Memorial Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Christ Community Fellowship Church in Vega with Tony Hanke, youth minister, officiating. She was a beloved "Grammie" to all. Survivors include a daughter, Vivian Schodt of Williamsport, Pa.; a son, Don Hunter of Vega; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Coulter St. Ms. Reeves was born June 26, 1927, in Plainview. She graduated from and was Homecoming Queen at Petersburg High School. She was also a retired pre-need counselor at Llano Cemetery. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Chaparral Hills Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Burkhalter officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Walters was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Hollis, Okla., and was raised in Wellington, where she graduated high school. She married Thomas J. Walters after he returned from World War II. They moved to Amarillo and raised their family. Mrs. Walters worked for Amarillo College in the Lynn Library for 28 years. After she retired from AC, she moved to the Salt Fork near Goodnight to enjoy the ranch life with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include a son, Tom H. Walters of Goodnight; two daughters, Mary H. Marshall of Scotts Valley, Calif., and Theresa Eddleman of Claude; a sister, Yvonne Brewer of Wellington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel with Bob Thomas, chaplain of Odyssey Hospice, officiating. Mrs. Wingren was born Nov. 23, 1919, in Topeka, Kan., and graduated from Topeka High School. She married Charles Wingren in 1940 in Topeka. He passed away in 1981. She married Paul Wingren in 1991 in Redlands, Calif., and he passed away in 2002. Mrs. Wingren lived in Amarillo for many years. She lived in Albuquerque, N.M., from 1953 until 1983 and lived in California from 1991 until 2002, when she returned to Amarillo. She was a homemaker and attended Valleyview Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include three daughters, Lorie Rodgers and husband, Larry, of Amarillo, Vada Lent and husband, Ron, and Charlene Swauger and husband, Jack, all of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Clint, Dean and Charlie, all of Amarillo, Gretchen, Heidi and Tracy, all of Albuquerque, and Judy of Gilbert, Ariz.; and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Glen Walton of Bell Avenue Church of Christ officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. McQueen was born Oct. 27, 1916, in Chicago to Arthur Ray and Edith McQueen. He served in World War II in the U. S. Army 82nd Airborne Division. He married Virginia North in Kansas City on Feb. 6, 1941. He was the owner of the Amarillo Sewing Center until his retirement. Mr. McQueen recently moved to Lubbock to be with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1974. Survivors include a daughter, Leslie McGavock of Lubbock; a son, Michael McQueen of Mexico; four grandchildren, Dawn Rose, Brent McGavock, Stephanie Coe and Merrie Seiler; and six great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Wallace Charles "Chilly" Bradshaw PAMPA - Wallace Charles "Chilly" Bradshaw, 54, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mark's CME Church with the Rev. Raymond McKever, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Bradshaw was a resident of Pampa most of his life and was employed by Culligan Water. He was an active member of St. Mark's CME Church and a veteran of the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Eula Bradshaw; a stepdaughter, Karen Price of Pampa; a stepson, Gary Watie of Pampa; two sisters, Erma Wright of Tatum and Brenda Mengesha of San Antonio; a brother, Jerome Bradshaw of Pampa; three stepgrandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Hereford Heritage Funeral Home. Mrs. Fuller was born May 10, 1920, in Bell County, to George Thomas and Eva Kate Wilson. She married Ham Fuller in Bell County on May 20, 1939. Survivors include four sons, H.S. Fuller of Canyon, Glen Fuller of Clovis, N.M., Joe Fuller of Denver and George Fuller of Pilot Point; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Mrs. Gaylor was born Oct. 16, 1934, to Raymond and Elnora Stephens Clements and married Gerald Gaylor in 1948. She enjoyed cooking, decorating and animals and truly enjoyed being with family at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Survivors include a son, Dave Gaylor of Amarillo; two daughters, Charla Whatley of Amarillo and Donna Parrack of Hereford; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don H. Geries FARWELL - Don H. Geries, 69, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, in Yukon, Okla. