Mrs. Arnett was born Feb. 27, 1954, in Chicago to Clifford Morris and Monica Kaden Morris. Survivors include a daughter, Angela Geuvara of Amarillo; two sons, Jose Luis Geuvara Jr. and Michael Anthony Geuvara, both of Wonderlake, Ill.; two brothers, James Morris of Mustang, Okla., and Clifford Morris of St. Louis; and a sister, Barbara Anderson of McHenry, Ill. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- George Dillard Sr. George Dillard Sr., 88, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Dillard was born June 28, 1917, in Evening Shade, Ark., and was raised in Arkansas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He moved to Amarillo in 1938 from Oklahoma City. While in Oklahoma he also lived in Hamond. He worked for Jack Sorrell, American National Bank as well as North State Bank before retiring. He was a longtime member of Pioneer Gun Collectors. He was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Felice Reynolds Dillard; and by a son, George Dillard Jr. Survivors include a son, Tim Dillard of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Greg Dillard, Amy LaCasse, Jennifer and Jessica Dillard and Faith Cheatheam; and two great-grandchildren, Dawson and Danyal. The family suggests as a memorial spending a day with a sick friend. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wilma Dene Patterson Wilma Dene Patterson, 80, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler with Ricky Pfeil of Kingdom Keys Network officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Ms. Patterson was born July 10, 1925, to Harvey and Nora Patterson in Wheeler County. She attended Sandy Basin School, graduated from Wheeler High School and attended Life Bible College in California for two years. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and worked for Pantex during World War II. She was a night auditor for several Amarillo hotels before retiring and moving to Wheeler. She was a member of Four Square Church in Amarillo. After being diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 1999, she was moved to Vivian's Nursing Home. She attended church regularly prior to her illness. She was preceded in death by her father on Nov. 12, 1966; her mother on Sept. 12, 1992; and a brother, William J. "Dub" Patterson on July 19, 1987. Survivors include two sisters, Mary E. Caswell of Elk City, Okla., and Floy B. Lewis of Amarillo; a brother, Nile J. Patterson of Claude; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-great-nieces and nephews. Mr. Murray was born Nov. 25, 1930, in Milford, Del., the son of Herbert and Jeanette Murray. He was a veteran, having served in the Navy during the Korean conflict. Mr. Murray married Shirley Beaver on Feb. 17, 1974, in Easton, Md. They moved to Hereford, where he started Bob's Heating and Air which he owned and operated for more than 15 years. Mr. Murray was a past president of the Hereford AMBUCS, a member of the Hereford Fire Dept. Retirement Board, lifetime member of the VFW, Past President of the Hereford Oasis Shrine Club, member of the Khiva Shriners, Past Master of the Hereford Masonic Lodge No. 849, Past Exalted Ruler and honorary lifetime member of the Hereford Elks Lodge, Past Commander of the American Legion in Milford and Past Master of the Milford Masonic Lodge No. 9. He was preceded in death by a son; a brother; and a granddaughter. Jack Eberman VEGA - D. Jack Eberman, 68, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005. Graveside services will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St., in Amarillo. Jack was born in Klamath Falls, Ore. He moved to Vega in 1971 from Hereford. During the 1960s, he worked as a cowboy. This was a love that he carried with him throughout his life. He was a Navy veteran. After moving to Vega he worked for the Texas Department of Transportation and was the water superintendent for the City of Vega. He had also worked as the director of Public Works in Shamrock and as the director of Utilities for the city of Monahans. Jack sold municipal supplies for more than 20 years. He retired in 2002 from Morrison Supply. He married Linda in 1972 in Vega and was a member of First Baptist Church of Vega. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Peggy Tretow and husband Walter of Loop, Darla Lookingbill and husband Sid of Hereford and Tammy and husband Brian of Idalou; a son, Douglas J. S. "Dub" Ingram FRIONA - W. S. "Dub" Ingram, 82, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Friona United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Patterson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Blackwell Funeral Home. Mr. Ingram died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at Prairie Acres Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was born March 7, 1923, to John and Mary Lee Blassengame Ingram in Wellington. He married Dorothy Faye Jones on Oct. 2, 1940, in Wellington. He moved to Friona in 1956 from Enochs. He farmed and raised cattle until his health failed. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was sent to the European Theater where he joined Patton's 87th Infantry Golden Acorn Division. He was on the Czechoslovakian border when the war ended. He was a proud and active member of Friona United Methodist Church in which he and his wife, Dorothy, raised their family. He loved and was so proud of his family. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Faye Ingram, who died at birth April 7, 1942; his parents; two brothers, Cleve Ingram and Clyde Ingram; and a son-in-law, Robbie Osborn. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Cris Ingram and wife Sylvia and John Ingram and wife Beverly, all of Friona; three daughters, Joy Osborn of Friona, Cindy Cassels and husband Dwayne of Hereford and Teresa McCoy and husband Bill of Temple; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Montie Velma Turner BOVINA - Montie Velma Turner, 100, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, in Friona. Arrangements are by Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. Turner was born Feb. 15, 1905, in Altus, Okla., to Isaac and Mary Jane Mollie Brewer Dial. She married George Turner on Dec. 24, 1926, in Childress. He died July 27, 1986. She moved to Bovina in 1955 from Lockney. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Bovina where she sang in the choir. She was a member of the WMU. She was also preceded in death by a son, George Dial Turner on Feb. 9, 1953; and a great-granddaughter, Kelli Glenn Mitchell on May 12, 1998. He was a lease operator for Cities Service Oil Co., working leases in Guymon and Lindsey, Okla., and Gladewater. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in Italy and Sicily. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion and was a past member of the Genealogical Society, Canadian River Gun Club and the Meredith Gun Club. A celebration of her life will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Burial will be in Austin Memorial Park. Virginia June Durrett Dinan died peacefully on Dec. 25 in Austin, surrounded by her extended family. Virginia was born May 19, 1924, to Walter L. and Mary E. Durrett in Amarillo, the youngest of three daughters. She was reared in Amarillo, attended Wolflin School, Central Junior High and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1941. She attended Lamar University and was employed in Beaumont, where she enjoyed airplane piloting. She married Thomas J. Dinan in Beaumont in 1946. Four children were born to this union. Her husband's career took the family to Austin, Washington, D.C., and back to Austin, where Virginia established Dinan and Co. Realtors in 1968. She successfully managed her business for 37 years. She was an active member of the Austin Board of Realtors, serving as president in the 1980s. She volunteered with Austin Women's Council of Realtors and The Pilot Club. She was a terrific mom, grandmother, mentor, role model and friend to many people in her life and will be greatly missed.. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lucille Durrett Hazlip of Beaumont; a half-brother, Walter Harrison Durrett of Abilene; two nieces; and three nephews. Survivors include two daughters, Donna J. Dinan of Austin and Kathy Dinan Clark of Hahn's Peak, Colo.; two sons, Christopher T. Dinan of Austin and Richard J. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home. Erma was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Floydada to Lillian and Neff Cardinal. She married her husband of nearly 60 years, Earl Moon, on Aug. 18, 1945, in Plainview. Erma and Earl owned and operated Moon's Roofing and Sheetmetal Inc. for 38 years before retiring in 1982 to their lake home on Greenbelt Lake in Clarendon where they enjoyed fishing, golfing and many beautiful sunrises and sunsets together. They relocated to Lubbock in 1991 to be near family. They loved wintering with friends in Brownsville, where golf became their passion. Earl passed away in January of this year. Erma had some of her best times with her ladies golf friends of the Elmgrove Ladies Golf Association.
