Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Mike Nuthman of Paramount Terrace Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Packer was born Nov. 18, 1923, to Clyde and Bessie Hendrix in Munday. She worked as a bookkeeper for Xerox and Electronics Wholesalers, and she was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mason Packer, in 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Jeana Browder of Amarillo and Rita and Clark Owens of Houston; a son, Marty Blacklock of Houston; four grandchildren, Zach Browder, Joel Sykes, Ryan Blacklock and Lauren Blacklock; and four great- grandchildren. The family will be at 1715 S. Goliad. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul Prez Paul Prez, 83, of Amarillo died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005. A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. today in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with James Loper, pastor, officiating. Mr. Prez was born June 30, 1922, in Geronimo, Okla. He served in the military at an early age, and was a World War II veteran. He lived in Duncan, Okla., until 1950 where he was a self-employed carpet installer. He later moved to Wichita Falls where he owned and operated Atlas Carpet Cleaning. He moved to Amarillo in 1963, and also lived in Dalhart for a short time. He returned to Wichita Falls in 1968, and retired from the carpet business in 1982. After his retirement, Mr. Prez became employed at Midwestern State University as a custodian for 10 years. He spent the latter part of his life in Wizard Wells, and moved back to Amarillo in 2002. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Benny Perez, Christobal Perez, and Bill Prez. Survivors include two daughters, Talaina Molhusen of Jacksboro and Jacqueline Gallegos of Amarillo; three brothers, Sub Priz and Marion Prez, both of Amarillo, and Pete Prez of Walters, Okla.; two sisters, Nellie Garcia of California and Patricia Weiss of Utah; five grandchildren, Amanda, Serena, Kristopher, Matt, and Tabitha; and six great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Patricia Broad BORGER - Patricia Broad, 58, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Broad was born April 21, 1947, in Newton, Iowa. She married Jim Broad on Feb. 21, 1970, in Newton. Survivors include her husband; her mother, Ruth Pauls of Newton; a son, Adam Broad of Cypress; a daughter, Mary Bowden of Palestine; a brother, Bill Pauls of Columbia, Mo.; and four grandchildren. Mr. Cramer was born May 11, 1943, to Lawrence Clyde Cramer Sr. and Johnnie Williams Cramer in Childress. He married Brenda on Sept. 8, 1962, in Childress. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Crowell Cemetery in Crowell with the Rev. Ken Rowland, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Crowell, officiating. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams was born July 2, 1915, in Quanah to James and Ruby Elizabeth Ross Malone. She married Royse A. Williams on May 20, 1941, in Dallas. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Asche of Pearl City, Ill.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Price LITTLETON, COLO. - James "Jim" R. Price, 63, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005. Per his wishes, Jim was cremated and his ashes will be taken to his favorite hunting site of 25 years and the lake where as a family we went camping. James "Jim" R. Price of Littleton, Colo., was taken from us on Nov. 25, 2005, at the age of 63. Jim was born Feb. 1, 1942, in Fairmont, W.Va., to James W. and Margaret Stealey Price. He grew up in Mannington, W.Va., where he graduated from Mannington High School in 1960. He went on to attend the University of West Virginia where he graduated with a Master's Degree in Geology in 1966. He married Shirley Garner that same year. His field took him to Utah, Colorado and Texas. He retired as a Senior Geologist at the age of 55 when he became a consultant. Jim and Shirley retired to Colorado to actively pursue their hobbies of hiking, fishing, and camping. Jim also enjoyed hunting. His passion was cycling, including building and maintaining his extensive collection, in addition to helping others with theirs. He was preceded in death by his father, James W. Price. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Kimberlee (James) Stevens, Jessica Price; three grandchildren, Jansen, Kyra and Kelby; his 90-year-old mother, Margaret Stealey Price; a brother, Tom Price of Ohio; a sister, Janet Cain of West Virginia; nieces, nephews and many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Bicycle Colorado, Donor Alliance or a charity of choice. We love you and will miss you sorely.
