"Shorty" Fouch CHILDRESS - K.L. "Shorty" Fouch, 91, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kerry Hurst and the Rev. Johnny Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Shorty was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Granite, Okla. He and the former Delphia Rothwell married in June 1938 in Lovington, N.M. He owned Canyon Trucking Corp. in Midland until he sold in 1966. He then moved to farm in Childress and train cutting horses, for which he won championship ribbons and trophies. He was a Mason and a member of First United Methodist Church and Hughes Bible class. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delphia, in 1994. Frances Pearl Young Euler joined her beloved husband Raymond, daughter, Lorri, grandson, Jonathan, brothers, Ed and Neal, her parents and all others who reside in the perfect paradise of heaven, three days before the date of her birth, Valentine's Day 1924. Born in Sayre, Okla., she resided in Hereford for many years, moving to Friona after marrying Raymond August Euler on Aug. 11, 1957. She was a Christian of the highest order, and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and a true "public servant," carrying out her duties without regard to race, gender or anything but fairness to all during her 30 years of service as Justice of the Peace, Parmer County Precinct 1. She served in this office from Jan. 1, 1972, to Dec. 31, 2002. May God rest her precious soul. Mrs. Zybach was born March 21, 1911, in Gordon to John and Martha Jane Goad. Ruby was 7 years old when her dad died, and she moved to Wheeler County with her mother and 12 brothers and sisters in the 1920s. She married Elbert Zybach on July 21, 1928. She worked at home, raised her family and helped on the family farm. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Briscoe Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by husband, Elbert, on Nov. 16, 1991; her parents; all 12 brothers and sisters; and a great-great-granddaughter. Steve was born Oct. 2, 1949, in Amarillo and was raised here. He was a 1968 graduate of Tascosa High School and also attended Amarillo College. He was active with the Texas National Guard. He moved to South Fork, Colo., in 1976 and returned to Amarillo in 1986. He owned and operated rental property in Amarillo for many years. Steve loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. Gail Miles. She loved traveling, visiting with family and singing for various church and community services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Nelson. She worked for four years in a school cafeteria, but her true love was being a homemaker, wife and mother. Margaret lived a long and full life filled with many blessings. She will always be loved and greatly missed. We know that she no longer has pain and is at peace with God and her loved ones who have gone before her. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; three sisters, Helen Dove, Gladys Ramsey and Dorothy Henry; two brothers, Clarence Irvin Keisling and James Alexander Keisling; and two children, Charles Albert Mayhall and Letha Mae Johnson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Clark Williams, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Canyon, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mrs. Read was born July 3, 1917, in McLean to Carl and Tomie Overton. She was raised in the Panhandle area and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from West Texas State Teachers College in 1940. She began her lifelong love of teaching in Dumas and Claude during World War II. She taught in Waco where she met Albert V. Read, a steel construction foreman. They married in Rockwall in April 1949. They lived throughout the United States and settled in Dallas, where she and a fellow teacher started "The Little Red Schoolhouse" in Lancaster for kindergarten through sixth-grade children. The family moved to Canyon in 1962. She was a librarian and taught third grade at Rex Reeves Elementary, where she touched many lives until her retirement in 1982. The joys of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Read was preceded in death by her husband in 2002. Survivors include a son, Lee Read and wife Barbara; a daughter, Margie Chapman and husband Chapy; three grandchildren, Lisa Boehning and husband Shawn, Jeremy Read and wife Amber Nicole and Robin Bauerle; and five great- grandchildren, Maecie and Brodie Boehning, Braden and Avery Read and Cidney Bauerle.
