Mr. Satterfield was born Nov. 5, 1928, in Atoka County, Okla. He married Sue McKee on Aug. 25, 1951, in De Queen, Ark. Mrs. Wilson was born and raised in Oklahoma. She married Bob Wilson, her lifelong friend, on Feb. 20, 1952, in El Reno, Okla. They moved to Amarillo in 1971 from Dumas. She worked many years at St. Anthony's Hospital and also worked for Vivian's Nursing Home. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was always most important and special to her. She enjoyed fishing, camping, playing bingo and cooking wonderful meals for her family. Mrs. Wilson was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Leona Smith, and two brothers, Alton B. Smith and Jimmy Smith. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rita Ecker and husband, Mike, of Amarillo; a son, Robert Wilson of Amarillo; a brother, O.J. "Orvill" Smith and wife, Oletta, of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Chris Ecker and wife, Georganna, Doug Ecker and fiance, Candi Ramos, Krista Wilson and husband, Bobby Jack, Beret Wilson and Kourtney Wilson, all of Amarillo; and four great- grandchildren, Ally Ecker, Ethan Ecker, Monie Wilson and Braylee Wilson, all of Amarillo. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Gilbert was born Nov. 8, 1928, in Amarillo to James C. Hayhurst and Ruth Reed Hayhurst. She was the youngest of 12 children. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1946 at the age of 17. She graduated from St. Anthony's School of Nursing in September 1949. She married Bobby Archie Gilbert on Dec. 25, 1950, in Amarillo. They were married 39 years when he died in 1989. She worked in the nursing field at St. Anthony's Hospital and at the Veterans Hospital. She returned to college and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Wayland Baptist College in 1985. Mrs. Gilbert was a devout believer in the "Word" and continued to study and believe up until her death. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She had very strong family values. She was a member of the Genealogical Society and had documented an extensive library on both the Gilbert and Hayhurst families. She was also preceded in death by her parents; nine sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include two sons, David A. Gilbert and wife, Katie, and Tim Gilbert and wife, Alice, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Zachary Gilbert and wife, Darlene, of Albuquerque, N.M., Eric Gilbert, Kelley Ryder and husband, Mark, and Charlie Sharpe, all of Amarillo, and Brandi Gilbert of Virginia Beach, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Raina and Nathaneal Gilbert and Colby and Logan Ryder; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Tinkham was born July 29, 1923, in Topeka, Kan., to John and Edna Tinkham. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on Oct. 15, 1942. He married Carma Offt and in November 1963, they purchased the Hyatt Chalet Motel in Amarillo. He served two terms as president of the Panhandle Motel and Hotel Association and one term with the Amarillo Convention & Visitors Board. After selling the motel, he worked for the Villa Inn before starting his own business, Classic Woodcrafts. He was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; his child, Alana Tinkham of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Tiffany Rivas of Canyon; and three great-grandchildren.
