Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with Bob Thomas, Chaplain of Odyssey Health Care officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Clayborn was born July 22, 1933, in Bonham. He married Edna Christene Muhle on Oct. 5, 1954. He moved to Amarillo in 1959. He was a truck driver for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife on July 15, 1992; his father, T. O. Claborn, on Oct. 8, 1995; his brother, Gary Claborn, on July 18, 1938; a son, Danny Clayborn, on June 15, 1982; and a daughter, Saundra Smith on June 6, 2002. Survivors include his mother, Phoebe Claborn of Dimmitt; four daughters, Karen Clayborn of Wellington, Ky., Debbie Stanton and Vicki Martin, both of Conway, Ark., and Sherri Tickner of Amarillo; a son, Dennis Clayborn of Quinlan; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. The family will be at 6203 Pans St. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Geraldine Hearn Geraldine Hearn, 75, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in South Georgia Baptist Church with Bob Miller, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Geraldine was born in Amarillo to E.J. and Hazel Cherryhomes. She married Charles Hearn on June 16, 1948, in Canyon. Survivors include her husband, Charles Hearn; three sons, Ronald Hearn of Amarillo, Donald Hearn and Richard Hearn of Arlington; two daughters, Deborah Sykes of Amarillo and Cherrie Hearn of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Ernest Hearn, in 1992. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to the building fund of South Georgia Baptist Church. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hilda Gerber Heiman Hilda Gerber Heiman, 92, of Amarillo died Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, in Panhandle. Rosary services were Wednesday. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Arturo Meza officiating. Intombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Heiman was born Oct. 15, 1913, in Nazareth to Mathias and Ann Rosalie Sueper Gerber. She was reared and educated in Nazareth. She married Florence "F.H." Heiman on May 30, 1933, in Paris, Ark. The Heimans moved to Amarillo in 1942 from Nazareth. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 28, 1994; and three sisters, Ann Woelfle in 1966, Helen Chado, and Meda Guyer in 2003. Survivors include two sisters, Amy Schmucker of Nazareth and Isabel Skidmore of Amarillo; a brother, M.J. "Sonny" Gerber of Manter, Kan.; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to St. Ann's Nursing Home, Panhandle, TX 79068 or a favorite charity. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mary Anna Walters Mary Anna Walters, 80, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Chaparral Hills Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Burkhalter officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Walters was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Hollis, Okla., and was raised in Wellington, where she graduated high school. She married Thomas J. Walters after he returned from World War II. They moved to Amarillo and raised their family. Mrs. Walters worked for Amarillo College in the Lynn Library for 28 years. After she retired from AC, she moved to the Salt Fork near Goodnight to enjoy the ranch life with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include a son, Tom H. Walters of Goodnight; two daughters, Mary H. Marshall of Scotts Valley, Calif., and Theresa Eddleman of Claude; a sister, Yvonne Brewer of Wellington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Mescalero Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Oakley, pastor, David Malone and the Rev. Roy Almaroad officiating. Burial will be in Browning Cemetery in New Mexico by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mrs. Youngblood was director of Hi-Plains Day Care Services and a member of Mescalero Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, John Youngblood of Amarillo; her mother, Faye A. Taylor of Palestine; six children; 15 grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; a brother, Max Taylor of Corsicana; and a sister, Lota Clark of Palestine. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Rosa Rojas DALHART - Rosa Rojas, 89, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005. Prayer vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Deacon Ron Hein officiating. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church with the Rev. Ron Matthews, pastor of the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ of Prayer Town officiating. Arrangements are by Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart. Rosa Ramirez was born July 27, 1916, in Topeka, Kan., to Rosedo and Guadalupe Hernandez Ramirez. Raised in Dalhart, Rosa married Joaquin Mireles on Aug. 6, 1932. He died in July of 1952. Rosa worked for Loreto Hospital beginning in the early '50s. She married Pedro Rojas on April 13, 1965. Rosa was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pedro Rojas; three daughters; three brothers; and a sister. Survivors include six sons, Richard Mireles of Kansas City, Kan., Joe Mireles of Sunray, Larry Rojas of Dumas, Ross Rojas and Benito Rojas, both of Amarillo, and Pete Rojas Jr. of Fritch; seven daughters, Petra Luera and Susan Kline, both of San Bernadino, Calif., Dora Griego and Christine Watkins, both of Dalhart, Carmela Montoya of Pampa, Anita Felker and Janie Garcia, both of Amarillo; four sisters, Janie Carranza of Dalhart, Manuela Aguirre of Wichita, Kan., Mary Mares of El Paso and Candy Velasquez of Amarillo; two brothers, Emilio Placencio of Dalhart and Joe Placencio of San Pedro, Calif.; 52 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Paul Burwash, pastor of First Baptist Church of Happy, officiating. Burial will be in Wayside Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Charles Jackson Wesley was born June 2, 1912, in Happy to Alvin and Lillie Gatten Wesley. He attended high school at West Texas Normal School in Canyon. He married Inez Shipman at Fairview Church in 1939. He was an avid reader of Reader's Digest and all local papers. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Happy. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1952; his parents; five brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Jackson and husband, Tom, of Amarillo; a son, Ronnie Wesley and wife, Thena, of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Paula Gowman and husband, Ron, of Plainview; two grandsons, Theron Wesley of Amarillo and Lance Wesley and wife, Hilary, of Coppell; two great- granddaughters, Sara Gowman of Plainview and Kenneda Wesley of Coppell; and a great-grandson, Michael Gowman of Plainview. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mrs. Amador was born Aug. 4, 1978, in Durango, Mexico. She was employed by Seaboard Farms of Guymon and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Julio Esquibel of Optima; a son, Julio Esquibel Jr. of Optima; her parents, Manuel and Guadalupe Mesta of Optima; two sisters, Araceli Mesta and Maria Mesta, both of Optima; and three brothers, Eddie Mesta of Durango, Joaquin Mesta and Oliverio Mesta, both of Optima. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Isabel Esquibel OPTIMA, OKLA. - Isabel Esquibel, 6, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005.
