Mrs. Chavira was born Dec. 26, 1981, in Plainview to Alan and Edna Tucker. She married Romualdo Chavira on Oct. 17, 2003, in Amarillo. She graduated from Liberal High School in 1945 and went to work for the First National Bank in Liberal. She married William Ellington in Liberal in 1967. The Ellingtons moved to Groom in January 1981. Mrs. Ellington was the secretary at First Baptist Church in Groom for 11 years. She was a member of the "Red Hatter's" in Groom. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Robbie Thornton of Groom; a sister, Eva Lewis of Las Vegas; and a cousin, Virginia Newhouse of Liberal. Georgia St. Mr. Myers was born Nov. 28, 1950, in Harlingen to Moncell and Doris Myers. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1968 and attended Amarillo College and West Texas A&M University. Mr. Myers married Kim McWilliams in Canyon in 1979. He was a lifetime educator teaching primarily at Oak Dale Elementary School, which he considered his extended family, and while in Montana at the Monforton School. A lover of life, Pug was an enthusiastic golfer, hitting a monumental "Hole in One" on No. 7 at La Paloma Golf Course. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and musician. The family would like to extend special thanks to all their many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Francis Wells Myers in 2002. Survivors include his wife, Kim Myers; a daughter, Daya and Laura Myers-Hurt of Houston; a brother, Richard Myers and wife, Nancy, and children, Ada and Denise of Fromberg, Mont.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and DeDe McWilliams of Burlington, Okla.; and special pet friends, his dog, Buddie, and Jake, his cat. Georgia St. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Harold Waldow of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Talbot was born March 29, 1937, to Stanley and Mary Talbot in Port Neches. He married Leah Babin on Nov. 25, 1961, in Beaumont. He graduated from Lamar University in 1966. He worked for Social Security from 1966 in Port Arthur ending in Amarillo for almost 30 years. Mr. Talbot retired in 1995 as district manager. He then worked for MASH as a patient advocate then transferred to Disability Help Inc. in 1998, where he managed the local office. He retired in October 2005. Mr. Talbot was a member of the Downtown Lions Club and North Amarillo Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Welcome Committee, a board member of Amarillo Community Federal Credit Union, served as president of Potter-Randall Child Protective Services for numerous years, where he helped start the jury duty funding program, and president of the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries. He was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Betty Talbot. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Becky Miller and husband, John, and Toni Marie Talbot, all of Amarillo; a son, Jay Talbot of Amarillo; four sisters, Myrna O'Neal of Newton, Linda Mason of Port Arthur, Kay Thigpen and husband, James, of Beaumont and Bonnie Richard and husband, Donnie, of Groves; a brother, Jerry Talbot and wife, Patsy, of Houston; his mother of Groves; three grandchildren, Jenny Cannon and husband, Marty, LeeAnn Miller and J.W. Mrs. Thompson was born in Dallas on Dec. 29, 1939, to E.J. "Shorty" Watson and Eva Watson and was a resident of Amarillo most of her life. She was Texas High School State Tennis Champion in 1957. She married Fred Thompson in 1958. Kay was a member of Anna Street Church of Christ. She received her master's degree from WTSU in 1984 and retired from Texas Department of Human Services in 2003. She was also employed part-time at Amarillo Country Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1953. Mr. Hibbs retired from ASARCO after 24 years of employment. He married Linda Crawford in Amarillo in 1981. He was an active member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Hibbs loved to travel and had enjoyed an Alaskan cruise. He spent time working on model trains and tinkering on the computer. He loved his family and treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Karl Lewis Hibbs; a son, Todd Hibbs; and his first wife, Karen Jan Mote Hibbs. "Pete" Wilson Obe J. "Pete" Wilson, 72, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford with the Rev. Mr. Wilson was born Aug. 18, 1933, in Snyder and was raised in Hereford. He was a veteran of the Army. He married Sylvia Cox on Sept. 20, 1956, in Hereford. They moved to Amarillo from Hereford and owned and operated Cox Farms Market in Amarillo for more than 20 years. He moved to McAllen in 1994 and worked for GWR Produce from 1994 until the time of his death. He loved his family and loved being surrounded by them all of the time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Obe and Thelma Wilson; a son, Michael Wilson; and two brothers, Darwin Wilson and Bonnie Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Wilson of McAllen; three daughters, Cindy White and husband Gary of Corydon, Ind., and Sherry Daniel and Ramona Wilson, both of Houston; a son, Steve Wilson and wife, Kelly, of San Angelo; two brothers, Bob Wilson and Marshall Wilson; a sister, Marguerite Favor; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Cagle was born on July 20, 1925, in Manning, S.C. Louise Cagle was the standard that all mothers who love their children should follow. She had many friends and gave many hours of volunteer service to the American Legion Auxiliary, serving as vice president, and with the VA Family Council as treasurer. Louise never lost her Southern charm or accent and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by three sons, Douglas Roach, Harry Roach and Butch Cagle, and three grandsons Phillip Green, Bobby Jean Roach and Charlie Joe Roach. Survivors include three daughters who adored her, Dorcas Green of Austin and Jan Smith and Elaine Lacy, both of Amarillo; her husband, James Cagle, who resides at the Amarillo Veteran's Hospital; and a sister, Mary Edith Carpenter of South Carolina. She was a wonderful grandmother and is survived by 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Sparks was born Aug. 21, 1917, to Walter and Cora McCurry Sparks in Austwell. He married Billie Alley in Canyon in 1947. Allen was a Navy veteran. He served on the USS Thornton, Destroyer (AVD 11) and was stationed out of Pearl Harbor. He was a retired mechanic, farmer and rancher.
