Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery with William E. Adams, pastor of Eternal Light Church of Borger, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Chandler was born in Shamrock. He married Brenda Joyce Sayre in Combs, Ark., on Nov. 16, 1970. He enjoyed yard work and his rose gardens. He spoiled his nieces and nephews by pulling practical jokes on them and the whole family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Pruitt; and two sisters, Glenda Nivens and Judy Chinea. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Chandler; a son, Glenn Chandler and wife Christy or Borger; three sisters, Carolyn Bustillos and husband Leo of Fritch, Sonnia Pruitt of Stinnett and Sherrill Rodriguez of Borger; a brother, Ronny Chandler and wife Judi of Farmington, N.M.; his father, J.C. Georgia St. Mrs. Gooding was born July 4, 1913, in Fort Worth to Van and Lou Harris. She married Dee Gooding on June 4, 1931. Mrs. Gooding lovingly cared for many families, children and babies with the utmost level of professional integrity throughout her career and was fondly known to all as "Nanny." She was immensely loved and adored. She was an outstanding cook and was known for having many secret recipes. She always cooked everything from scratch, including her famous peach and cherry cobbler which was second to none. She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 2, 1963; four brothers; and three sisters. She loved music, played piano and sang in the choir for many years. She also enjoyed her job as registrar at Amarillo College during the '40s. She loved playing tennis along with visiting a host of friends. She married Dr. Kenneth B. Porter, a renowned geneticist and wheat scientist, in 1951 in Denver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Kenneth Porter; her mother, Maude Miller; and a brother, Marvin Miller. She was an animal lover and she loved to laugh. Helen Woodward married Ernest R. Harris on Feb. 18, 1933. He preceded her in death in 1990. She was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a co-founder and member of the Society of St. Augustine, originally established in Amarillo, Texas, and then transferred to the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. Brother Thomas was previously a member of the Augustinian Recollect Friars, Province of St. Augustine. He entered religious life in 1956 at Tagaste Monastery, Suffern, N.Y., and made his Novitiate and Professed Vows at the former Monastery of St. Augustine in Kansas City. He was a graduate of Donnelly College in Kansas City. He was a received as a member of the Order of Knights of St. Lazarus in Bath, England. Brother Thomas' assignments included: vocation director for the Province of St. Augustine; the first religious brother elected to the provincial council of the Augustinian Recollect Friars headquartered in West Orange, N.J.; director of the book store at Donnelly College; Procurator of Tagaste Monastery; Administrator of the Society of St. Augustine; financial administrator of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Amarillo; financial administrator of St. Joseph Parish, Amarillo; in residence at St. Paul Church, Olathe; and in residence at the Villa of St. Augustine, Kansas City. Brother Tom was known for his wit, candor, and loyalty to his principles. He was endeared by friends and loved by his family and religious community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold D. and Angela Akers.
