Rich Van B. Rich, 83, of Amarillo died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Bell Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Logan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Rich was born and raised in Oklahoma and moved to Amarillo in 1969 from Oklahoma City. He was a veteran of the Army as well as the Office of Strategic Services. He served as quartermaster at "Milton Hall" in London. After London, he was reassigned to "Melanie Mission Team" in Holland. He received an honorable discharge in 1945. He married Leatrice "Lea" Basden in 1942 in Oklahoma City. She passed away in 1999. He owned and operated T E Agri Supply until he sold the company and retired in 1985. He was a member and deacon of Bell Avenue Baptist Church and was a longtime member of the Amarillo Executive Association. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ilda McBride, in November. Survivors include a son, Garry Rich and wife, Kim, of Amarillo; a daughter, Becky Baker of Amarillo; two brothers, Kenneth Rich of Manteca, Calif., and Glenn Rich of Tulare, Calif.; two sisters, Audrey Cross of Manteca and Ruby Harrison of Lindsey, Calif.; four grandchildren, Julie VanDyke, Shanna Collins, Tyler Rich and Kelsey Rich; and three great-grandchildren, Chelsey Stevens, Brittani Stevens and Breeanna Stevens. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dora A. Anderson Dora A. Anderson, 85, of Amarillo died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005. Services will be later this week in Crabtree Family Cemetery in Hilham, Tenn. Dora was a very loving and caring mother who always supported her son. She was very proud of his business, Royal Limousine. He had been sick for years and in chronic pain, but he is now in Heaven and relieved of all his pain. Tony Coleman was a loving husband and father. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega by Boxwell Brothers of Vega. Mrs. Fangman passed away Dec. 4. She was 76 years old. She was born in Lawrence, Kan., to Margaret Shalk Paschel and Fred Paschel. She grew up on a dairy farm in Lawrence and moved to Texas in 1942. Mrs. Fangman graduated from Vega High School and married James Fangman in 1949. They settled in Vega and raised six children on a farm. Mrs. Fangman moved to Amarillo in 1986. She was an active member of the Alter Society at Immaculate Conception Church in Vega for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985 and a son, John Fangman in 1976. Mrs. Wofford was born Jan. 28, 1921, to James Henry Dean and Annie Mae Nations Dean in Marlow, Okla. She married Dr. C.D. Wofford on June 29, 1947, in Plainview. Vera worked for Billington Realty for many years as a real estate agent, and she was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. She dedicated most of her life and time to several different historical foundations, the main one being Hale County Historical Commission. Mrs. Wofford was awarded the Plainview Cultural Arts Silver Star Award for her help in the advancement of Plainview's fine arts. She was associated with the Plainview Symphony Orchestra and the Amarillo Opera and was a member of the Texas Heritage Commission, which produces the play "Texas." Mrs. Wofford was a published writer, having written Hale County Facts and Folklore. Vera was a graduate of Plainview High School and Wayland Baptist University. She was also a very accomplished piano teacher for about 45 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, and seven brothers, Densel Dean, W.H. "Bill" Dean, John B. Dean, Irvin "Heavy" Dean, Tom Dean, Charles "Chock" Dean and Orville "Putts" Dean. She worked as an interior decorator for some years with Hughes Home Beautiful in Amarillo. Later, moving to Albuquerque, N.M., and following the death of her second husband, George Kloepfer, she was joined by her sister, Ruby Howell. After 17 years of life together, they decided it would be better to be closer to immediate family members, so her sister, Ruby, returned to live with her daughter, Patsy, in Houston, and Viola moved to a lovely retirement complex in Purcell and spent the remaining months of her life with her son, Ronnie, his wife, Terry, and three wonderful grandsons and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; her oldest son, Jerry Green; her first husband, Earl Green; her second husband, George Kloepfer; a sister, Velma Propes; and a brother, J.B. Price.
