Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with Billy Kersh officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Cutting was born May 8, 1927, in Helena, Mont. He attended college at Northwestern University in Chicago. Rick served in the Army during World War II and Korea and was a medic in a MASH Unit. Rick married Betty Wise on June 15, 1963. He owned and operated Richard Cutting Laboratory in Amarillo. Rick belonged to Starlighter and Tophatters Dance Clubs. Rick was married to Betty for 41 years and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Birdie Cutting, and a grandson, Cory Tuttle. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cheryl Tuttle of Tulsa, Okla., and Vicki Radmann and husband, Herby, of Menomonie, Wis.; a son Marcus Cutting of St. Paul, Minn.; his identical twin brother, Ronald Cutting of Belgrade, Mont.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. "Butch" Weatherbee, 80, of Amarillo died Thursday, April 28, 2005. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Bob Miller and the Rev. Robert Field officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Weatherbee was born July 2, 1924, in Eureka, Kan., to Mollie and Gary Weatherbee. He was the last surviving sibling of 10 children. He was a medical supply clerk in the Army Air Corps, serving in Hawaii during World War II. Mr. Weatherbee worked for Phillips Petroleum. In 1959, he was transferred to the Amarillo Phillips terminal. He retired in 1984 after 35 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church in Eureka. He was an avid golfer and had been a member of Tascosa Country Club. On Oct. 27, 1946, he married Edna June Richmond in Marion, Kan. Mr. Blandford was born Jan. 9, 1921, in Wellington. Mr. Blandford was a retired yardmaster at BNSF Railroad. He was also a Farmer's Insurance agent and a real estate broker. Mr. Blandford served in the Coast Guard during World War II. He was a member of the VFW, the Masons, the Shriners and the Elk's Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Jewel Blandford, and three sisters, Janis Henry, Joy Kenney and Polly Curry. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, June T. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Street Church of Christ with Art Lynch, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Brazell was born to Thomas and Ella Muse on Dec. 12, 1904, in Leon County. She was an LPN in Abilene for 20 years and was a 47-year resident of Moore County. She married Bert Brazell on Aug. 23, 1923. They had been married 59 years when Bert passed away on July 23, 1983. They were the parents of five sons, Leabert, Hobert, Tom, Billy Bob and Joy Lea. She was an active member of the Church of Christ wherever they lived, teaching Sunday school, ladies classes and vacation Bible school. She was a Rose Lady at Dumas Memorial Hospital and a Windmiller at the museum in Dumas for many years. She was a very happy person. With 34 spouses of descendants, the total living clan totals 165 people. She was given five years of loving care by a special caretaker, Valerie Chavez, the "daughter she never had..." so her sons now claim Valerie as "Little Sister." She was preceded in death by her parents; all six of her siblings; her husband; and a son, Hobert. Survivors include four sons, Leabert Brazell and wife, Billie, and Bob Brazell and wife, Jesslyn, all of Dumas, Tom Brazell and wife, Betty, of Cyril, Okla., and Joy Lea Brazell and wife, Lorene, of Albuquerque, N.M.; 22 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 47 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Powell was born Feb. 2, 1937, in Greeley, Colo., to Helen Erickson Miller and Gurdon Miller. She was a homemaker. She grew up in Estes Park, Colo., and Greeley and graduated from Greeley High School in 1955. She married Royce Powell in Dumas on Nov. 11, 1991. "Cornie" loved her family and friends in a special way. She especially loved playing Scrabble and visiting with friends and family. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and reading. She will always be fondly remembered with much love. She will always have a special place in the hearts of many. She will long be remembered and admired because of her faith and strength. Anita was employed by Xcel Energy for 20 years. She was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church, where she loved to sing in the choir. Anita's love was her God and her family. She and her husband spent countless hours supporting their children in their activities. Anita loved to spend time decorating the family home, but would always drop anything she was doing to help someone else. