Evelyne married Charles Henry Ivers in 1939 in Amarillo. He died in 1989. She retired as a registered nurse after 47 years. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lou Roberts of Amarillo; a son, Charles H. Ivers and wife, Kathy, of Benbrook; six grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. Mrs. Teter was born June 21, 1938, in East Chicago, Ind. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Teter; and a sister, Rachel Casey. Glenn DeWitt Stafford, 81, of Amarillo died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in San Jacinto Assembly of God with the Rev. Melvin Suttle and the Rev. Robert Slaton officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. A memorial service will also be at 2 p.m. Dec. 21 in Maranatha Chapel in Springfield, Mo. The Rev. Glenn DeWitt Stafford was born June 27, 1924, in Roosevelt, Okla., to Willis DeWitt and Vana LaRue Hodges Stafford. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 11, 2005, in Springfield. He served in the U.S. Army 475th Infantry from 1943-1946 in the China-Burma- India Theater. He later received his B.A. in Theology at Southwestern Assemblies of God Bible College in 1949, was ordained a minister in 1950, and earned a M.A. in Missions at Assemblies of God Graduate School in 1978. Glenn married Kathleen Joan Foster Stafford on Oct. 18, 1950. He and Kathleen held pastoral positions in Amarillo and Lubbock before going overseas to Burma in 1957 as missionaries with the Assemblies of God. They also served in Malaysia, Singapore, S. Vietnam, Indonesia, and Fiji. Their ministry throughout the years consisted of pioneer work, pastoring, and Bible school teaching. Glenn also taught missions at Trinity Bible Institute, Ellendale, N.D., and Southwestern Assemblies of God College, Lakeland, Fla. After retiring from missions, he served as assistant pastor with San Jacinto Assembly of God in Amarillo until retiring for health reasons. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Troy, Larry and Charles; two sisters, Vonda Fay Stafford and LaVerna Stafford Dudley; an infant daughter, Pamela; and an infant grandson, Joel Stephens. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; their children, Sondra Bocchieri and husband, John, of Springfield, Darla Stephens and husband, Dwayne, of Richmond, Va., and Glenn Stafford Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Burleson; grandchildren, Christopher and Liana Bocchieri, Christina Stephens Driscoll and husband, Fred, all of Springfield, Mark, DeAnna, Nathan, and Joanna Stephens, all of Richmond; a great-grandson, Frederick Driscoll of Springfield; three sisters, Valois Bell of Fritch, Ida Baldwin of Phoenix and Xelpha Phipps of Fort Worth; and numerous other relatives and friends. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Warren was born Nov. 12, 1921, in Gilmore. He married Mary Joyce Simpson on Sept. 19, 1945, in Childress. He served in the Navy during World War II where he served on the USS Indianapolis and USS Onslow. He was discharged in 1946. Mr. Warren lived in Childress and attended college in Fort Worth. Upon moving to Amarillo, Mr. Warren owned Warren Motor Company. He was an automobile dealer and real estate investor for many years. He served on many missions in several foreign countries through the Baptist Partnership Mission Board. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Keith Warren, in 1980; three brothers, Leonard Warren, Joe Warren and Chester Warren; and a sister, Georgia Worley. Survivors include his wife, Mary J. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Damon was born Dec. 13, 1908, in Tolar. He was the third child of Jesse Franklin and Flora Nutt. He attended Amarillo College. He was a loving, gentle, caring man, loved dearly by his family. He married Christine Virginia Weatherall on July 20, 1930, at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Amarillo. They were married for 75 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon emeritus. He and Christine were very active, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday school classes. Mr. Damon worked in the communications business for 48 years, the first 19 with Western Union and the remaining 29 with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. He was president of the Plains Bell Federal Credit Union's Board of Directors three times, having served on that board for 17 years, president of the Amarillo area chapter of credit unions, president of Communication Workers of America, local No. 12128, twice president of Telephone Pioneers of America, member of Amarillo Genealogical Society, a member of SPEBSQSA, a member of Amarillo Junior Chamber of Commerce, a 32nd Degree Mason, Amarillo Lodge No. 731, and was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Lubbock. He was preceded in death by a brother, C. B. Nutt; and a sister, Almeda Adams. Survivors include his wife, Christine; two sons, William Jesse Damon and wife, Roberta, of Chester, Va.; and Robert Wray Damon and wife, Wanda, of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. "Hoot" Baker QUITAQUE - Alton L. "Hoot" Baker, 84, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, in Tulia. Mr. Baker died late Tuesday evening at the Tulia Health and Rehabilitation Center. Hoot worked as a pipeline inspector, welder, and a farmer for many years. He was active in the Local Union 792 and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy E. Baker and Artie Gilbert; and a sister, Mollie Jo Timmerman. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. DiCuffa was born March 19, 1922, in Cleburne County, Ark. Nelle married Bill Kitchens in Ada, Okla., on Oct. 25, 1937. They moved to Dimmitt from Wayne, Okla., in 1954. She helped Bill on the farm west of Dimmit until his death in 1967. In December 1990, she married Sal DiCuffa in Ruidoso, N.M. He preceded her in death in 1996. Nelle loved being with people and was very active in First Assembly of God Church in Dimmitt, where she taught Sunday school, was in the Women's Auxiliary and served as Secretary-Treasurer. She was also active in the Dimmitt Senior Citizens and the Plains Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Her children and grandchildren were very important to her, and she loved participating in activities with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Kitchens in 1967; her husband, Sal DiCuffa in 1996; a great-granddaughter, Brandy Walker; her parents, Cal and Mayme Cothren; and three brothers, Chester Hackworth, Vaughn Cothren and Cal Cothren Jr. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Howell and husband, Fred, and Doris Jenkins and husband, Seger, all of Amarillo, and Billie Everman and husband, Tom, of Beavercreek, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Jack Cothren of Huber Springs, Ark.; two sisters, Doris Faye Tharpe of Searcy, Ark., and Helen Towell of Security, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was raised on a farm in Canute where she attended St. Francis grade school and Canute Public Schools. Loretta attended and graduated from the West Texas School of Nursing as an RN. On Feb. 14, 2001, she married Dwayne Sager in Perryton. Loretta was a past member of the Catholic Church. In recent years she was a member of the Community Worship Center in Perryton where she was very active in the Life Group and Life Bible study. She enjoyed ceramics, gardening, square dancing, and most of all, her friends and family. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Loretta died on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at Ochiltree General Hospital in Perryton. She was preceded in death by her parents. John Michael Harris, 56, of Albuquerque passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, while surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born Oct. 12, 1949, in Albuquerque to Kay Young and John H. Harris. All who knew Michael were blessed by his caring and gregarious personality. Michael served in the Marine Corps as a staff sergeant and was a Vietnam veteran. He had many life adventures in business ownership and careers, including being a gemologist in his own jewelry store and a yacht captain traveling through the Caribbean. Michael lived life with amazing enthusiasm that will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, James Patrick Harris.
