Price Margie L. Price, 82, of Amarillo died Friday, March 24, 2006. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Memories at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Bill Moody, pastor, of Missouri officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Price was the youngest of 13 children and was raised in Foster, Okla. She married the love of her life, T.J. Price, on Sept. 18, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Price; her parents, Walter Thomas Gibson and Laura Hale Gibson; and a son, Tommy Gene Price. Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Jean Barbee of Memphis; a sister, Ruby Snodgrass of Pauls Valley, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Dawn Robinson and husband Vance, Sequin Sena and husband Steve and Clint Price, Donna Price and Peggy Dale Nail and husband Larry, all of Amarillo, Denise Howard and husband Nathan of Purcell, Okla., and Sonia Berry and husband Stephen of Ridley Park, Pa.; 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He retired as a staff sergeant after serving for 23 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam for three years. Born Nov. 30, 1931, in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico, she was a resident of the Stratford and Texhoma area for more than 40 years. She married Jose Torres on Nov. 5, 1949, in Meoqui, Chihuahua. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford. She was preceded in death by a brother, Salomon Garcia; and a sister, Berthita G. Martinez. Survivors include her husband, Jose Torres of Stratford; four sons, Carlos Torres and Martin Torres, both of Boise City, Okla., Jose Manuel Torres of Dallas and Eloy Torres of Amarillo; six daughters, Linda Jiminez of Dumas, Lupe Morales of Hitchland, Argelia Rodriguez of Gruver, Sylvia Soto of Stratford, Yolanda Vazquez of Dallas and Carmeza Avalos of Guymon, Okla.; two sisters, Rita Garcia of Meoqui and Inez Garcia of El Paso; 24 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Bennie Woods was born Oct. 5, 1929. He married Jerry Banister on Nov. 23, 1950, in Canyon. He was a member of the Texas National Guard for eight years. He was also a member of West Texas SAMS, First United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Crusaders Sunday School Class. Bennie retired from WTAMU. He was lovingly known as "Papa Bennie" by his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; a sister; and a nephew.
