Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery by Myers-Chancellor Funeral Home. Mr. Cavazos was born July 25, 1950. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Esmiralda; his father, Santos Cavazos Jr. II of Quitaque; four stepsons, Van Leal Jr. of Roswell, N.M., Christopher Leal of Amarillo, Jeremy Leal and Ivan G. Mr. McCartney was born April 7, 1931, in Amarillo and was a lifetime resident. He was a 1949 graduate of Amarillo High School. He married Carolyn Vetesk in 1951 in Tucumcari, N.M. She passed away in 2001. Mr. McCartney worked in the commercial printing business for many years and retired from St. Anthony's Hospital print shop in 1996. He loved his family and enjoyed watching westerns on television. He was a devout University of Texas fan. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Emma McCartney; and a brother, Thomas McCartney. Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Edwards, Karen McCartney and Debbie Watley, all of Amarillo; a brother, Sheridan McCartney and wife Mary Jo of Las Vegas; four grandsons, Jason Mixon, Donald Watley, Jeffrey Aragon and Jared Aragon; two great-grandsons, Kaden Mixon and Kessler Mixon; his "special buddy" Zane Karrh; and three special nieces, Shanna, Peggy and Melanie. Mr. Danner was born Oct. 25, 1919, to Clarence and Gertrude Clark Danner. He settled in the Happy Community in 1929, where he was a farmer and rancher. He married Ernestine Prewitt on Aug. 17, 1939. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Happy Masonic Lodge. He was a Volunteer Fireman for 32 years in Happy. Mr. Christian was born Feb. 14, 1919, in Mountain View, Okla. He was a Dumas resident since 1943. He married Acena Weddle on May 2, 1945, in Tucumcari, N.M. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Dumas. He worked for American Zinc from 1943 to 1971 as a metal drawer. He worked in the maintenance department of First Baptist Church of Dumas for 13 years before retiring in 1984. He was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Christian; and a sister, Vera Neer. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Butch Weddle and wife Sheila of Virginia Beach, Va., and Dudley Christian and wife Marilyn of Dumas; two daughters, Janis Worley and husband Larry of Owasso, Okla., and Susan Buller and husband Wayne of Greeley, Colo.; a brother, Alfred Christian and wife Delene of Dumas; a sister, Margaret Manning of Skellytown; 11 grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. He was a member of Church of The Holy Spirit in Tulia and farmed for Delbert Devin for 38 years. He was a 1955 graduate of Lefors High School. He married Peggy Cannon in 1977 in Pampa. She preceded him in death in 1981. He worked for Cabot Corporation, the Texas Railroad Commission and Colorado Energy for many years. He was a Baptist and a former member of Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge No. 1381 AF&AM. Mr. McKnight was a veteran of the U. S. Army during peacetime. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Twila McKnight, in 1968; and his parents, L. A. and Eula McKnight. His work of 43 years with Petty Ray Geophysical took him and his family across the United States and around the world. Steve moved to Fort Worth in 1990 where he resided with his cousin, Zonita and Cecil Stallings and family. He attended Tarrant County Community College, earning an Appliance Technician Certificate and joined Cecil Stallings in partnership and operation of Busy Boys Appliance Service. He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Hankins; and nephews, Shane Kendrick and James "Jim Bob" Cates.