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mr. Tevis was born Dec. 16, 1953, in Perryton. He married Brenda Davis on July 4, 1992, in Lewisville. As a boy driving a tractor in the fields, Tracy would look up at the airplanes and say to himself, "That would be the life." While Tracy was still in high school, the late Hal Chase Jr. was his first flight instructor. Growing up in Perryton, Tracy was a member of First Baptist Church. He was later a member of First Baptist Church of San Marcos. Tracy graduated from Southwest Texas State University. A dream came true when Tracy received his pilot's license and became a commercial pilot. Tracy and Brenda lived in Lewisville until four years ago, when they moved to Midland so Tracy could be a pilot for a corporate business. Later, Tracy was a pilot for a pipeline company while Brenda completed nursing school. He and Brenda were planning to move back to Lewisville in May after Brenda graduated. Tracy volunteered to train the young man who would take his place as pilot for the pipeline company when the accident occurred, killing both pilots Thursday. Tracy and all of his family were together last weekend at the home of Noah and Whitney Tevis in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Tevis. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincente Gonzales, and a sister, Anita Gonzales. Connie was a member of Interests Unlimited, a social club that enjoyed learning new things about Amarillo and people. She had many longtime friends that were members with her in this club. She was a very talented seamstress and was a tailor for many years in Amarillo. She also worked for Colorado Interstate Gas Co. She loved people and would always take time to visit with anyone. She was considered the "Life of the Party" at social and family gatherings because of her love of visiting, laughter and people. There was never an age barrier with Connie, she helped, loved, enjoyed everyone she could, no matter their age. Besides a big heart for people, she was very fond of animals and birds, always making sure each creature had sustenance. She was especially fond of Chihuahuas and raised several. She often talked of what a glorious creation God had made, noticing every detail. She especially enjoyed flowers, roses being her favorite. Connie was a member of First Baptist Church. Freddy and Warttie were the owners and operators of Lazy F. Western Wear and also owned C&C Rodeo Co. Freddy was very well-known and successful in the rodeo stock business, especially for his bucking bulls. He was nominated by the Professional Bull Riders Association as Stock Contractor of the Year. His bull "Panhandle Slim" was the 1997 PBR Bucking Bull of the Year and "Grasshopper" was PRCA Bucking Bull of the Year. "Mo'Betta' was the 1996 PBR runner-up for Bull of the Year. Freddy was also a former Texas Cowboy Rodeo Association Stock Contractor of the Year. Freddy was active with local 4-H clubs and served on the Youth Project Board. He also served as a member and president of Childress Hospital District. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Childress. She loved walking and always invited others to join her, but few were able to last very long. Mr. Camp was born Sept. 4, 1941, in Pampa to Paul and Laverne Camp. After attending Texas Tech University in Lubbock, he proudly served in the Army in Vietnam with the 1st Engineering Battalion. Kent spent most of his early years growing up in Pampa and Amarillo. He was a proud Permian Panther, having been in the first graduating class of Odessa Permian High School. He grew up in the oil and gas industry and eventually opened up his own mechanical contracting company, Highland Industries. He later went into financial services and property management. Serving others and his giving back to his community are his enduring legacies. Always one to lend a hand or take on a task for someone in need, he gave of himself tirelessly. He loved flying, and flew for as long as his health would allow. He served as alderman in the City of Highland Village, chair of the Aviation Committee of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce, chair of the Amarillo Air Show, a founding member of The Texas Aviation Historical Society, a church elder, member of VFW Post 1475 and secretary of the local Mensa Chapter. He was also active in the Republican Party and a supporter of the Amarillo Symphony. His father was killed in a train accident when he was 2 years old, and his mother moved to Durham. Mr. Beckel resided there until he became ill in his last years. He received a scholarship and attended Coyne Electrical and Refrigeration School in Chicago and could fix just about anything. He was a mechanic, electrician and refrigeration specialist. He was the only refrigeration specialist in Western Oklahoma for many years and operated a shop in Durham until he was 85. He was a blessing to a remote community and appreciated for his willing hands. He married Clara Mae Jackson on Dec. 10, 1936, in Sayre. He was a Christian and loved his family, providing for them physically and spiritually. He was a member of Durham Church of Christ for many years before becoming a member of the Olsen Park congregation in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Strickland.