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Farwell with the Rev. Richard Laverty officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis, N.M. Mr. Geries was born Oct. 4, 1936, in Clovis to Raymond Douglas "Dick" and Perlie Ramm Geries. He was raised in the Clovis area and was a resident of the area all his life. He graduated from Farwell High School in 1955 and farmed in the Pleasant Hill, Oklahoma Lane and Lariat areas. He married Linda JoAnne Williams on Feb. 7, 1959, in Clovis. He was currently serving on the Farwell City Council. After retiring he dedicated his time to his family, grandchildren and caring for his mother. He was a charter member of First Baptist Church in Farwell. He was preceded in death by his father and his wife. Survivors include two sons, Randy Geries and wife, Sarah, of Friona and Stephen Geries and wife, Michelle, of Yukon; two daughters, Dondra Lonsdale and husband, Max, of Yukon and Lisa Ard and husband, Shane, of Amarillo; three brothers, Herman Geries of Farwell, Bob Geries of Clovis and Dickie Geries of Uvalde; his mother of Farwell; 10 grandchildren; his father-in-law, Duffy Sasser of Clovis; a sister-in-law, Nancye Gressett of Clovis; two brothers-in- law, Tony Sasser of Stanford, Conn., and James Sasser of Amarillo. Pallbearers will be Randy Geries, Ryan Geries, Stephen Geries, Tyler Lonsdale, Max Lonsdale and Shane Ard. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview with the Rev. Roger Foote officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Mrs. Hooper was born Dec. 7, 1921, to Fred W. Carlton and Alma Carlton in Hillsboro. She was married to L.G. Hooper from 1940-1963 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon. Survivors include three sons, Larry of Austin, Richard of McClean, Va., and Mony Hooper of Houston; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Maurice Carlton of Carrollton. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Juan "Gene" Tijerina HEREFORD - Juan "Gene" Tijerina, 50, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005. Mr. Tijerina was born Sept. 24, 1955, in Carrizo Springs, the son of Maria and Julian Tijerina Sr. He worked as a laborer and was a member of San Jose Catholic Mission. Survivors include three brothers, Julian Tijerina Jr. of Amarillo, George A. Tijerina Sr. of Hereford and Joe Tijerina of California; and a sister, Mary Lou Perz of Hereford. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mrs. Lester was born June 24, 1949, in Taft, Calif., to Harold and Willie Gipson Lindsey. She graduated from Canyon High School and married James Lester in Amarillo in 1995. She was very active in her church and loved to garden. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Survivors include her husband; a son, Wes Glenn of Cape Coral, Fla.; a daughter, Bridgett Potter of Eureka, Calif.; a stepson, James A. Lester of Mobeetie; a stepdaughter, Carol Miller of Ogallala, Neb.; 12 grandchildren, including Cody Glenn, of the home; and her stepmother, Betty Lindsey of Canyon. Mr. Barria was born in Bellflower, Calif., to Wilfrido Fremin Lopez and Jubencia Lopez Barria. He was a senior at Beaver High School involved in running track and Quiz Bowl and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Booker, Texas. Miss Durfey was born in Tucson, Ariz., to David Walter Balconi and Tammie Durfey. Survivors include her mother of Beaver; two half-brothers, Joshua and Matthew; a half-sister, Tianna; her father; and grandparents, Hank and Patty Balconi and Connie Burrows. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- James Russel Waugh BUFFALO, OKLA. - James Russel Waugh, 31, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2005, in Colorado Springs, Colo. Services were Saturday in Evergreen Funeral Chapel in Colorado Springs with ministers Chris Cassell and Earl Malone officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery by Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home. Mr. Waugh, formerly of Buffalo, was born July 21, 1974, in Oklahoma City to Gary Wayne and Marleeta Joy Moore Waugh. He married Julie Kathleen Denver on Dec. 16, 1996, in Colorado Springs. Survivors include his wife; his parents, both of Laverne; grandparents, Roy Lee Moore of Shattuck, Meredith H. Waugh of Buffalo, Carl and Susie Buchana of Oklahoma City and Dorothy Brown of Bethany; and his twin sister, Christy L. Waugh of Laverne.
