Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. David Evans and Dr. Carey Skinner officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Stanton was born in Ellis County to James and Plumer Stanton. He married Velma Whitten on Oct. 13, 1941. They had celebrated 64 years of marriage. He entered the Naval Service, and the family moved to Amarillo after he completed his military service. He began a 40 year career at Pioneer Natural Gas, retiring as the plant superintendent of the Fain Plant. He also served as pastor for several Baptist churches in Amarillo and Washburn. When he was not serving as pastor, he acted as a deacon and taught Sunday school. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Bushland Independent School District Board. He raised quarter horses and enjoyed ranching. He also enjoyed piloting as a younger man. He was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school until a few years ago. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Judy Dendy and husband, Jerry, of Amarillo; a son, Bobby G. Stanton and wife, Dawana, of Georgetown; two sisters, Willie Edmonds of Arlington and Bobbie Sue Leatherman of Fort Worth; a brother, Ray Stanton of Borger; four grandchildren, Lara Lester, Tera Mirales, Derek Johnson and Jeff Johnson; a foster grandchild, Sae Jin Kang; and four great-grandchildren. Dyer, 95, of Amarillo died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Iola Allander, pastor of Tucumcari Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Dyer was born July 16, 1910, in Longview to Samuel and Pearl Hampton. Mabel's first marriage was to local Amarillo businessman Harvey Corn. Following Harvey's death, Mabel married Jack Dyer of Albuquerque, N.M., and Logan, N.M. They were married for 25 years. Jack and Mabel made their home at Ute Lake in Logan, but spent many happy days in Amarillo and Albuquerque. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her husband, Jack; numerous surrogate children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, from both Harvey and Jack's family; and a sister, Florence Giddens of Graham. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Craig Wright Craig Wright, 45, of Amarillo died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Trinity Fellowship Church with John Love and Garvin McCarrell officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Wright was born and raised in Amarillo and lived here all of his life. He was a 1979 graduate of Amarillo High School and graduated from West Texas A&M University with a M.Ed. LPC in 1995. He married Suzie Clark in 1987 in Amarillo. He worked as a conductor for Santa Fe Railway from 1980 to 1990. He opened his professional counseling practice in 1995 and operated it until the time of his death. Craig loved the outdoors. He loved to fish, snow ski and run. He loved helping others. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Wright in 2002. Survivors include his wife; his mother and stepfather, Jeanette Hebert and Jerry Chain of Livingston; a stepsister, Rhonda King of Vernon; and his stepmother, Sue Wright of Wichita Falls. Maxey, 86, of Amarillo died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Maxey was born Nov. 10, 1919, in Hugo, Okla., to Cicero and Sue Evelyn Cornelison. She married Louis Edward Maxey in 1938 in Hugo. They moved to Amarillo in 1941 and had been married 37 years when he died in 1975. She was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a lifelong member of the Choctaw Nation. Survivors include three sons, Glenn Maxey, Mark Maxey and Douglas Maxey and wife, Laveta, all of Amarillo; three daughters, Margie Kerek and husband, Jim, and Barbara Carl and husband, Joe, all of Amarillo, and Jerry McKinney and husband, Randy, of Red Oak, Okla.; a sister, Bobbie Johnson of Hugo; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Area Clara Marie Roth Nenstiel PAMPA - Clara Marie Roth Nenstiel, 87, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Taylor, pastor, and the Rev. Becky Nenstiel, co-pastor of New Hope Assembly of God in Panhandle, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Nenstiel was born July 24, 1918, in Clay County, Kan. She graduated from Clay Center, Kan., High School and attended Kansas State College. She married Donald Nenstiel on July 31, 1943, in Clay Center, Kan. They moved to Pampa in 1945. She taught school in Clay County for five years and in Pampa for 14 years. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Pampa, for more than 50 years, having taught in the children's department and being a faithful member of the Friendship Class. She was also active in the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Nenstiel was an avid bridge and dominoes player. She loved to cook, crochet and care for her family. Her greatest joy was in being a loving and giving wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Daryl Nenstiel of Atlanta and Joe Nenstiel and wife, Becky, of Panhandle; a grandson, Andy Nenstiel and wife, Nancy, of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Sarah Marie Garrison and husband, Christopher, of Springfield, Mo.; two great-granddaughters, Clara and Catherine Nenstiel, both of Amarillo; a sister, Helen Schurle of Green, Kan.; and two brothers, Carol Roth of Green and Paul Roth of Manhattan, Kan. Mrs. Gardiner was born Aug. 3, 1912, in Texmo, Okla., to the late Mr. Charles Fisher and Mrs. Ora Mae Brown Fisher. She was a graduate of Moorewood High School in Moorewood, Okla. She then went on to complete a business course at Draughn's Business College in Elk City, Okla. She married Hagen Gardiner on June 11, 1933, in Elk City. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1980. While living in Elk City, she worked at the First National Bank. Her family moved to Turpin, Okla., where they lived for about 13 years before moving to Beaver in 1955. Fay joined the Baptist church at an early age and later joined the Methodist church at Turpin, Okla. Upon moving to Beaver, she transferred her membership to First United Methodist Church and was the financial secretary for a number of years. Fay worked at the Bank of Beaver City for more than 20 years, where she met the public on a daily basis and was an integral part of the bank's operations. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Martha's Circle and the Eastern Star. She moved to Canadian to be close to her son in April 2002. She was also preceded in death by a son, Homer Gardiner on Jan. 29, 2006, and a granddaughter, Cristen Gardiner on June 11, 1981. Survivors include two sons, Cliff Gardiner and wife, Maggie, of Lakewood, Colo., and Mike Gardiner and wife, Deana, of Canadian; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Gardiner of Monticello, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Allen Gardiner and Chad Gardiner both of Frisco, Tra Johnson of Burleson, Stacy Hunzeker of Buda, Brandon Johnson of Houston, Steve Taylor of Midwest City, Okla., Jon Gardiner, Chuck Gardiner and Tom Keehen all of Bolingbrook, Ill., and Kim Crain of Naperville, Ill.; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was studio manager for Madeline Graves Dance Studio for the past 39 years. Mrs. Carubbi was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Women's Council. She was a former chaperon for the Miss Top O' Texas and Miss Texas Pageants. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ron Graves; two brothers, Nicholas LaBabera and Johnnie Galletti; and a sister, Rosie Schroeder.
