Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Bozeman was born Feb. 17, 1923, in Greendale, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bozeman. Survivors include two sons, David L. Hawkins and wife, Donna, of Amarillo and Glenn Hawkins and wife, Sue, of Lubbock; a brother, Hughes Hoss of Bristol, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews, including Peggy Doss of Abingdon, Va.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Odyssey Health Care, 7201 Evans Drive, Amarillo, TX 79106. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wanda Tyler Wanda Tyler, 68, of Amarillo died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Max Beggs, pastor of Family Worship Center, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Tyler was born Feb. 19, 1937, in Branch, Ark., to Robert and Jewel Boydston. On April 21, 1952, she married her childhood sweetheart, Melvin Tyler in Carrizozo, N.M. Melvin and Wanda moved to Amarillo in 1955 and have resided in Randall County since that time. Wanda cherished her family and many friends. She attended Bethel Assembly Church. She was a devoted Christian and a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother known affectionately as "Nan." She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank BSA Hospice for all their help and support. Survivors include her husband of 53 years; a son, Larry Tyler and wife, Nora, of Amarillo; two daughters, Debra Cairns and husband, Phil, of Amarillo and Regina Nordquist and husband, Jim, of Wichita Falls; a sister, Velta Wester of Maysville, Okla.; a brother, Haskell Boydston of Clovis, N.M.; six grandchildren, Jennifer Kelley and husband, Chris, Jerrod Tyler, Amy Mabery and husband, Justin, Joshua Cairns, Brice Nordquist and wife, Abby, and Chase Nordquist; and four great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Freda Damron HEREFORD - Freda Damron, 81, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. H. Wyatt Bartlett and the Rev. F.M. Byford officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mrs. Damron was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Parnell, the daughter of Fredrick and Bonitia Graham. She married Otto Teaschner in April 1943. He preceded her in death in 1945. She married John Damron on Oct. 31, 1948, in Clovis, N.M. He also preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Damron was Temple Baptist Church secretary for more than 30 years in Hereford. Survivors include two sons, Tim Teaschner and wife, Pat, of Amarillo and Terry Teaschner of Dimmitt; a daughter, Shari Damron of Hereford; a brother, Gary Graham of Longview; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fourth and Bedford Church of Christ with Brett Page and Ronnie Parker officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Colonial Funeral Home. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Tishomingo, Okla., on May 20, 1914. She married R.N. Carpenter in 1930 in Littlefield. She was a member of Fourth and Bedford Church of Christ, a former member of the Bridge Club, Garden Club and the Dimmitt Book Club. She owned and operated two beauty shops for many years prior to moving to Dimmitt in 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include a son, Don Carpenter and wife, Betty, of Dimmitt; a brother, J.D. Phares of Lubbock; two sisters, Maxine Vredenburg of Eureka, Mont., and Helen Wilmuth of Dimmitt; five grandchildren, Vicki Buckley and husband, Steve, Donny Carpenter and wife, Melissa, and Carla Bradley and husband, Tod, all of Dimmitt, Becki Walker of Mesquite and Sandra Petty of Denver; 14 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Juan Beltran Jr. HEREFORD - Juan Beltran Jr., 81, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005. Mr. Beltran was born Dec. 27, 1923, in Odem, the son of Antonia and Juan Beltran Sr. He married Aurora Villarreal on May 28, 1941, in Odem. Mr. Beltran was a self-employed truck driver for more than 50 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter; two brothers; and a sister. Survivors include his wife; six sons, Walter Beltran of Amarillo, Rudy Beltran of Winters, Danny Beltran of Pampa and Nicky Beltran, Richard Beltran and Johnny Beltran III, all of Hereford; four daughters, Debbie Patrick of Plainview and Connie Martin, Eva Mendoza and Janie Beltran, all of Hereford; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mary H. Mrs. Sandoval was born Oct. 6, 1919, in Rociada, N.M., to Vicente and Eufelia Garcia. She married Joseph G. Sandoval Sr. on Oct. 30, 1938, in Brighton, Colo. Survivors include three sons, Joe G. Sandoval Jr. of San Antonio and Michael J. Sandoval and Anthony Sandoval Martinez, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; three daughters, Ana Marie Arguello of Mira Loma, Calif., Cecilia Luera of Guymon, Okla., and Lydia Sintas of Perryton; a sister, Romona Avina of Aurora, Colo.; 23 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sorter was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Huntersville, Minn., to Pearl Drake Roth and Peter Roth. She married Frank Sorter on June 12, 1944, in Hooker.
