Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park East Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Robert Field officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Jasper Claude Campbell was born Oct. 13, 1914, in Ellis County. He was the oldest son of William Arthur and Mary Lorene Tidwell Campbell. He served in World War II in Normandy, France. In 1950, he moved to Amarillo. He married Betty Lorene Jackson on May 24, 1962, in Amarillo. In 2000, Mr. Campbell moved to San Diego, or Chula Vista, Calif., to live with his daughter, Mary. He worked for Gilvin-Terrill for 32 years as a truck driver hauling heavy equipment. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Tommy Campbell; and a sister, Evelyn Campbell Sperry. Survivors include his wife, Betty Campbell of Amarillo; a sister, Lucille House of Red Oak; a brother, Donald Ray Campbell of Maypearl; a daughter, Mary Campbell Williams and husband, Michael, of Wichita, Kan.; two stepdaughters, Jo Hamrick of Amarillo and Jackie Price of Dallas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- F. Gertrude "Trudy" Potts F. Gertrude "Trudy" Potts, 81, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Potts was born Feb. 8, 1924, in Seymour to Houston and Flora Edwards She was a longtime resident of Farwell before moving to Amarillo in 1987. Trudy was a past worthy matron of the Bovina Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 839. She was also a member of the Farwell Women's Club and 4-H Leader/Horsemanship. Mrs. Potts was a secretary for the Parmer County Extension Agent. Trudy and her husband, Herbert, enjoyed raising and showing appaloosa horses. She was also a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Potts was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Potts, on Dec. 2, 2005. Walter Scott "Tres" Mount III, beloved son and brother, died Sunday, Dec. 11 after a lengthy illness. He was a member of OSO Naval Lodge No. 1282 AF&AM, York Rite and Alamen Shrine of Corpus Christi,. In his youth he attended the First Presbyterian Church in Amarillo, and was a member of Parkway Presbyterian Church in Corpus Christi. He was born Feb. 1, 1947, in Amarillo, the son of Marjorie Quaile Mount and Walter Scott Mount Jr. Mr. Mount III graduated from Amarillo High School, attended the College of Santa Fe and pursued additional studies of jewelry making at the Studio Jewelry Institute in New York City. He was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents, Harriett Small Mount and Walter Scott Mount Sr. and Lucile Hagy Quaile and Fredrick Fletcher Quaile of Corpus Christi; aunts, Harriett Mount Watkins and husband, Don O. Watkins, Jeanette Quaile McManus and husband, Joe E. McManus; and his uncle, Dorset Sanford. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Donald Lee Nunnelley, born Jan. 15, 1932, in Wellington, passed away Dec. 14, 2005, in Amarillo. Donald was the beloved son of Ernest and Eunice Nunnelley, also of Wellington. Donald was in law enforcement in the state of Texas for 47 years. He was Chief of Police at Wellington from 1960 to 1970. In 2001 he retired from the Potter County Sheriff's Department where he had been employed for 26 years. In 1953, he and his wife, Melba Christine Pendergrass. Survivors include his wife, Melba of Amarillo; three daughters, Tina Nunnelley-Bullard of Logan, N.M., Pat Woodruff of Azel and Donna Nunnelley of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren located through Texas and Colorado. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Warren was born Nov. 12, 1921, in Gilmore. He married Mary Joyce Simpson on Sept. 19, 1945, in Childress. He served in the Navy during World War II, where he served on the USS Indianapolis and USS Onslow. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He was discharged in 1946. Mr. Warren lived in Childress and attended college in Fort Worth. Upon moving to Amarillo, Mr. Warren owned Warren Motor Co. He was an automobile dealer and real estate investor for many years. He served on many missions in several foreign countries through the Baptist Partnership Mission Board. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Keith Warren in 1980; three brothers, Leonard Warren, Joe Warren and Chester Warren; and a sister, Georgia Worley. Survivors include his wife: Mary J. After graduating high school, she went to barber school and worked in Amarillo for several years as a barber. She married Admiral D. Linley in 1930 in Tucumcari, N.M. He preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Linley was the family's amazing grace and was a loving mother and grandma. She will be missed by all. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church. Mr. Bain was born Jan. 16, 1949, in Amarillo. He graduated from Sunray High School and attended Panhandle State University. She was a secretary and bookkeeper for Martin-Turner Insurance Agency, retiring after 20 years of service. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Meacham, the Rev. Carroll Green and Silas Short officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park in Plainview by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center. Mrs. Lewis was born April 29, 1905, in Hill County. She was nicknamed "Jack" by a sister who said she could run faster than a jackrabbit. She attended schools in Florence Hill and Duncanville and married Barnie W. Lewis on Oct. 20, 1923. They moved to Hale Center in 1926, and he preceded her in death April 13, 1976. She lived in the same house for more than 67 years. While her children were growing up she was active in school and parent organizations. A strongly patriotic American, Mrs. Lewis was one of the few women in Hale County who was a World War I veteran's surviving wife. Mrs. Lewis, a member of First Baptist Church in Hale Center, is widely known for her volunteer work. She served as president of the Hale Center American Legion Auxillary and had helped send girls to Bluebonnet Girls State, a program created by the American Legion Auxillary, since 1968. She continued to support the girls each year despite being legally blind. For the past 18 years, she had made a red, white and blue afghan as a fundraiser for the American Legion Auxillary in Hale Center's July 4th celebration. She was an active member and former Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Chapter until it became inactive. She helped organize the Hospital Auxillary in Hale Center during the early 1940s, and was a member until it also became inactive. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Hale Center Women's Club, the Hale Center Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing bridge during her spare time. She was the recipient of the Hale Center Chamber of Commerce 1993 Citizenship Award, and was named Citizen Through the Years in 2004. She was honored as Pioneer Woman of the Plains in May of 2004 during the annual Pioneer Round Up in Plainview. Mrs. Lewis was an active member of the Hale Center Senior Citizens Center, where she attended five days a week. She was preceded in death by her husband; and two granddaughters, Kristy Landers and Kathy Landers Bostick. Ivor was born Aug. 10, 1924, in Eagle City, Okla. He was a veteran of World War II, landing on the beach of Ansio in northern Africa and fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. He served as an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene from 1956 until 1987. His pastorates were in Rockton, Ill., Appleton, Wis., Baraboo, Wis., Portales, N.M., Galesburg, Ill., Seagraves, Snyder and Amarillo, as well as serving as New Mexico Nazarene Campground Pastor. He served the Lord with gladness for 49 years. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Naoma; three daughters, Neva Gray, Leatha McDonald and Clarissa Griego; a son, Keith Lake; 14 grandchildren; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Verlene Randolph; and two brothers, Norman Lake and Elver Lake. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Minnie Faye Rogers HEREFORD - Minnie Faye Rogers, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005. Rogers on Dec. 25, 1937. He preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1995. She was a longtime Hereford resident. She and her husband owned and operated Joe's Auto Clinic for many years. They enjoyed traveling and fishing. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Hereford. She taught Sunday school classes and was active in the Women's Missionary Union for many years.
