Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St. Mrs. Hambrick was a homemaker and had worked in the bakery at Safeway Supermarket. Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Lawless and Vickie Marks, both of Amarillo; a son, Phillip Hambrick of Amarillo; a sister, Audrey Arthur of Vidor; a brother, Earl Williams of Amarillo; six grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She had been a resident of Bivins Nursing Home for several years. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff in Wing F for their kindness and caring of Dixie. Dixie was a nutritionist at Northwest Texas Hospital for some time, and she participated in the Candy Striper group, where she enjoyed the friendship and the services rendered by many of the Stripers. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.B. Price in 1985. Survivors include a stepson, Mike Price and family of Colorado, and two nephews, Billy Kelley and Dean Kelley, both of Amarillo. She graduated from Iraan High School in 1938. She had lived in Amarillo since 1961. Mrs. Hinnant was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reagan Cox Hinnant on June 4, 2001. He owned and operated Berry Custom Backhoe Service from 1964 to 1983. He moved to Amarillo in 1986. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry D. Berry in 1995; his first wife, Edith Marie in 1993; a sister, Lorene Elkins; and two brothers, W.A. Berry and Jack Berry. Mr. McFadden was born in Fort Smith, Ark., and moved to Amarillo in 1988. He graduated from Highland Park High School in December. He was active in FFA, where he enjoyed showing pigs. He loved aviation, astronomy and aircrafts and volunteered at the English Field Air and Space Museum. He was an avid collector of model planes. He loved to fish, he loved children and was always helping others. He was an active member of Amarillo South Church. Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Arden Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Bigham, pastor, officiating. Burial with military honors was in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Ortega was born Dec. 10, 1924, in Mendota to Jose Samolia Ortega and Maria Carrillo. He was reared in Mendota and Canadian, where he was educated. He joined Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad on Aug. 3, 1942. He entered the Army in 1943. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with two Bronze Stars. He was discharged January 1946. He returned home to Canadian and rejoined the ATSF Railroad. Mr. Ortega married LaJean Howard in Wheeler on July 28, 1952. They moved to Amarillo in November 1952. He retired from the railroad after 44 years of service on Nov. 30, 1986. Mr. Ortega worked as a sacker for 4 years at Homeland Grocery. Survivors include his wife; a son, Danny Ortega and wife, Debbie, of The Woodlands; three daughters, Ramona Ortega, Louise Rogers and husband, Jim, and Betty Sue Shoffner and husband, Rodney, all of Amarillo; a brother, Pedro Ortega and wife, Mary, of Amarillo; a sister, Josephine Garcia and husband, Aurelio, of Virginia Beach, Va.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He married Sithavone "Vone" Thongthep in 1989 in Southbridge. He grew up in Wellington and graduated from high school there. He moved to Tulia in the 1960s, where he worked at Tulia Auto before retiring in 2002. He enjoyed working on cars and especially restoring Chevy Impalas. He was a veteran and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and a member of First United Methodist Church in Wellington. He married Bessie Warren on May 9, 1936, in Pampa. She preceded him in death on June 11, 1993. He owned and operated various service stations and the Buffeteria in Pampa for many years. During World War II, he served in a defense job at Douglas Aircraft in California. He was a caring, loving, Christian family man and will be missed by all. Survivors include a daughter, Janie L. Mr. Naylor was born Oct. 24, 1944, in Perryton, Ochiltree County. Darrell graduated from Balko High School in May 1962. He attended Clarendon Junior College and Oklahoma Panhandle State University and was attending architectural school when he was drafted in the Army on April 19, 1966, during the Vietnam Conflict. Darrell was a Private E-4 with a specialty of light weapons infantry man. Darrell was injured in combat on April 14, 1967. He received the Bronze Star, Air Medal, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Marksman Badge and Vietnam Service Medal. Darrell had been cared for by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Naylor in their home in Perryton for 38 years. Mrs. Wells was born Aug. 30, 1921, in Erath County. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1950. She married J.V. Wells in 1950, and he preceded her in death in 1976. She was a member of the Home Extension Club "Loners on Wheels" for 15 years. She was a 50-year member of First Christian Church. She loved camping and fishing and spent a lot of years with grandsons, Stacy Pierce and Clint Lindsey. She had a lot of camping stories to tell, and she was an avid doll collector. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lavell Byas and Lois Reasoner. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Robin Gantz, retired Presbyterian minister, and Don Stone, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery. Mrs. Lohoefer was born Feb. 26, 1907, in Hunt County and was brought to Donley County as an infant by her parents, Adam and Icy Stanford Risley. She married Carl Harris in 1924 and then was married to Conrad Jerry Lohoefer in 1935. Clara worked for many years at the Farmers State Bank, which later became the First Bank & Trust, and then the Herring National Bank, before retiring at the age of 85. She was at one time active in her church. Clara saw many changes in her 98 years, including two world wars, the great flu epidemic of 1918 that took the lives of many Americans, saw women gain the right to vote and watched men walk on the moon. She often said that she would like to come back in a hundred years to see what the world would be like. She departed this life as she had lived it, with grace and dignity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lohoefer; a granddaughter, Deborah Sharp DuPuy; a sister, Helen McGregor; and a brother, Lloyd Risley. Mr. Durso was born June 28, 1938, in Union City, N.J., to Michael and Angela Durso. He was raised as a child in Weehawken, N.J. He began his employment as a banking and insurance executive. Leaving the corporate world, he returned to his passion in education and began serving as an education principal for the Catholic Diocese. He currently served as the principal of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Elementary School. He loved his dogs and Notre Dame football. He will be missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marie Durso.
