Services will be at 10 a.m. today in South Lawn Baptist Church with Greg Kinch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Roddam was born April 1, 1919, in Cade, Okla., to Rollins and Molly Spence. She became a Christian at an early age and was baptized in Shawnee Creek. She married M.H. Roddam on March 27, 1943. She was a faithful church member and loved her church family at South Lawn Baptist Church. Mary was a wonderful and loving mother and Mamaw and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974; a daughter, Lois Nelson in 1988; four brothers and six sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Peck and Jannette Sooter and husband, Charles, all of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Jackie Padgett, Jennifer Higley, Brenda Covel and Becky Coker, all of Amarillo, Jessica Young of Fort Smith, Ark., Jeff Peck of Wichita Falls, Robin Patterson of Spring Port, Mich., and Wally Nelson of Salt Lake City; 15 great-grandchildren; five great- great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Pierce of Huntington Beach, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, Johnny Spence of Bokchito, Okla. Washington St., Amarillo, TX 79110. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bill Whitlow Bill Whitlow, 54, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, in Oldham County. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel in Canyon with Dr. David Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery in Happy. Mr. Whitlow was born June 19, 1951, in Amarillo to Dale and Fredda Magness Whitlow. He was raised in Happy and graduated from Happy High School in 1970. He was a past member of Happy Jaycees. Survivors include two sons, Jason Whitlow of Perryton and Jeremy Whitlow, and wife, Vanessa, of Amarillo; a sister, Janis Ramaekers, and husband, Glenn, of Canyon; a brother, Jim Whitlow, and wife, Larae, of Happy; a special "friend," Debbie Mays of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Caitlin Fay Whitlow and Cheyenne Whitlow; four nieces; and two nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wendell Horn, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Levelland, and the Rev. Larry Holder, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Olton, officiating. Burial will be in Olton Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Olton. Mr. Hardcastle was born Dec. 4, 1944, in Birmingham, Ala. He married Tina Dennis on July 23, 1986, in Sachse. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Chas Hardcastle and Robby Hardcastle, both of Olton; a daughter, Amanda Hardcastle of Olton; and a brother, J.E. Hardcastle of Pelham, Ala. Weatherly PAMPA - James T. Weatherly, 82, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, in Brownwood. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with a Jehovah's Witness minister officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Mr. Weatherly was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving as nose gunner of a B-24, during World War II. He was a foreman for PepCo for 6 years and was a former member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, James Eugene Weatherly of Alexandria, Va., and Daniel Maurice Weatherly of Brownwood; four grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lola Cook BORGER - Lola Cook, 100, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Cook was born Aug. 30, 1905, in Little Rock, Ark. She was a longtime Borger resident, a waitress and attended First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Brunkhorst of Irving and Martie M. Heflin of Arlington; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great- great-granchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Julia Castillo WELLINGTON - Julia Castillo, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Ms. Castillo was born May 15, 1920, in Mexico to Antonio Castillo and Josephine Flores Castillo. She came to Wellington in 1992. Survivors include her brother, Ramon Castillo of Wellington. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- James Ray Harris DALHART - James Ray Harris, 30, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, in Amarillo. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with Craig Fuller, minister of New Life Fellowship Church in Dalhart, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart. Mr. Harris was born May 30, 1975, in Idabel, Okla., to James and Lutherine Lyons Harris. He married Marti Gonzalez on Aug. 30, 1996. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Harris and Jacob Harris, both of Dalhart; a daughter, Kyli Harris of Dalhart; and two brothers, Charles Johnson of Waco and Terrell Johnson of Fort Worth. The family suggests memorials be to the Harris family in care of Horizon Funeral Home, 701 Elm Ave., Dalhart, TX 79022. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elsewhere Edward "Ed" Louis Pauwels LUBBOCK - Edward "Ed" Louis Pauwels, 82, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Monterrey Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Agape Funeral Chapel. Mr. Pauwels was born Nov. 25, 1922, in Charleroi, Penn. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater from July 1942 through June 1945. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Alyce; a daughter, Lynda Osborn of Oklahoma City; two sons, Steven Pauwels of Dumas and Kevin Pauwels of Lubbock; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, John Pauwels of Arizona; and two sisters, Elaine Mitchell of Michigan and Janet Grossi of Pennsylvania. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
