Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St., with John Love, associate pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Mrs. Olson was born in Ada, Okla. She moved to Amarillo in 1976 from Oakland, Calif. She worked as a data processor at St. Anthony's Hospital for 14 years. She retired in 1990 as the director of data processing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Maude Jackson; a sister, Irene Cox; and a brother-in-law, Arno Cox. Survivors include two sisters, Gladys Stone of Cedar Creek Lake and Barbara Adams and husband, C.D., of Amarillo; a brother, Robert "Bob" Jackson and wife, Edna, of Odessa; and numerous nieces and nephews. Steelman, 92, of Amarillo died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Ms. Steelman was a schoolteacher and had a positive influence on many children. She taught for more than 50 years. Survivors include a son, Gayle Steelman of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Donna Graham of Waco; three grandchildren, Walter Steelman and Brenda Steelman, both of Amarillo, and James Steelman of Seattle; and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Amarillo Public Library. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sallie Maline Northen Watson Sallie Maline Northen Watson, 94, of Amarillo died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, in Dimmitt. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Rusty Dickerson, senior pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Watson was born in Dimmitt on Dec. 18, 1910. She lived there her early years until moving to Amarillo in 1942. Mrs. Watson was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. as an operator for 31 1/2 years, retiring in 1974. She married R.D. Northen in Clovis, N.M., in 1947. He died in August 1962. Then after several years, she married O'Neal Watson in Pampa on Dec. 31, 1978. He died after a long illness on Feb. 10, 1994. She was a china painter and involved in the Telephone Pioneer Club, Amarillo Garden Club and the Heritage Antique Club. She was a longtime volunteer with the St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary with a service pin award of 6,000 hours. She was also a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church and the Vaughn- Selby Coworkers Sunday school class. Survivors include a niece, Dorothy Mae Draper and husband, Milt, of Tahoka; a nephew, Donald J. Wright and wife, Katy, of Dimmitt; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Webb, 84, of Amarillo died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with Dr. Charles Jones, pastor of Hollywood Road Community Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Webb was born Dec. 11, 1920, in Hardeman County to Louis Ben Webb and Sarah Box Webb. He married Lucille Ricketts on Oct. 12, 1940. She preceded him in death on Oct. 13, 1995. A daughter, Cheryl Blasingame, also preceded him in death on May 11, 1998. Mr. Webb worked in management for 32 years for Southwestern Bell Telephone. He was a member of the SBT Pioneers. He served with the Army during World War II. He spent the last 25 years ranching in New Mexico, south of Clayton. Mr. Webb married Madeline Hardin Jeffress on Jan. 24, 1998. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mike Webb and wife, Carol, of Amarillo; a brother, O.B. Webb of Idaho; a stepdaughter, Barbara J. Richardson of Perryton; four grandchildren, Brian Blasingame and wife, Christina, Brandon Blasingame and wife, Gena, April Webb Duffy and Shawn Webb and wife, Carly; two stepgrandchildren, Cody Richardson and Mindy Trujillo and husband, Paul; and seven great-grandchildren, Kevin, Katie, Jake, Haley, Brooke, Sara and Erin. Howard PAMPA - Wayne L. Howard, 63, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, in Amarillo. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Cowboy Church in Amarillo with Ty Jones, pastor, and Butch Hearon of Booker Friends Church officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St., Amarillo. Mr. Howard died Friday, Oct. 14, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Amarillo. Mr. Howard was born in Shattuck, Okla. He was raised in Booker and graduated from Booker High School. He moved to Pampa in 1972. Mr. Howard worked as a cowboy for Cockrell Feed Lot, Tejas Cattle Feeders and the McLean Feed Lot. He also worked at the J.T. Johnson Ranch in Mobeetie and the Bill Stockstill Ranch at Hoover. He married Fonda Avery Wheless in 1974 in Pampa and was a member of Cowboy Church in Amarillo. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Vinita Howard; a brother, Wendell Howard; and two sons, Shad and Justin. Survivors include: his wife; two sons, Waylon Howard and wife, Shawna, and Don Ray Howard and fiancÈe, Windi Early, all of Pampa; three daughters, Patricia Wyant and husband, Sam, of Pampa, Beverly Kerlee and husband, Russell, of Justin and Donna Prieb and special friend, Ken Odle, of Lincoln, Neb.; a sister, Connie Rabe and husband, Bill, of Booker; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Stump DUMAS - Harmon F. Stump, 93, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bethel Assembly of God Church in Dumas with the Rev. Rex Kreusel, pastor, officiating and the Rev. H.L. Stevens, retired minister of Dumas Assembly of God, assisting. