Baumhardt Ann E. Baumhardt, 78, of Amarillo died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church with Msgr. Harold Waldow officiating and Msgr. Ray Crosier and Jose Mangulabnan assisting. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Baumhardt was born June 30, 1927, at her family's farm in rural Castro County near Nazareth. She was the youngest of five children in a pioneer farm family. She attended boarding school and did her nursing training in Fort Smith, Ark., where she later became a registered nurse. She married Roland Baumhardt on Dec. 29, 1951, in Nazareth. He preceded her in death in March 1976. Ann had a nursing career that spanned 45 years. Ann's greatest joy was her family. She took pride in their accomplishments, education, humor and devotion to the betterment of mankind. She was involved with various organizations such as PTA and Altar Society. She loved music and sang in church choirs for many years. Ann also loved to travel, especially to Creede, Colo., where she enjoyed attending plays at the Creede Repertory Theatre. Despite numerous health problems, Ann maintained her grace, humor and faith in God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland, of 24 years; one sister, Mary F. Steuben; and two brothers, L.J. "Bud" Steiert and Anthony "Tony" U. Steiert. Survivors include two daughters, Lou Ann and Lisa Baumhardt, both of Amarillo; a son, R. Louis Baumhardt and wife Pauline of Amarillo; a brother, Pete Steiert of Hart; a grandson, John Michael Baumhardt of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Charlotte Ann McKinney was born on Feb. 25, 1940, in Snyder. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a Baptist. She married Edd McKinney on June 9, 1960, in Abilene. She was preceded in death by her father, John Weller; her mother, Evelyn; and step father, Johnny Piker. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Renea Ellyson and husband Mark of Amarillo, Linda Kay McKinney of Dallas, and Shelly Ann Swain and husband Kevin of Amarillo; two brothers, Bill Weller of San Diego, Calif. and Eddie Piker of Silt, Colo.; four step-sisters; three grandsons, Brandon Ellyson, Nickolaus Ellyson and Kevin Swain, all of Amarillo; three granddaughters, Alexis Lowe McKinney of Dallas, Cydney Swain of Amarillo and Shandi Packer of Midland; and two great-grandchildren, Juwon and Jalen Packer of Midland. Mr. Lollis was born May 28, 1918, in Longview. He lived in the Perryton area since 1941, moving from Portales, N.M. He was a farmer and rancher, retiring in 1996. He married Christine Earwood on Sept. 16, 1939, in Portales. He was a member of Church of Christ in Perryton, the New Hope Community and the Wheel Go Motorcycle Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Eli and Viola Bickley Lollis; his wife; a son, James Ray Lollis; three brothers, Avery Lollis, Grover Lollis and Virgil Lollis; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bill Ham was born May 26, 1948, to Frank and Helen Hutchinson Ham in Amarillo. He graduated from high school in 1966 and attended West Texas State University. Bill married Marilyn Schuette in Canyon in 1981. He served in the National Guard. Bill was a lifetime farmer and rancher and a crop adjuster since 1996. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jim Bob Ham and wife Shannon of Canyon; his parents; three brothers, Jerry Ham and wife Carol of Claude, Robert Ham and wife Lana and Charlie Ham and wife Rosanne, all of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Daulton Eastin, Kelsey Ham and Clay Ham, all of Canyon; and several nieces and nephews. Joe was born on Nov. 23, 1936, to Arnold and Kathleen Pruet in Port Neches. He graduated from Abilene High School prior to receiving his B.B.A. at West Texas State University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a private pilot, aviation mechanic and flight instructor. Joe retired from the Treasury Department after 20 years of service in Arlington. He was a life member of the Confederate Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents. Joe will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
