Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with John Ott of Amarillo South Church officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Anderson was born Oct. 19, 1911, in Saylor, Okla., to Samual and Edith Anderson. Arthur lived in Borger from 1944 to 1998, then moved to Amarillo to be closer to his children. He retired from Phillips in 1978 after 31 years and was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Millie, in 2000. He was also a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church for many years. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents. Hughes St. Ernest Randle was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Taylor to Howard and Louise Dotson Randle. He attended high school in Taylor, where he met Lavonia Gage and they were married in 1940. They moved to Altus, Okla., where he was employed by Santa Fe Railway Co. He served in the Army in World War II and was honorably discharged. The family moved to Amarillo in 1968 and he did janitorial work for many buildings. He was a longtime member of Emmanuel Temple Church of God in Christ. She was reared and educated in Sulphur Springs. As a young woman she moved to Oakland, Calif., where she worked as a pop riveter building ships in support of World War II. She belonged to the famous group of American women known as "Rosie the Riveter." Following the war she moved to McKinney, where she married Otis Johnson Jr. on Jan. 19, 1951. They moved to Amarillo and she united with Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she was very active until her health prevented her from doing so. She was a longtime employee of Colbertms Clothiers and then began working for the American Quarter Horse Association, from which she retired. She was preceded in death by her only son, Richard E. Willams; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include three brothers, Robert and Cecil Askew, both of New York City and Travis Askew of Amarillo; three sisters, Jacquelyn Fontino of Houston, Betty Simmons of Gastonia, N.C., and Ervie L. She obtained her beauticianms license and opened a beauty shop in San Jon. Later she moved to Vega and operated a beauty salon in the Cotton Hotel in Vega, where she met and married her beloved husband, Ervin Pancoast. Together they built and operated the Vega Courts and apartments for many years until retiring. Josephine was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Vega, where she was active in the Altar Society. She was one of the last members of the congregation that was part of the construction of the current church building. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin; and two brothers, James and John Garcia.