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors with flag detail by American Legion Post 224 of Dumas. Mr. Stump, resident of Dumas, passed away on Oct. 13, to be with the Lord in His Kingdom at the age of 93. Harmon passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 29, 1912, in Waka. He attended Hardesty High School until 1930, when he went to work for his father on the family farm. Harmon then moved to Coyote, Calif., where he worked on the Grosbeck Ranch until he was inducted into the armed service in 1941. Harmon served his country proudly in World War II with the Battery C 47th Armored Field Artillery Battalion as a radio repairman. Harmon would receive and transmit messages by use of Morse Code and some voice. He served in Africa, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He also received certificates, ribbons and medals for his service in battles and campaigns in Normandy, Rhineland, Northern France and Central Europe. Harmon was honorably discharged on Oct. 18, 1945. Then in 1946, he met and married his loving wife of 59 years, Nellie Martin. They were married in Guymon, Okla., on June 16, 1946. From 1945 to 1966, he worked for Cabot Corporation as an electrician in Guymon, Kermit and White Deer. In 1966, he retired from Cabot and moved the family to Dumas, where he opened One Hour Martinizing. He very successfully ran the business from 1966 to 1982 when his daughter bought and continued the family business. After his retirement, he enjoyed life by fishing, gardening, reading and spending time with his family. Harmon was known for his love of God and his church. He was a faithful member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Dumas, where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. Harmon was a strong, kind, gentle, loving person who is and always will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a longtime member of Dumas American Legion Post 224. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Brannan and husband, Danny, and Debra Johnson and husband, Eldon, all of Dumas; a son, Tim Stump and wife, Kay, of Fort Worth; a brother, Buford Stump of Hardesty, Okla.; a sister, Anna Tidwell of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren, Cary, Catrina, Nathan, Kim, Shaylon, Melanie and Stephanie; and five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Maverick, Kaden, Cody and Austin. Mrs. Chapman married Merlin Chapman on April 6, 1946, in Tulia. She worked for Tulia schools as a cafeteria manager for 35 years. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Debra Kinser of Tulia; a son, Larry Chapman of Tulia; a sister, Opal Koch of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Second St., Tulia, TX 79088. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pernie Fallon PAMPA - Pernie Fallon, 80, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Pampa with the Rev. Linda Kelly officiating. A celebration of her life will be held in the Parish Hall immediately following the service. Arrangements are by North Dallas Funeral Home. Mrs. Fallon, a longtime Pampa resident, died from lung cancer. She passed away peacefully at home Thursday evening, Oct. 13, with her family by her side. Born April 5, 1925, in Lubbock to Charles Gore and Pernie Clowdus Wagner, she grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School. She married Ben D. Fallon and spent most of her life in Pampa, where she raised her children and volunteered her time with Junior Service League. Always ahead of her time, she was the first woman to run for the Pampa school board. She loved the sun and being by the pool, the beach and playing bridge. She traveled the world extensively. She was a member of the Pampa Country Club and St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. In 2003, she moved to Addison, where she was a member of the Brookhaven Country Club and the Addison Pace Setters. Survivors include two daughters Pernie W. Fallon and Teddy Padden and husband, Noel, all of Addison; a son, Ben D. Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 16, 1924, in Forgan to Fannie Pearl Smith and Lawrence Linden Smith. She married Lawrence Ervin Smith on Jan. 13, 1940. Ruby Nell Parks, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, left her earthly home to dwell in the house of the Lord on Oct. 13, 2005. Ruby was born Jan. 28, 1939, in Calvin, Okla. She lived her life serving God and loving her family and was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Wolford; and her parents, Truman and Dorothy Cook. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church Chapel in Amarillo with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by her beloved husband. Arrangements are by Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Mrs. Askew was born March 26, 1912, in Amarillo, where she lived until August 2001, when she moved to Wichita Falls to be near family. She graduated from Amarillo High School, where she was editor of the 1930 school annual, La Airosa, member of the Honor Society and president of the Spanish Club. She married Glenn W. Askew on June 8, 1935. Dorothy and Glenn enjoyed traveling to tire dealer conventions in the Bahamas, Mexico and Hawaii during Glenn's ownership of Baker-Askew Tire Co. They also enjoyed visiting with their Air Force son's family at their assignments in Canada, France and the Philippines and made frequent visits to their ranch family in Honey Grove. Dorothy was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo, where her family attended before her. She and Glenn were active in the adult Sunday school classes for many years. She was a teacher in the church's Vacation Bible School and was a den mother for her sons' Cub Scout packs. Dorothy and Glenn were 40-year members of Amarillo Country Club. She was a member of the 20th Century Culture Club and a volunteer with the Amarillo Cerebral Palsy Association. The family extends their sincerest thanks and appreciation to all the friends and caregivers at Rolling Meadows Retirement Community and the Hospice of Wichita Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob Seaborn Nugent and Barbara Adeline Steussey Nugent; her husband of 66 years, Glenn W. Askew; a brother, Jacob Nugent Jr.; two sisters, Ouida Stanger and Rella Nugent; and a nephew, William Jacob Nugent.
