Georgia St. Montysha was born and raised in Amarillo. She was a loving daughter and granddaughter and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Arden Guinn and Max Jacobsen. Arrangements are by Bailey-Ware Funeral Home of McLean. Leroy Archibald Terbush was born April 26, 1910, to Henry and Hattie Terbush in Alva, Okla. He traveled from Oklahoma to Alanreed in 1912 in a covered wagon. He was a good man, a good father and a good Papa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erin Terbush; and a daughter, Leola Dunlap. Survivors include two daughters, Clellan Kern and Louise Leach, both of Amarillo; a son, Gerald Terbush of Amarillo; two sisters, Francis Corbin and Agnes Wetsel, both of Groom; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Georgia St. Lois Ann Johnson, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, in Nevada. She was born Dec. 26, 1942, in Ida Grove, Iowa, and resided in Las Vegas for 16 years. Lois lived in several states, making friends everywhere she went and with people of all ages, races and economic groups. Lois loved life and living. She enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, playing bingo and cross stitching. She fancied cats and kittens. She felt great joy from her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Lois was a dedicated professional who worked her way from a temporary secretary after high school into many leadership roles in Texas, Ohio and Nevada, including the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and Odessa. She earned her bachelor's degree in 1983. She always cared about people, especially the disadvantaged, working in Ohio for a children's home and in her latest position for more than 10 years as deputy director of the Nevada Disability Advocacy and Law Center. She helped to better the quality of life for people with disabilities at both the state and national levels. Lois was someone whose spirit kept fighting when her body relented, a patient who beat odds with her uncommon determination and a person who raised spirits of others regardless of cancer and its harsh treatments. She was without question genuine, without question, real. We miss you, Lois. You touched our lives forever. Survivors include her stepmother, Mary Thies; her husband, Marty; two sons, Tim and Troy; six brothers, Don, Bob, Wayne, Dick, Mike and Gerry; two daughters-in-law, Teresa and Diedra; and five grandchildren, Shayne, Dillon, Caleb, Savannah and Scarlett. The family will receive visitors from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Georgia St. Mrs. Richardson was born Dec. 28, 1908, to James and Pearl Shaw Corley in Memphis. Ruby and Rich married on Dec. 23, 1926, in Breckenridge. Ruby was a lifelong member of Polk Street Methodist Church, PEO Chapter AN and was a volunteer nurse's aide during World War II. Mrs. Richardson was an avid reader and accomplished pianist. Ruby enjoyed her needlework and sewing. Granny was truly a fun loving, gracious, Christian and "Southern" lady who opened her home and heart to the young and old alike. Always with a smile on her face and an encouraging word, Granny was like a "Mother Bear with her cubs" when it came to her family. She was always there to nurture, protect and guide them through their lives. She believed that family, next to God, meant everything. She was preceded in death by four sisters; one brother; and her husband, Joseph Chambers Richardson. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Hanson of Fort Worth; a son, Joe C. Richardson Jr. and wife Susan Dixon Richardson of La Jolla, Calif., and Amarillo; a sister, Corley Sterns of Borger; seven grandchildren, Richie Richardson, Mary Lynn Holder, Elise Wilkes, James Dixon, Robert Hanson, Peder Hanson and Amy Hanson; and seven great grandchildren. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. McKay was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Turkey and was raised there. He married Corine Archer on March 25, 1950. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2004. They moved to Amarillo in 1957 from Silverton. He worked at Color Ad Sign Co. for more than 30 years before retiring in 1994. He was a member of The Church at Quail Creek San Jacinto Baptist Church. He was a loving dad and granddad, and he will always be our "Monkey's Uncle" and will be missed dearly. Georgia St. "Uncle Bob," as he was known, was born Jan. 20, 1927, to Gladys Juhl and Charles Leslie Nelson in Tulsa, Okla. Named after a distant relative, Robert E. Lee, Bob would graduate from Waco High and the University of Houston where he worked on the first broadcast of what would later be known as PBS. Working in the hotel industry in Washington D. C., Bob spoke of meeting Truman Capote and of witnessing the caisson procession at the funeral of President John F. Kennedy. After becoming blind, Bob returned to Texas where he worked as an X-ray technologist with Scott and White Hospital. He retired after 17 years. He reminisced often of his dear friends in Temple, especially of those in his Unitarian Fellowship. His greatest passion was his music, most especially jazz. In his youth he toured with a swing band playing the trombone. Bob was preceded in death by his father in 1946; his mother in 1980; his brother, Charles "Chuck" Nelson in 1985; and a sister-in-law, Lois, in 1971. Survivors include a niece, Leslie Richardson; four nephews, David, Tony, Scott and Shawn Nelson, their spouses, Vic, Debbie, Elaine, and Josefa and their children, Greg and Mark Holland, Ryan Richardson, Brandy, Cody, Justin, Chad, Joey, Tony, Shawn, Stephanie, Omar, Leslie and Jasmine Nelson; and his great- great-nephews and great-great-nieces, Braden, Parker, Alexa, Avery, Brandon, Ambria, Tyler, Clayton.
