Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt with the Rev. Guadalupe Mayorga officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Dimmitt by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Ms. Davis was born Sept. 18, 1967, in Lamar, Colo., and was a homemaker. She grew up in Dimmitt, attended Dimmitt schools and sang in the middle school choir. Survivors include a son, Rickey Dion Davis of Fort Worth; a daughter, Racquel D'Shann Davis of Japan; her parents, Louis and Martina Moreno of Dalhart; a brother, Lee Richard Moreno of Canyon; a sister, Libby Melissa Avila of Hereford; and a grandmother, Filomena Moreno of Dalhart. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Lt. Benjamin Thomas Britt WHEELER - 1st Lt. Benjamin Thomas Britt, 24, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, in Baghdad, Iraq. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Wheeler High School Gymnasium with Brig. Gen. Terry of the Fort Hood Army Post and Monsignor Joseph Tash, pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home. Lt. Britt was born April 20, 1981, in Amarillo to David Jr. and Mary Britt. He attended school and graduated from Wheeler High School in 1999. He was valedictorian of his class, an Eagle Scout, participated in football, basketball, track and was an All-State Football player. He was also a State Academic winner in UIL. Lt. Britt attended Trinity University and played football for one year there. He attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he graduated in the top percent of his class in May 2004. Lt. Britt was on the Army Rugby team all four years while at West Point. He was stationed with the 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Ky. He completed the Airborne Assault and Ranger Schools. He was a platoon leader and deployed to Iraq in October 2005. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Wheeler. Survivors include his parents, David Jr. and Mary Britt of Wheeler; two brothers, Jake and Josh Britt, both of Wheeler; his fiancee, Megan Selmon of Norman, Okla.; and his grandparents, David and Paula Britt of Wheeler and Co. Burial will be in Dodson Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Jameson was born Feb. 23, 1938, in Wellington to Jess Young and Nellie Gray Young. She graduated from Wellington High School in 1956. She married Duggie Jameson on June 2, 1956, in Wellington. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patti Kaye Jameson in 1961. Survivors include her husband, Duggie Jameson of Wellington; a daughter, Danna Jameson Gustafson of Seattle; a brother, Jess Young Jr. of Fort Worth; and a grandson, Tayte Gustafson of Seattle. He married Jacqueline Rape on Nov. 20, 1950, in Los Alamos, N.M. She worked as a registered technician for St. Mary's Hospital's central sterile department. He was active in farming and ranching all his life. He had just recently retired from owning and operating Logan Food Market. He loved the outdoors and activities associated with the outdoors. Burial will be in Shattuck Memorial Cemetery by Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service. Mr. Hanshu was born May 5, 1909, to George and Mary Meier Hanshu on the family farm near Fargo. He married Esther Marie Deal on Aug. 2, 1941, near Shattuck and they made their home in Lipscomb County, Texas. Survivors include his beloved wife of 64 years, Esther Marie; a sister, Olynda Beck of Perryton, Texas; and a brother, Carl of Shattuck. Services were Friday in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nick Warner officiating. Burial was in Lerado Cemetery by Elliott Mortuary of Hutchinson. Mrs. Reece was born Dec. 19, 1911, in Fort Morgan, Colo., to Orin and Lizzie Long Ferguson. She was a longtime Lerado community resident, moving to Hutchinson in 1992. She was a graduate of Fort Morgan High School and attended Sterling College. For a short time she taught in a one room school in rural Sterling, then was a farm wife and homemaker. She married John F. Reece on July 26, 1933, in Fort Morgan. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Triangle Study Club, United Methodist Women, YWCA and Wesley Tower Singers. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 23, 2003; three brothers; and a sister. Survivors include a son, Bob Reece and wife Carol of Langdon; two daughters, Imogene Tilton and husband LaVerne of Hutchinson and Carol Jane Toperzer and husband Tom of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren, Noelle Regehr, Jeff Reece, Jennifer Miller, Mark Tilton, Sally Thorsell, Scott Toperzer and Max Toperzer; and 13 great grandchildren.
