Military graveside services will be Wednesday in Johnstown Memorial Cemetery in Johnstown, Pa. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Baack was born Aug. 13, 1931, in Abilene, was raised there and was a graduate of Abilene High School. He entered the U.S. Army when he was 17 years old. He served two tours in Korea and served two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart as well as the Bronze Star. He retired from the Army as a master sergeant in 1971 after serving 21 years. He married Ann Kauffman in 1953. She passed away in 1984. Mr. Baack lived in Oklahoma City from 1978 until moving to Amarillo in 1984. He loved to read westerns and loved being "Pop" to his family. He was a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, Bob Baack of Amarillo and B.J. Baack of Calgary, Alberta; a sister, Barbara Buster of Choctaw, Okla.; a brother, Fred Baack of Paris; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ronnie Bishop Sr. Ronnie Bishop Sr., 64, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 12, 2006. Ronnie was born Oct. 9, 1941, in Maude, Okla. He worked as a manger at a grocery store. Local arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mrs. Curry was born Jan. 5, 1924, in Eldorado, Ark. She moved to Amarillo in 2000 from Bella Vista, Ark. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Curry, in 1993; and a son, Steve Curry in 1991. Virginia Hensroth was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Lenape, Kan., to Lee Michael and Elizabeth Johnson. She is survived by a sister, Jacquie Mitchell and husband Jack of Amarillo. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St. Mrs. Morgan was born May 9, 1917, in Little Rock, Ark., to Sam J. and Emma Maxwell Dale. She was a resident of Amarillo for 60 years and was a domestic worker. After rearing her family she also reared four generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a great love for her family and her jobs which made her a very compassionate person. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and had begun attending New Birth Bible Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; two sisters; two sons; and a grandson. Survivors include three sons, Willie J. Morgan, Garnie L. Morgan and Roger Grant, all of Amarillo; two daughters, Adella Mae Morgan of Amarillo and B.J. Franks, formerly of Sacramento, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 37 great- grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Jackson T. She was a graduate of Buhl High School as well as Albion Teachers College. She married Max Rarick in 1943 in California. He passed away in 1989. She moved to Bushland in 1949, where she worked at the U.S.D.A. Research Center for 20 years before retiring in 1991. She was a homemaker. She loved to entertain and cook for friends and family. Her home was always open to friends and family. She loved being "G.G." to her family. She was an officer and very active with PTA in Bushland for many years. She was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. Smith Marie P. Smith, 91, of Amarillo died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Llano Mausoleum Chapel with Tommy Ewing, minister of Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 10, 1914, to D.J. and Florence Billington Phillips near Weatherford. She was the last survivor of 11 siblings. The family moved to West Texas to farm in the 1920s. Mrs. Smith attended school in Plainview, and married C.A. Smith there on Jan. 21, 1934. She and her family lived in Wellington and Tucumcari, N.M., before moving to Amarillo in 1955. She was employed by Gunn Bros. Stamp Redemption Store until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge since 1943 and was last affiliated with San Jacinto Lodge No. 145. She was a Pink Lady volunteer at Baptist St. Anthony Hospital and a member of Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church. She was also active with the Amarillo Senior Citizens Center and the 45 Uppers Dance Club. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 17, 1979. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Urbany of Austin and Betty Reed and husband Sherman of Oklahoma City; six grandsons, Jim, Ronnie, Lou and Phillip Urbany and Michael and Jerry Wilson; two granddaughters, Karen Wilson and Melinda Urbany; seven great-grandsons; and four great-granddaughters. She retired from Southwestern Public Service Co. after 23 years in 1999. Michael Trainer was born June 20, 2005, in Amarillo. Everyone who met him loved him. His brother, Sean, had to kiss Michael every morning, noon and night before he would do anything else. Michael was a fighter every day of his eight months of life. And the greatest of his many gifts he leaves behind is how he brought his family closer to each other. She later worked as a school nurse for Amarillo Independent School District until her retirement. She was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church. Mrs. Williamson married C.L. He was a 1939 graduate of Canadian High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II. He married Betty Hale on Jan. 17, 1953, in Clovis, N.M. Revis owned and operated Massey Water Well Drilling Company. He was also a longtime faithful member of First Christian Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon and elder until he was no longer able. Mrs. Chambers was a 1944 graduate of Amarillo High School. She then went to work in the Pentagon in Washington during World War II. After the war she came back home and went to work for Amarillo National Bank, then she went to work for Robbins Lumber Co. She finished her career with the Potter County Clerk's office. She was a longtime member of Central Church of Christ in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Crouch; two brothers, Leo Wilmeth and wife Mildred (whom Mrs. Chambers was named for) and C.E. Wilmeth and wife Elizabeth; and her parents, John and Gladys Wilmeth. May Beth Smith Davis, a woman of kindness, joy and faith, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in Baptist Memorials Hospice after a long illness. She was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Coleman County to Edgar and Viola Mae Smith, and lived as a child in Snyder, Whiteface and Levelland. She graduated from Cobleland High School and after attending Draughon's Business School in Lubbock, worked as a secretary until meeting her husband, Wheeler Herschel Davis, and moving to Claude, where they farmed until retiring in 1975. After retirement, they moved to San Angelo, where they were faithful members of Immanuel Baptist Church, Mrs. Davis for many years teaching the nursery and toddlers' classes. She also provided loving care for the children of San Angelo families, including the Caraway daughters, Arlene and Kim. Mrs. Davis was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wheeler; two brothers, Edgar and Oron Smith; and a son, Jerry Ross Davis.
