Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Amarillo Cowboy Church with Ty Jones, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fouke Cemetery, Fouke, Ark., with the Rev. Boyce Green officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Talkington was born April 21, 1953. He owned and operated Tradewinds Heating AC and Controls Inc. for 14 years. He was a member of the Panhandle Boat and Ski Club and a member of Amarillo Cowboy Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Ann Talkington in 1998. Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Lake Tanglewood; two daughters, Elizabeth Talkington of Lake Tanglewood and Amanda Rowell of Eatonton, Ga.; a son, Michael Dodson of Amarillo; a sister, Sharon Hatley of Waxahachie; a brother, John Talkington of Carson City, Nev.; his parents, H.L. Kyler was born April 7, 2005, in Amarillo. Lance Claudius Mulkey Lance, 87, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor, and the Rev. Lynn Garrett, pastor to senior adults, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Lance was born in Hardeman County, near Chillicothe, on Dec. 23, 1917. He was the second child of Sarah Lottie Mulkey and Claudius Melvin Lance. He graduated from King's High School in Medicine Mound. He married Eula Lavaun Snitker on March 20, 1939, in the pastor's study at First Baptist Church in Amarillo. Mr. Lance served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was with the optical detachment in New Caledonia/the Philippines. After returning to Amarillo he worked for Riggs Optical before moving to Littlefield, where he worked as an optician for B.W. Armistead and Ira E. Woods. In 1960, Mr. Lance returned to Amarillo and worked for Dr. Frank Duncan until his retirement. Mr. Lance was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Heritage Club. He was preceded in death by a sister, Etta Mae Gibson; and a brother, Clarence Ray Lance. Survivors include his wife; a sister, Dorine Cunningham of Canton; a daughter, Linda Karen Lamirande and husband, Gerald, of Grapevine; two grandchildren, Julie McLaughlin of Herndon, Va., and Brian Lamirande of Denton; and a great- grandson, Caiden. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and hospice caregivers of Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital, as well as our family and friends who have been so very kind. Mr. Sillivent was born Jan. 31, 1964, in Altus, Okla., to A.Z. and Morene Means Sillivent. David Sillivent graduated in 1982 from Palo Duro High School. He loved hunting and fishing. He married Kelly D. Young on May 28, 2005. David Sillivent recently moved back to Amarillo from Missouri and was recently working as a carpet layer at Wal-Mart on Coulter. Mr. Sillivent is remembered as a great father. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gary was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jeanette Willis; two brothers; and a sister. Mrs. Acquaye was born Jan. 9, 1959, in Corpus Christi and attended Dimmitt High School. She worked for Wal-Mart on Tascosa Road as a cashier for five years. He was a welder by trade and a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II. Survivors include his wife, JD; a son, Gideon; a daughter, Engo; his mother, Dorothy of Savoy; and two sisters, Barbara Warren of Austin and Tricia Toliver of Savoy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nancy Elaine Wilcox ENFIELD, CONN. - Nancy Elaine Wilcox, 61, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005. Arrangements are by Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels. Mrs. Wilcox was born Dec. 14, 1944, and was raised in Dansville, N.Y. She resided in Enfield, and was employed by Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs for 20 years. Nancy cared for her husband for many years before she became ill herself. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, reading love stories, crocheting, flea marketing, holidays and music. She also loved to go every other weekend to their cottage in Keene, N.H., before her illness. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and loved to attend Bible study and church. Nancy was always giving of herself and didn't seek after the world; she was content with what she had. We are very grateful to God for the time he gave us with Nancy, more than prayers could express; more than words could ever say. The heart felt thanks to God for the love of a wonderful wife and mother.
