Lee on Nov. 20, 1971, in Mount Pleasant. . Survivors include his wife, Brenda; a daughter, Nicole Leigh Goforth of Houston; a son, Clint, and his wife, Julia Rittenberry Goforth, of Amarillo; a grandson, Knox Austin Goforth of Amarillo; a sister, Katherine and her husband, Ted Masser, of Fredericksburg; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Maurine Lee of Mount Pleasant; two sisters-in-law, Jonette McCarty of Dallas and Laura Lee of Mount Pleasant; three brothers-in-law, Mike McCarty of Dallas, Bill Lee of Mount Pleasant, and Mark Lee of Austin; three nieces, Tara Masser Phillips and her husband, Bryan, of Fredericksburg, Meredith McCarthy Winezewski and her husband, T.J., of Houston, and Ashley McCarthy of Houston; and three nephews, Tres Masser of Austin, Joshua Lee of Mount Pleasant, and Andrew Lee of Mount Pleasant. Breen and Basil Bland. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Memphis. Brooks, 87, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Etoile S. Brooks, 87, passed from this life to enter the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, in Oklahoma City. She was born April 9, 1918, in Hillsboro to Andrew Jackson Smallwood and Mary Haggard Smallwood. Etoile married her longtime sweetheart, Harold T. Brooks, on May 16, 1941, in Dallas. Together they raised four children: Michael Harold Brooks, Richard Shane Brooks, Patricia Brooks Hershey and Susan Brooks. Etoile was a member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo since 1955. Every life she came into contact with was touched by her warm and loving nature. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and their son, Michael. Survivors include her son, Richard S. Brooks of Amarillo; two daughters, Patricia Hershey of Parker, Colo., and Susan Brooks of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Shane Michael Brooks of Austin, Stephen Michael Hershey of Phoenix and Kristin Leigh Hershey of Boulder, Colo. Mr. Jackson was born April 1, 1923, in Shidler, Okla. He married Dorothy Hancock, and later married Winnie Burrell Hughlett in 1979 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on May 15, 2005. He was a former resident of Borger and Pampa, moving to Amarillo in 2003. He was a member of Briarwood Full Gospel Church in Pampa, and currently attended the First Assembly of God Church on Bell Street in Amarillo. He was a member of Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 966, Pampa Shrine Club, Khiva Shrine Temple in Amarillo, El Paso Scottish Rite Consistory, and Knights Templar. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Grace Beckman Boyd was born Jan. 24, 1912, in Umbarger to Joseph and Sophrona Eichost Beckman. She graduated from Umbarger High School and St. Mary's Academy in Amarillo. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She married James E. Boyd Sr. in 1928 in Canyon. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Grace Boyd Justin, in 1994. Survivors include three daughters, Elvira Boyd Evans of Katy, Frances Boyd Yows of Aurora, Colo., and Jimi Boyd Funk of Canyon; a son, James Boyd Jr. of Malone; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Elsie Manuella Blair PAMPA - Elsie Manuella Blair, 95, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005. Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Doke of Valrico, Fla., Jean Miller and Sheila Broadbent, both of Pampa; a son, Tommy Downs of Pampa; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elverd "Ozz" Fisk DUMAS - Elverd "Ozz" Fisk, 65, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005. Mr. Fisk was born June 10, 1940. He married Marilyn Mosteller on June 3, 1960, in Dumas. He was a resident of Dumas for 39 years. After retiring from Duke Energy with 29 years of service, he worked for the city of Dumas for more than 11 years while serving as a volunteer firefighter. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debbie Stevenson and husband, Alton, of Clyde; a son, Billy Fisk and wife, Sandy, of Dumas; three sisters, May Holland and husband, Carl, of Tyler, Berdena Morrison and husband, Joe Ray, of Joshua and Thenia O'Bryant of Chickasha, Okla.; two brothers, Aubrey Fisk and wife, Linda, and Glenn Fisk, all of Mineola; 11 grandchildren, Colby Stevenson, Trenton Stevenson, Jennifer Fisk, Kyle Stevenson, B.J. Mr. Keener was born Nov. 30, 1949, in Borger. He was a roustabout in the oil fields. Survivors include his mother and stepather, Norma and Robert Hillman of Amarillo; an uncle; and several cousins. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jack Lisle SHAMROCK - Jack Lisle, 87, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, in Elk City, Okla. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Jack Lisle was born Oct. 14, 1917, in Shamrock to William Manson and Myrtle Mae Hanna Lisle. He married Alpha Skinner on Sept. 7, 1977, in Shamrock. He lived in Wheeler County all his life and retired from Ashland Chemical after 26 years. He was a farmer and rancher and participated in rodeos for many years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Jewel Barnett Lisle; two sons, Manson Lisle and Gilford Lisle; a sister, Billie Cash; and a granddaughter, Angel Lisle. Survivors include his wife, Alpha Lisle; five sons, W.J. Mr. Steadman was born June 23, 1912, in Arkansas to Jasper Steadman and Blanche Galpen Steadman. He married June Steadman on Aug. 15, 1963, in Canadian. Survivors include five sons, Richard C. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Torres was born July 3, 1911, in Lytle, the daughter of Carlos and Anselma Villarreal. She married Natividad Torres Sr. on Sept. 21, 1933. He preceded her in death in 1967. Mrs. Torres was a homemaker, a member of the Guadalupanas and a member of Iglesia Catolica De San Jose. She was preceded in death by her husband, four sons, a daughter, three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include two sons, Natividad Torres Jr. of Hereford and Theodore Torres of Houston; three daughters, Rose Moya of Hereford, Teresa Cuellar of Foley, Ala., and Mary Trevino of Lubbock; 39 grandchildren; 72 great- grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mitzelfelt was born Jan. 29, 1909, in Middlegrove, Ill., to Ora and Isabella Wilson Morse. She married A.R. "Arthur" Mitzelfelt on March 13, 1933, in Moline, Ill. He was a contractor who specialized in Southwest design. Samuel was born May 2, 1993, to Neil Dwight and Cynthia Gamble Kuni in Waukegan, Ill. He was a member of Faith Christian Family Church and was very active in the Youth Group. Mrs. Garrett was born Oct. 19, 1915, in Harper to Nancy Rose Sagerser and John Phillip Mabry. She wrote commercials for a local radio station, worked for Production Credit and was an abstracter for a local title company for many years.
