Pauline Parker Albracht was born March 26, 1922, in Perryton to George and Dora Gum Parker. She married Jerry Albracht on June 24, 1942, in Clovis, N.M. They moved to Canyon in 2003, and she was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. He grew up in Trujillo, N.M., where he farmed his own land for many years. He lived in Claude for 20 years and in Amarillo since 1984. He married Elvira Roybal on Oct. 2, 1938, in Lourdes, N.M. Survivors include three daughters, Elcie Montano and Helen Smith, both of Amarillo, and Betty Malcom of Lubbock; seven sons, Laurance Jaramillo of Claude, Arthur Jaramillo of Albuquerque, N.M., Joe Jaramillo, Tommy Jaramillo, George Jaramillo and Paul Jaramillo, all of Amarillo, and Anthony Jaramillo of Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brenda K. Rick Bartlett of New Braunfels officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. McCollum was born May 29, 1917, to Daniel Howard and Rozetta Fosher McCollum in Brookfield, Mo. He married Gladys Spruell on May 29, 1946, in Amarillo. He was a talented musician who enjoyed playing western and gospel songs. He started the Panhandle Swingsters band. He and his brother, Pinky, operated McCollum Food Stores in the early part of his life, then worked and retired from the Amarillo Globe-News in 1982. He loved having his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren around him. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Thomas Howard and wife, Pat, Howard Daniel and wife, Teresa, and Harry Max and wife, Julie; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Turner Sr. was born Sept. 9, 1922, in Chappell Hill to Gussie "Sam" and Effie Lewis Turner. He attended school in Sunny Stand. He married Gladys C. McMihelk on Feb. 6, 1943. They became the parents of 11 children. He worked as a sharecropper in Ralls for several years, and in 1947 he relocated his family to Amarillo. He became employed at ASARCO, where he worked 32 years. He served as union steward, grievance liaison and safety representative. He also worked part-time at Sears for 10 years. For 17 years he was affiliated with coaching and managing YMCA, Kids Inc. and American Legion baseball and football. His baseball team was the first from Amarillo to represent the North Texas Region in the National Tournament of the American Legion. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a longtime member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, trustee and brotherhood president. In 2004 he united with New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Gladys; five sons, L.D. Turner Jr. and wife, Christine, of Hobbs, N.M., Samuel Turner and wife, Ann, of Tracy, Calif., Jesse Turner and wife, Deanna, of Brownwood, Lonnie Turner and Johnny L. Burial will be in Memorial Park. Mr. Moran was an entertainer and had just returned from a USO tour. Kelly was a talented pianist and was a partner in the Amarillo Comedy Club; he also donated a lot of his time and talent to charity organizations in the Panhandle area. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Moran. Taylor, 74, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, with Dewey Newburn officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was born April 8, 1931, in Shamrock. He married Gay Huddleston on June 30, 1953, in Cookville, Tenn. After moving to Amarillo, he worked as a truck driver for Yellow Freight until he retired. He, along with his son, Danny, was the former owner and operator of Family Furniture on Amarillo Boulevard until J.E. retired. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Taylor was a member of San Jacinto Masonic Lodge No. 1330 and The Scottish Rites and Khiva Temple since the early '70s. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Burline Taylor; a brother, Delmer Taylor; and a sister, Gladys Sturges. He was a loving brother and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Jesusa Ochoa. Mrs. Simmons was born March 27, 1928, in Runnels County and moved to Tulia in 1954. She married Houston Simmons on April 28, 1954, in San Antonio. Dones DIMMITT - Sgt. Jacob "J.J." Dones, 21, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, in Base Camp Hit, Iraq. Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. and vigil will be at 7 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Lupe Mayorga and the Rev. Ken Keller officiating. Burial will be in Castro County Memorial Garden. J.J. was born March 5, 1984, in Dimmitt. He graduated from Dimmitt High School in 2002, and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was currently serving in the Army as a sergeant. He served in Operation Enduring Freedom and in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, CID, Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was an Expert Infantry Rifleman (EIB). Ms. Ortega was born Jan. 19, 1966, in Canadian to J.R. and Leota Gill Childress. She spent most of her adult life in Higgins and her family and friends were very important to her. He graduated from Wheeler High School in 2003, and was in his second year of attending Amarillo College. He was employed by Tyson Foods in Amarillo. While in high school, he was a member of FFA and the band. Mr. Sells was a 2001 graduate of Pampa High School where he played soccer and earned all-district honors and MVP his senior year. He was in the high school choir for four years, was in show choir his senior year, was a member of National Honor Society and was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a resident of Dumas since 1988. He married Pat Eslinger on April 10, 1965, in Cement, Okla. He began his ministry in Sweetwater, from 1969-1970; Waurika, 1970-1980; Denver City, 1980-1988; and Dumas, 1988-2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Katherine Trammell and a sister, Mary Glenn. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Pace was born Feb. 5, 1954, in Oklahoma City to Henry and ElJuena Gibbs Pace and was a longtime Clovis resident. He was a welder and a loving father, son and brother who would help people with anything. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mrs. Keys was born May, 9, 1919, to Aron Frances and Alice Parson. She married Buster Keys in 1951 in Clovis, N.M. She has lived in Allison since 1964. She ran the Allison Cafe for several years and was also employed as a secretary for J.T. Richerson Trucking for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Allison. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1989; a son, Roy Dean, in 2001; a brother, Herman Parson; and a sister, Virginia Bennett. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Muleshoe with Dr. Stacy Conner officiating. Mr. Lambert went to meet his Savior on Oct. 26, 2005, at the James L. West Community Hospice of Fort Worth. He was born June 12, 1924, in Bonham to A.P. "Shorty" and Faye Lambert. He was a longtime resident of Muleshoe and moved to Tarrant County in 2000. He was a graduate of Sudan High School and a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Muleshoe. He was a veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and retired from Southwestern Public Service after 35 years. He was a life member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Doris; and his son, Leland.
